I use the headphones directly attached to PC though (X-Fi Xtreme Music sound card) and not a portable player. Perhaps you don't have the audio jack fully plugged in or your player's volume is too low?
I couldn’t imagine these headphones being under powered in my experience. The Bass Mod makes them too overpowered in fact IMO.

|jaymiggy||alright, so i just got these headphones in the mail. I did the bass modification and they sound great. The only issue i have with them is the power/volume is way low. I would think they would have some huevos.|

Any comparisons to the Audio-Technica ATH-M30 and Monoprice 8323?

On a side note these seem to sound a lot better, provide better sound isolation and more comfortable than HD201 i been using.
Thanks OP. Repped.
Someone in another thread had mentioned this process to burn-in. Any one have had any experience with this? https://www.jlabaudio.c

Thumbs up for this deal. A warning to those with smaller heads, these headphones seem to be wider than most. I've tried on several pairs at different bestbuy and while they sounded great and we're much more comfortable than other headphones, each felt very loose. I've read about this on head-fi before so I know I'm not the only one. I've anyone thinks they have a smaller than average head, I'd definitely recommend trying on a pair first! Although at this great price I am still considering getting these.
As a comparison, I'd say the Sennheiser 280 pros fit me the best, which are known to have a pretty good clamping force and are too tight for some people.

|datr||These are *ok* headphones. At $30, the value is good. However, I would never qualify these as great in either the sound or comfort department. I would, however, put them above the crap apple throws in with its merchandise. If you want great headphones, you'll need to open up your wallet a bit.|
