Yes Refurbs do have 90day warranty, but from the seller.. there is no warantty or free support from the manufacturer (Toshiba)..

Hey thanks for checking back on me I did return it and they paid for the return shipping. The only sad part is that I already bought a screen protector so after all I lost $20 plus gas to send it to UPS Q_Q

I just registered my tablet on the toshiba site and it looks like the 1 year manufacterer warranty had already expired even before i received the tablet.

It's factory refurbished, right? See if you can get a Toshiba CSR to send you a good one.[/QUOTE]
Update: I filed a petition through eBay, and they sent me a new cable--I got it in the mail today. I left them a positive feedback.

Well you are talking about Amazon though... Amazon would even pay for your return shipping... I feel like I will have to spend a lot on shipping to resolve this mess...

Even i had given up on my tablet, and just left it on charge and contacted amazon about returning the tablet (i missed this deal and had purchased mine through the next amazon deal that was slightly higher price). It was while talking to them i looked at the tablet and saw that it did really charge a little..
Worst case situation if it really is a faulty tab / cable, I doubt they would just send oyu a replacement cable / adapter. i guess they will just refund you the total cost including shipping (thats what amazon offered to do)

Thanks for the reply (repped). My issue is that even with the power plugged in, it would not turn on at all...I put it to charge via USB through my laptop and it still didnt work... I guess I was the lucky one who got the only one that didnt work... T_T

if nothing happens, while cable is plugged into tablet, try presing and holding power button for few seconds, you should feel a vibration as it turns on..
in my case, since tablet had 0 charge it would not turn on, but witht he power cable connected it would turn on. and the moment i remove the power cable it would turn off again..
with the power cable plugged in, if you are not able to see the battery icon OR turn on the tablet, i would guess there is a problem.. just to be sure try a different outlet as well..

... and a quick question: For the charger, does your USB cable go all the way into the adapter? Mine only goes halfway in and if I test the USB cable on my cellphone charger it would go all the way in, which makes me wonder if the adapter is faulty...

and I think the charger is very problematic because the USB hub will not go all the way into the adapter... fingers crossed that 1SAD will provide a free replacement charger or I may have to go to eBay CS...
Nope no sign of anything... I doubt the charger is broken...

after a couple hours the red line should go and your battery should be filled up to some level, now you should be able to turn it on..
Although i was able to turn on my tablet, it would turn off immed because of no charge and i kept meddling wiht it to see if it was charging or not.. which is why it would take longer..
finally i just left it alone for some time and the charge rose.. slowly but surely..

|wfhbright||Mine wont turn on at all, even if plugged in. Anyone having the same issue? Q_Q|

i got mine today (with 0 charge), and like some one else said, it does not seem to be charging.. how can you make out of its charging or not?
if i have the power cable in with tablet off, there is a large battery icon that glows with 1 red line at the bottom.. does that mean its charging? the line does not increase or turn green.. it just stays there..
If i turn on the tablet and go to settings ==> battery, it shows that its 0%-Charging (AC). but % does not increase..
I may have earily kept it on charge for 30-45 minutes, but i was constantly turning it on / off to see if i can figure it out..
is the tablet faulty?
