Was anyone successful in getting the mover's coupon to stack with the price match? I purchased it online.
I tried to price match on Friday at the local store where I'm to pick it up. They won't do 110% match since it's special order. They said they would price match it to $579 butI wouldn't be able to use the 10% mover coupon on top of that.
They won't let me do the price adjustment until I pick it up (should be next week). It's "in process" and can't be adjusted right now. One rep was saying it's going to be a return/reorder type of deal.
I'm just trying to figure it out:
649x 2 = $1298
- 10% movers = $1168.20
- 5% Discover Cash back ($65) = $1103.30
-$200 rebate = $903.30
- $80 Lowes gift card = $823.30
If they price match to $579
579 x 2 = $1158
- $80 Lowes gift card = $1078
If i can still get the 200$ rebate = $878
If I can still get the 5% Discover Cash Back ($58) = $820.10
It doesn't make sense to adjust if I don't get to use the 10% movers coupon. That would bring it down to $704.30!
I didn't include tax in my calculations because I added the recommended accessories (hoses, power cable, vents)

Bump for an update.
I bought both units from Lowes for $649 each. I bought the accessories as well
I'll have to go to Lowes and get the price match for $579 each
- 10% movers coupon
- 5% shop discover bonus
$200 Maytag mail in rebate (good until 5/30)
**NEW** Lowes giftcard for appliances purchased between 5/29-6/18
$80 for orders between $799-1198
$120 for orders between 119901498

I know this is a bit of a bump, however we need to buy a refrigerator soon and I figure this is a pretty good time.
Even though I can get some CB and coupons at Lowes, HD, Sears and others, I'm thinking of going thru Costco. They include the installation and all needed accessories (hoses and what-not). They also have the Maytag rebate form on their site. We got our stove and overhead microwave through Home Depot and the salesman neglected to tell us about a needed part, so we had to get that and the installation guy had to come back out. The gas company came out and told us what we needed. So we ended up paying for installation that was free at the beginning.
So, for what seemed like a good deal at the time ended up being not so great. I'd rather have Costco deal with the extra stuff. Also, though I haven't checked, I imagine they extend the warranty. I better ck that out.
So, remember, if you're going to use a Maytag rebate, the expiration date is getting closer. I've been tempted to buy one from out of state and not pay taxes, but think it would be smarter to stay close to home in case of any problems arising.
I've been researching fridges forever it seems, so I just want to get it over with before this one tanks. It's a Whirlpool and has been a good appliance for at least 15 years! We never bothered with the ice dispenser as that seems to be where most of the problems originate.
Costco will haul your old one away for free, but SCE will pay you $35 to pick it up and then there's always Craigslist. Though there are a TON of fridges on there for cheap. I could also donate it to a local charity.
Our fridge area is in a kind of awkward spot where there's not much room so I keep measuring the damn space. Oh, well, I'll figure it out. Any suggestions (nice ones ) are welcome.

|zizo79||how are these guys?|
|05-22-2013 03:08 PM|
MVWB850YW: $788.49 - 10%=$709.64
MGDB850YW (Gas): $873.99 - 10%=$786.59
Total=$1496.15-$250(Maytag Rebate Debit Card)=$1246.15 without taxes
Overall I'm pretty satisfied despite not getting 110% price match.

So from the $650 from the last poster, this is looking like it would be $715 if we add the 10% (since it's only 100% price match not in stock)
$650 made sense for a new set over used. 715 is pushing it. I know the cheap stuff on craigslist can be a crap shoot, a used appliance store is a better bet.

|binhsterbinh||Tried to pricematch on Lowes online and the rep actually has to call the local store to validate inventory and okay the price match. Unfortunately, the MVWB850YW washer and matching gas dryer were not in stock; however, they do carry that model in the local store as a floor model. No stock until 5/31. I was trying to match Sears. With that in mind, I could only do 100% price match and 10% mover coupon. I told the rep I was going to think about it and she'll call me in morning to see if I still want to buy.|

I made the purchase online and went into the store for a price match. Called a manager ahead and explained the situation. She fully understood and it was so painless.. In and out in 10 mins.
Also, the item had to be in stock for the extra 10% so I had to find a store with both units near me. It was worth the 15 minute drive!

I'm about to pull the trigger on this being this is $200 more for a new machine vs a used machines I'd get. How do you get the price match online?
|05-20-2013 04:07 PM|
Hey everyone, Lowes has this for 584.10 while Sears has this for 550.99 each.
I ordered online at lowes, using shop discover getting 5% for home improvement + 5% for shop discover. That is 10% off. Then I used a movers coupon for 10%. THEN they gave me a 10% off + price match.
So, overall I paid $955.10 today, plus I get the additional 10% off of the with shop discover making that 859.59. Then, the maytag $200 rebate making this 659.59.
Couldn't believe I got such a good deal, when a full priced unit is $650 + tax. My prices above include 7% sales tax.

Can you combine this with the PG&E and Water Company $125 rebate?

As for the coupon, sounds like the codes are unique. That said, I called up Lowe's CS and they will credit the difference if you bring in the coupon with your receipt.

They guy I talked to yesterday would not do the 110% price match to sears, I will go back and try again. Also I still have not received my 10% movers coupon and I signed up close to 7 days ago... Are these unique codes?
