|bch7||Update : Returned two of these subs after auditioning over the weekend. Although they did add bottom end to a Mission 72? 3.1 setup, it wasn't worth the $130. This sub reminds me of the subs included in a home theater in a box set up or the sub included with a decent 5.1 pc set up. They definitely won't add much to our Infinity Overture Compositions set up....totally different class of performance. No thanks. Considering that two of these are 1/3 of the way to an HSU, I'll hold off for one of those.|

Just got mine as well and I have an apartment with cathedral ceilings open stairwell, pretty large living/dining room. 13ft ceilings, 23ft length, 17ft width. for $65 this is a slick a$$ deal. Definitely what I was I looking for plenty of bass for an aptartment. Even knocked a pic off the wall when I was testing it. This is a good sub for the price.

|blwnv8||Well I received my sub today and got if hooked up. It does sound pretty good. I will agree it probably wouldn't be so good in a larger room but I'm in a apartment and I'm pretty happy. It could drop a little lower for my taste. It is only a 100w 10" woofer. People that are complaining about it are expecting it to be something it's not.|

If you are looking for a front speaker to go with this Energy Sub here's the Energy Veritas V-Mini-C 2-Way Center Channel Speaker for $88.88

|RealD3Al||Monoprice has some $100 and under subs fyi as a comparision|

|RealD3Al||Comparing this subwoofer to those that cost 2x 3x 4x more is not fair, this subwoofer would be a nice upgrade for those using HTIB set ups were they have a "bass module"..this is an ideal upgrade.|

[Edit] Come think of it, perhaps better to split the Emo's speaker outputs into two (via some sort of Y cable or just jam two sets of speaker wires into the binding posts) and feed one set to the Energy. The RCA outputs seem to be at a fixed level, which means the sub's volume won't scale with your main speakers.

No way for me to use the LFE output and I only see 1 set of level inputs
how does one hook this up with the emotiva mini amp?

Specs are all you really need to know where this sub lies:
Rated Power100 watts dynamic, 50 watts continuous (FTC)
Pretty anemic bottom end and power totals. Would probably be acceptable for a small playroom/office/game room/budget system but not for someone with discerning tastes or even a medium budget.

|adobepro||Great price. Thank you.|

I can't speak for quality, this is a general statement:
This sub would be a fine match for a set of smaller speakers, especially for the price. I'd take this sub for 45-100 Hz (or whatever your cross over freq is) over your typical lo-fi bookshelf speaker over the same range- a 10inch woofer or a 4,5, or 6 inch?

connect the cable from soundbar sub out (black RCA) to the left/LFE (white RCA) on the back of the sub.

|kcortez101||Oh god..just get a $200 sub at least. BIC F12 my recommendation if you want a good budget entry level subwoofer that'll dig deep with bass.|

|CharlieDingDongs||My soundbar only has one black RCA connection as sub out. theres not Right and Left channels. Will this work for me?|
