|ChrisML||Does anyone have a young child that plays this? What do you think the youngest age would be for someone to understand how to play this game is?|

I haven't tried yet, but you're able to save your art in the portfolio and/or export to photos.
Export to photos is what you do (maybe save to portfolio 1st).
When you have the SD card out of 3DS and into your computer you just look thru the DCIM file for your picture.
I put it very simply, please check online for more and better details.

I did not know it was possible to transfer art work from the 3DS to a computer, thank you for the information.
I bought this for $30 for my 13 year old cousin 13 days ago, luckily I stumbled upon this price while looking around the other 3DS games on sale (that went on FP and popular deals) and got BB to refund me the difference soon. My cousin really loves the game, I'm thinking if I should jump in or not.
One question, are there any save slots for the game? If 2 people were to share 1 cartridge, how would they go about doing it? thanks

Thanks, I have this and like it.
I feel inspired to try my hand at "painting" my own creation, and like how they've broke down the steps, for the most part.
I can then copy my art work to my laptop via the SD card from my 3DS.
Has pretty ambient sounds while you work.
If you're into this kind of "game", the $15 is worth it.
You can purchase additional lessons for about $1.99 each from the eShop.
