Heads up for those who jumped on this deal: HP is offering a $150 coupon now (NEWPC150). You may be able to call and have the price adjusted, like this user from the parallel thread:

How soon are Haswell pc's going to come out?
I'm also not sure why they keep including a dedicated gfx card - the integrated gpu on modern cpu's is more than good enough, and if you game you will want a better video card anyway. So they can save money, power, heat by not adding the gfx card.

If all you want to do is a quick OS reinstall, then you don't necessarily need an SSD. You can use the recovery / factory image reinstall tools that already come with the PC and be done with it in 15 minutes. Don't forget to backup your data/settings beforehand.

Sandy bridge only? pass....
I was looking for a desktop as well in the $500-$600 mark - but ended up seeing this laptop at bestbuy for $229 for a refurb unit:
It was out of stock for both shipping and and in store pick up - but suddenly one day a store near buy had it in stock for a store pick up : ordered and had it picked up.

I'm not in the market I got a great deal on a complete gaming tower from my local Craigslist for only $500 last year (the parts booked out at $1200 at the time on Newegg). It has parts I can make last another couple years through timely upgrades and still stay at the top of the food chain. It's awesome when you have cash and people are hard up.

|gooneygoogoo||I bought the 1360t like maybe 6 months ago. I pulled out the upgraded video card and replaced it with a 4 monitor card when I realized it did not have a pci slot for my old secondary video card. I think it's a pretty great machine for the money ( I paid $750 with tax). The only beef I have is with the audio. It seems VERY noisy weather the analog outputs, or through the hdmi. I think it's the stupid Beats audio bull shit. I dono.|
