|crakarjax||Got my sony a-mount lens after contacting buydig,,, seemed like my order just fell through the cracks. Now I just need to figure out how to use this lens! Manual focus, manual aperture, and manual shutter speed.... going to take some reading for sure.|

Ohh well at least they took it back without a restocking fee or having me pay for the return. Buy dig took care of everything

I had the same sort of thing happen when I first got a Rokinon lens. On my Rokinon 35mm I set it to "A" above F22 and then it worked fine. (I have to hold down the little metal button to get it to "A".) Not sure if this lens is different. Some you set to F22. I also enabled the camera setting that allows you to use the aperture ring manually.
The only other thing I can think of is setting the camera to Aperture Priority or Manual mode. And maybe manual focus.
I have a Pentax K-5 so don't know much about Nikon settings.

Capturing sharp images of the kids inside with incandescent lighting appears to present a challenge with this lens (T4i w/o a decent flash) but that can be a challenge with the kit lenses too. Disclaimer- I'm only a few months into shooting DSLR and maybe a month into manual mode shooting. Tom Bricker and a few others continue to provide inspiration.

|bch7||Thanks to those who convinced me to invest in this lens. I've been shooting for a day now with a T4i and it's been a blast. I can't wait to put it through its paces at Disney & other family outings. Any inexpensive distortion software recommendations? I have LR4 & PE11.|
