They came double boxed as Amazon always does, but not much in the way of packaging otherwise (just a few air packets).
Edit: They are $10 cheaper now than they were 6 days ago. On my way to try to get a credit.
Edit 2: $70 credit received! Thanks for making me look that drive up again! =)

I just bought seven of the 4TB NAS HDD Seagate drives. They have ZERO reviews, so I've got my fingers crossed! =)
I'd have bought Red's if they had them in 4TB

Am i missing something... I know you guys said '1 rebate per household' but.......
the fineprint looks to me to read that there's a limit of 3 rebates per person per household and a limit of 1 rebate per envelope?? Am I reading this right
" Limit Three (3) rebate per qualifying rebate offer, per person, billing address, company, household and receipt/invoice/packing slip during
the eligibility period, except were prohibited by law. Only one (1) rebate application per envelope. "

|zeklen||Wish this was the BLACK (from what I hear, better for gaming?). If someone could educate me on why you wouldnt want to use a RED for gaming that would be great. thank you!|

Nice NAS 3TB but for $156.99 can buy Seagate Barracuda 4TB. Worth the extra $27 for 1TB more?

It says one claim per household but why can't one claim have 3 drives on it if everything else says you can get a rebate on 3 drives.

I was able to get B&H to come close to price matching the old NewEgg deal of 130.99. The advantage in ordering from B&H is they package their drives better and no sales tax collected for us Californians.
Not to mention they seems to be more willing to cut me a deal the more I order from them.

TD rebates are always AMEX giftcards, use them within the first 4 months to avoid fees
NE rebates are always prepaid visa debit cards,

When I would buy two of these internal drives, how can I build a raid or a backup solution? Which enclosure would be the best bet?

I can see how the thread title could be slightly misleading, though.
