|jnisme||Was able to get in on this today using the $100 coupon. Just asked the tech guy if the coupon I had printed out would work for the Dell Inspiron 660, he looked, and said "sure". He took the last one from the shelf in Holland, MI, rang it up, scanned the coupon, which went through with no problem even though the sale price was $479 and the coupon specified min price at $499. After tax and a $20GC from a sodastream rebate a few weeks ago, walked out with this system for about $390. It's certainly not a high end system, but will be a good replacement for my kid's PC that died last night.|

This machine would be slick at $299, but I'll pass at this price.

Haha...sorry...all props to DeelSeaker!
Flipkick - I just called up the 800 number for Staples and told the lady that I was having trouble getting my coupon codes to work online. I mentioned that I had spoken with people that were able to use both discounts over the phone, and she was happy to help. I made sure to say that the reason the $100 off code wouldn't work was that the $150 discount was being taken first instead of second. She had me on hold for a while, but was able to stack them.
You should call sooner rather than later though if you want the deal, because Staples tends to close much earlier than most retail outlets in my experience.

Just got the deal with the Dell Inspiron 660 Desktop PC over the phone. Price dropped to about $380 plus tax, bringing my total to around $414!!! The customer service person from Staples was awesome & professional, and she was able to stack the discounts for me after a while being on hold.
Thanks SlickDeals!!! You just saved me a bunch of money!

Looks like only the "Win 8 Pro (OEM)" can be legally downgraded to "Win 7 Pro" or "Vista Business".
Technically? Should not be a problem at all.
Drivers for Windows 7 are available from Dell:

Well now this is showing in stock at my local store (wasn't when I ordered for delivery online). Anyway, thinking of running down and buying it tonight and cancelling or returning the one on order from online.
edit: I went down and bought it with the coupon no problem.
