She (he?), definitely sounded like a spiteful ex-seller. She mentioned having coupon auctions shut down.

I think eBay was trying to kowtow to manufacturers, as I've noticed lately some coupons now actually stating "illegal to sell" or something to that effect. But eBay has always had a buyer beware type policy too, which may be the reason why eBay is letting it slide a little.
From time to time I have bought live plants on eBay and a few years ago I found a seller selling seeds for a plant I was looking for. This particular plant is fairly rare and is also sterile. I reported several listing for the seeds and nothing was ever done, I finally actually emailed eBay over it and was told the "buyer beware" story. That in itself seems counter to eBay prohibiting fraudulent listings, I think they just do a lot of dancing - nothing more.
Since you could never *sell* coupons anyway, I thought for sure listings would continue with a "you're purchasing and envelope containing one coupon and I'll throw in a bonus envelope with 19 more for FREE!!!!"

|everakuma||I doubt eBay can truly stop determined sellers from selling on eBay. There are plenty of loopholes around their 25/month restrictions. Its how a lot of eBay sellers make a living. So im sure most will keep selling until eBay either closes the loopholes or bans their accounts.|

I have some really great coupons that in the old world I would have just put up on eBay. I found a seller who has been posting several sets of the coupons I also have. They have sold two sets of (15) coupons (worth $11.25 each at face value) for $9.95 each of the coupon I was searching for. There were several coupons on the sheet I have and they have been selling those as well -- so certainly over the 25/month maximum.
I could really use money like that right now but would never want to jeopardize my eBay account. Are people just ignoring the rules and eBay is is pretending not to see?

Yeah.. i sure missed ebay... great prices and at least you can see feedbacks. I agreed some of the rates are ridiculous.

I've checked the "locked" thread for seller list and can't find the "old" thread with seller lists, and the link in the wiki doesn't work.
I've found that some sellers have actually raised their rates since leaving ebay.

Anyway, as far as I am concerned, selling coupons on eBay is dead -- the best buyers and sellers have moved on.
For now, the trading and RAOK threads are good enough for me for coupons.
eBay ID will be used for buying again until I find some small profitable side business again, gone through 3 lines of business so far...

sad thing is some buyers zero in on newbie sellers claiming not to receive so they could get their money back.
