|tru335||Yes, it can - at 4ohm stable. However, I bought two subs, so I'm running each sub on a separate channel in the configuration I described above.|

|tru335||The more the RMS rating of the amp is above the RMS rating of the sub (or any type of speaker), the greater the chance of the sub suffering from premature failure. Even more so if you like playing you music loud.|

I'm on a tight budget (and would usually go for a Pioneer or Alpine), so I'm looking at this Boss amp for the two subs I just bought: http://amzn.com/B0032FOKU6
Make sure to get an amp that has an RMS rating (in Watts) that's close to, but not over the RMS rating of the sub. You have to take into account the impedance of the speaker and amp when doing this. This sub has two coils and each individual coil has an impedance of 4 ohms. Connecting them in series will get you 8 ohms, and parallel will be 2 ohms.

|voltage11||Can anyone recommend an amp that would pair well with this subwoofer, If I want to power only a single sub?|

Hey, how does this speaker compare to the kicker on amazon for 60? Im thinking about going with this since its half the price!
Also is the 2-year Geek squad warranty worth it for 8 bucks?
