However, shipping makes it $40, while still OK, I wonder if it will get any cheaper. I highly doubt it, and honestly for this type of games it seems to be pretty much worth it.
I guess I will just go ahead and order it. Is this commonly going down to this price?

Damn it, I'm suppose to save money for the rest of the year, but I just preordered MK8, plus Mario & Luigi Wii Remote Plus. Curse you slickdeals, cure you to hell! Ugh...
Now, if MK8, Mario 3D World and Bayonetta 2 are just around the corner, I would wait for a Target Buy 2 get 1 free deal. But since only Mario 3D World is coming soon, while the other 2 won't be out until next year, I decided to bite on the preorder of MK8 and jump on Mario 3D World when it comes out. The extra 2 Wii Remotes will allow me to have 4 players in Mario 3D World as well as Pikimin 3 and Wonderful 101, and MK8 when it comes out. OMG, I'm so happy. /bipolar

Let's see, $5 off a $40 game coming out this fall. $35 for a wii remote in 2013. And $10 off a $60 game that might be coming out in 7-8 months? And front page? Must be a slow deals day.
Not to say I didn't pre-order MK8.

|DominicD||If you really want it on release date, just buy it at your local store and return the still sealed NewEgg copy of the same identical game back to the B&M store where you bought it for a refund. Probably not worth the extra hassle for most, but its an option if you want the lowest price and get it on release date.|

One thing people should note is that the free shipping option is "Egg Saver". Egg Saver is one of those DHL-to-USPS services that minimizes cost of transit at the expense of time, so when they say "4-7 business days", you should figure that's how long it will actually take.
Moreover, my experience with Newegg pre-orders is that they do not ship the game before release date. So if your game is released on a Sunday, as many Nintendo titles are, it won't be shipped until Monday, and then due to Egg Saver shipping you might not receive the game until a week after that.
Most of the time, waiting that long after release not such a big deal, but for many people who anticipate a game so highly that they pre-order it months in advance, it is.
