|ljl122||I'm having problems with the screen. Usually all black, but as I'm closing (or opening) the "clamshell," the screen every now and then functions properly, but it doesn't stay working. Very disappointed.|

|phxchmdu||Mine was not powering on all of a sudden. The adapter was showing the power supply, but no indication of charging. I called Dell Tech Support and they sent new mother board and adapter to the local technician. The local technician came to my place and replaced the parts and it's working fine now. Good that this was done for free of charge.|

My touchpad and mouse also gives me problems. First the mouse would automatically disappear and then the touchpad would not work. I deleted the mouse/touchpad driver and re-installed but still does not work.
Called Customer Service and they told me to go authorized Microsoft store (Best Buy, Staples, etc) and leave my laptop 5-7 days and pay $250 to repair it. Or get them to connect my via internet onto my laptop for 4-8 hours for $150. Ofcourse I said no.
Next plan is to take it into a Microsoft store and see if they can fix it. Have only had it open for one week.

I escalated to their customer support by calling them up. It was taken up by their 3rd line escalation team. Finally after more than 3 weeks, they've agreed to offer it to me at the same black friday price, though it shows out of stock now & is at a higher price.

Got mine a week back.
But started to see my touch pad is not working fine. Cursor is moving on its own even when i am not touching. It is not going to right position where i want it to go.
Any one have similar issues? With whom should i talk now. Dell or Microsoft ?

Then when I re-ordered on Sat AM as their representative instructed they charged me $499 and never offered a discount after multiple escalations.

Sending PC back. Not the worst customer experience ever, but it ranked right up there.
Started with the website being down, proceeded to being forced to call in to complete a transaction they had no record of, and then after explaining to 8+ representatives, waiting 16+ day for multiple fruitless 'escalations', and 10+ hours on the phone I finally caved.
If their site works and gets you your goods in working order all can be well. If not, get in line over at reseller ratings where they rank in with a .01 out of 10. http://www.resellerrat
So now I wonder what are my chances of getting the backordered Kingston SSD from them....

That was bugging me about the Rapid blah blah not enabled message. I love mine either way with the 16GB.

Did anyone else get the same problem?
Laptop powers on but screen is black and there is the infamous four beeps.
I checked online and found out this was a memory issue and to pull out the RAM cards, clean, and replace.
When I did that, still the same problem. After multiple combinations, laptop now works but only with a card in a specific slots.
Any tips? I guess this would be the time to upgrade RAM unless the slot has a problem?
