|gjllopez||Got my tv on the 9th. To my surprise the guy just turned around and left as soon as the tv touched floor. Luckily the tv was in great condition. The roughest part was setting up bymyself, was really scared I'd warp it if I picked it up, luckily besides a small amount of lightbleed everything is great, for $979 I'm very happy.|

|ozzyadu||After multiple reschedule, the TV finally arrived in good shape. The delivery guy was really nice. He helped me to take it out of the package and test it. The remote was smashed up for some reason, definitely not because of the delivery service, it was probably damaged before packing it in. called LG and they said that they will be sending a free replacement. TV is really good. Shocked to discover that it has less features than its non google counterpart (55LA7400) like no DLNA, ability to read mpo files etc etc. bought the Sony bdp bx510 to make up for the missing features. Sorry for you paroxysm8, it's good that you were able to check and refuse the shipment, else you would have ended up paying for shipping it back.|

AIT finally delivered the TV today and the box looked like it had been through hell and back. The delivery man tried to talk me into not turning it on until it was at room temperature...yeah right. So I go to turn it on and the bottom of the LCD was clearly damaged with splinters going across the entire display with massive white bars down the middle. I refused the shipment. I'm going to guess that I'm screwed since it was an ebay deal and will likely just receive a reimbursement.
To say I'm livid at this point would be an understatement.

Got the TV today. Delivery guy was pretty cool and patient about it and helped me unpack and waited for me to power up the TV to make sure I was happy.
Now for impressions...I'm coming from a 7 year old 720P Samsung plasma connected to an HTPC with Windows media center
- TV is absolutely beautiful. Really great design
- Picture quality is very good. Haven't tweaked it though
- Magic remote will take some time to get used too and I used to have a Logitech air mouse for my HTPC
- Google TV is a bit meh so far but I've only used for a couple of hours. I miss my Windows Chrome extensions (adblock, Hola! unblocker) that made Netflix and Youtube easier to use.
- Google TV does not have a builtin TV guide for if using an HD antenna? WTF? Really miss this coming from WMC
- Cannot install Windoes streaming apps. Not really a minus as this was a known limitations
Overall the TV is great, but if you already have an HTPC with WMC I'm not sure you will gain a lot of new functionality.Although, I might discover new things as I've only had the TV for a few hours
