If you recently switched your millenicom account to T-mobile account to take advantage of the 1GB data deal (totally 1.2GB/month), you'd better take a look at your t-mobile account.
I just noticed I was charged $200(one time) migration fee. Called CSR to have it removed, but I guess you have to make the call to make it happen.

|Chalupa2||I have an AT&T mobile share 10GB plan, so I called in yesterday to add this iPad for $10/mo. Since I use my work discount, they waived the activation fee. The SIM of course didn't fit AT&T's format, but they offered to send me one (also free) and since they said I was a good customer it was overnighted for delivery today. Also, a current promotion gives me a $100 statement credit for adding a line once this is live for 45 days, so it works out to about 10 months free use for adding this to my shared plan. Hope this helps someone like me who doesn't have a t-mobile voice account and wants more than 200MB/month.|

|Knighthawke||On an related note..was very happy (and surprised) to hear that, on my AT&T plan , when I switched to their mobile share plan this month to save money, they now include FREE tethering/hotspot! So when I'm over the 200mb, I can switch to using my iphone for wifi!|

Just got off the phone, 1.2GB is available to me instantly.
Here is my story. We have to give Millenicom the credit.
1. The 855 number was taking too long to wait the other day so I called 611 on my phone (I am with T-mobile for years)
2. When my voice plan was verified I was asked to give the number on the sim card, so I gave them the 200MB prepaid one, hoping 1GB was going to be added on top of the 200MB
3. Once the CSR realized that the sim is prepaid, I was transferred to prepaid dept.
4. Prepaid has no tie with existing account so no deal on the 1GB data.
Maybe I should use the sim from Millenicom but I did not try.
So I went to a local dealer/agent store, trying to get the same thing
I am eligible to get the1GB at zero cost this year, but I have to pay $20 for the new SIM (have to buy a new one). I gave it up. $20 for 1GB that is going to end by next Jan? No deal for slickdealer
Fortunately the 855 line is not busy at all today. I got a guy instantly, toke about 20-30 min to transfer the number from Millenicom to my account with T-mobile (the data account was deactivated by Millenicom), I immediately have download speed of 30mb/sec at home (socal)
So 1.2GB free data is only available through Millenicom (well, they gave us the business line, maybe anyone can get it once they know the number)
One thing worth mentioning: I talked with the guy while he is working on the transfer. He said after the 1.2GB, there is throttled, 2g/3g (depending on where you are) data connection, unlimited, world wide.
I hope someone can verify / confirm that.

Hello just got off the phone with Tmoblie rep. Just to confirm the situation for everyone.
The 1.2 GB monthly for 2014 is free if you are signed up for a T-mobile post paid voice line or if you have your own business. Otherwise, it's $10 monthly. Or they will activate your 200 MB free monthly again over the phone. It could take up to 48 hours to activate.
Overall, I'm still happy with my iPad Mini Retina with cellular deal. The $299 was a great price even without any data. The free data was just a bonus and it was delivered. When I purchased the deal, only 200 MB per month was promised starting in April anyway.
The only inconvenience was waiting for 30 minutes on hold and having my cellular down for few days. Millenicom could have been more clear in their communications regarding this issue. They really should improve their communications with customers.

ummm i got a completely different response...
called. guy picked right up. told him about millenicom offer. no promo code asked for. he said its $20 a month for 1.2gb....minus $10 promotional credit...then minus $10 more if i have a tmobile voice plan.
then he tried to get me to switch.
edit: called back. this time just said i had a promo code. he asked if i was a millenicom customer first. he apologized for the emails send with wrong info. restated that you need a voice plan for the 1gb. signed my sim up for 200mb without issue
