Went to sears to pick it up, box had been resealed where they had taped over the torn paper on the lid from the original tape being teared off. I asked if they could give me a brand new unopened one, they didnt have anymore so i got a refund.
Ended up costing me gas money to drive there for an opened item they were trying to push on me as new, maybe it was new maybe it wasn't. I wasn't gonna buy used food cookware.

Also, check out this blog:
Search for the Buffalo Chicken Lasagna. It's fantastic, but a little complicated to make. Best to try it on a weekend. Also, the author goes out of her way to fancy it up with specific colored peppers and whole-milk cheese and low-gluten noodles and other hippie stuff.... it's a crock pot, the flavors will all meld together, you don't really need to go down to Trader Joe's to get your overpriced ingredients - unless you have an allergy or a specific dietary requirement, just use generic ingredients and it'll taste just as good.

For some simple recipes, check out the Slow Cooker section at allrecipes.com:
From that site I have made the Lasagna, Carnitas, Cheesesteaks (meh), and of course the Slow Cooker Pot Roast. The best thing about a slow cooker is that raw meat goes in and fully-cooked meat comes out.
Here's one of my favorites:
1 Medium Onion, cut into large chunks
1-2 lb beef (a roast or even round steak works, don't go crazy expensive here)
1 C Mushrooms, sliced
1 packet dry onion soup mix
1 BIG can of Cream of Mushroom soup (or 2 regular cans plus 1/2 can water)
Spray the crock with non-stick spray then add the onions. The beef goes on top of the onions (the onions form a small gap that the soup can slide into - keeps the beef from sticking an helps meld the flavors). Add the mushrooms and dry soup mix, and pour soup over everything. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Stir well. Serve over rice or noodles.
It will be a little soupy when it finishes cooking. When I make this, I use my rice cooker - 1 C dry rice plus 2 C water - and have it on a timer so the rice is ready when I get home. I stir the cooked rice directly into the crock, leave the lid off, and let it sit for 20 minutes. Even cooked, the rice absorbs a lot of the excess liquid and thickens everything up nicely.
You can also make a chicken equivalent-- onion, 1 lb boneless chicken meat, assorted vegetables (beans, corn, tomatoes, jalapenos, whatever) with cream of "anything" over the top (cream of celery or chicken work best). Cook, stir, serve w/rice or noodles. Yum.

Can be a rice cooker if you measure rice and water precisely and come back and shut it off after the calculated time.
