Wow, I have not been able to follow this thread this past week & I am jealous of seeing the cancellation gifts :)

Loreal doesn't pay for any study.But they do send awesome gift packages filled with cosmetics depending upon how long the study was.....

Logged in and had a survey to qualify for an upcoming study!! And I actually qualified! For some reason I NEVER get emails from them. Always have to log in to see if I have any surveys.

Aqualia Thermal serum by Vichy labs, same as everyone else.

It's just a pleasure to recieve these gifts from L'Oreal and beneficial to them as well since I end up buying most of them myself. If it weren't for the gifts, who knows if I would ever even have to thought to buy them.

no the mascara study that just ended this past sunday

I think it will take some time..as they have to receive the used product and then they'll send the compensation.

Yeah..I tested 2 mascaras for 2 weeks and was supposed to send the products back.

I never knew they requested you to send products back as any of the few studies I have been in so far, you did not need to send them back.

I know..this was the first time they asked us to return mascaras ..they actually sent a self-addresed envelope with the products so that we could send the products back and the letter clearly stated ...once they receive the products...they will send the compensation.

I got 2 days ago a gift for 2 mascaras PT-its LA ROCHE - POSAY TOLERIANE purifyng foaming cream.So its not really big gift.

The shorter PTs don't usually yield a great gift. I did a 2-week acne pad study and received Loreal Go-360' Clean as my compensation. However, the gifts for the two-month PTs seem to be amazing. :)

I think people are thinking "tester" means it could be used or something, which is not the case. So I think that's where everyone's disappointment is coming from. Not that they are being ungrateful.

not pi$$ed,just worried about sanitation. only the 2nd i have ever rec from them. the first "tester" was a tube so no worries there.

I frankly wish they weren't tester products either—it just seem like if we are completing all the surveys we should get a retail product in exchange for that. Sometimes you may want to pass it along to someone else as a gift also,—but you can't do that if it's marked "tester."

you can... the cream i just got says tester so tiny on the bottom its not noticeable unless you point it out. i know on the cleanser i got before it was pretty noticeable.

Well it probably says TESTER so you wouldn't be able to exchange it or give it to anyone else, since it is supposed to be for you. Its not like they're sending you a previously used product, just my opinion. But there is also no need to down others for stating their opinion, I'm sure not everyone agrees with other people a lot of the times, just refer to "If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all!" IT WORKS!!!

Personally I think they mark our gifts as a Tester so that they cannot be returned to a retail store. As fay as being able to give them away - I one got a face mask that was just not something I would use... I gave it to a girlfriend and she loved it. If you tell the person how you got it they wont care that it says tester. Unless you are trying to pass it off as a real gift.

Has anyone received any new study invitations lately? I am currently in the 11 week lip balm test so perhaps that may be why I have not received any new study invitations recently only informational surveys from them.

im thinking that if yoiu are doing a product test you wont be emailed or chosen to be in another at the same time.

it sort of sucks. i've only been chosen to do one product test :( . it was a Loreal moisturizer. i could tell by the packaging, even though they tapes up the outside. they always seem to do PTs for items i dont use, like cosmetics. i only use lipgloss or lip balms. i was hoping to get in on the lip balm one but didnt :(

i wonder if they'll do a hair care one soon :unsure:

Glad to hear I'm not the only 1 not receiving anything. I was actually thinking about writing them to see if I had somehow been removed from the panel-just seemed odd to not see anything when I log in and I've been trying to check everyday so I wouldn't miss anything again.

completely agree and we're their CONSUMER TESTING PANEL.. why wouldn't we receive testers?? even the thank you gifts sometimes ask for feedback, at least mine did..

Lip Balm testers question
 

For those of you doing the lip balm test, please refresh my memory. I didn't see anything on the sheet they gave us about this & want to make sure I do it right. Are we supposed to be using the lip balm so many certain times a day no matter what? If we don't like the one we have for a certain week do we have to keep reapplying it over and over? The ones I have liked I have used several times a day like I normally would... but a couple of them I have really not liked. Thanks.:)

I dont think there is a rule about how many times a day you have to apply it.I think they just want you to give it a fair chance and try it more than once.

i don't think there's a rule for the number of applications a day either. but i know what u mean about not liking some. one of them was so nasty and gave the worst taste in my mouth when i applied it. ugh. lol.
