List of survey sites and focus groups link

I am not sure why this link was over in Deal Talk thread. It is a great list of focus group sites and survey sites in alphabetical order. It has been archived here on slickdeals. The OP put a lot of work into it. She has passed away this month. I know there is another list on the surveys section by another poster, but I think this one has more on it. I wish a mod could sticky this link over here as it would be very useful. Here is link.

Thank you Stupified for the wonderful suggestion! Our very own Mr SD and Redsolar created the wiki that you now see in this thread of the archieved thread, and I have *stickied* it in this forum as a resource. Enjoy, everyone!!

Wow what a list and am I glad I stumbled upon this thread.

Can anybody speak to their experience with either of these sites?

http://www.Epinions.com

A few individuals in the cube next to me at work mentioned these as paying sites. Do you have to have a PayPal account for Epinions.com?

Thanks for the help and again the wonderful list of links.

MaicoWin 10-05-2009 05:56 AM

I remember some of the names from doing paid surveys almost half a decade ago, so are all the links listed in the Wiki paid focus groups and survey sites?

killbarney 10-05-2009 08:39 PM

Is ECN reputable? Some of the "offers" sound so much like scams.

mamegoma 10-07-2009 03:43 PM

There's a bunch over here too.

http://two-ribbons.blogspot.com/

I didn't check to see if they're all on the list, so there are probably a couple of repeats.

Thanks to the OP on this and Chana who did indeed put A LOT of work into this list. It is incredible! She must have been a Mom or a teacher. Maybe both. Thanks for passing all of this along. Great stuff!

You can find signup links via google, but this panel kind of sucks. It's easy to rack up $30 to $40 a month in rewards, but it's not real cash. You can only trade it in for prizes that they claim are valued at that amount...and all of the prizes are CRAP. The only only GC available is for Borders Books and you can only cash in $15 to Borders each year, then you need to use the credit within a month of earning it. EVERY other incentive e-rewards offers is total crap.

E-rewards is not a favorite of mine, but my membership is thru Upromise and I have put $175.00 into my son's 529 plan so far this year. It is not all bad...

I'll need to research this. It may be a way to actually cash out of e-rewards for real money. Upromise is not *easy* to withdraw from, but you can do it at any time with written notice. If there's a way I can direct all of my e-rewards earnings to Upromise, I'll be a happy camper.

Upromise can be cashed out at any time and doesn't need to be used to college. They don't readily advertise this fact. It's a pain in the butt, because you need to send a written request to cash out, but you can do it at any time.

They termed my account for no reason, I emailed them and they claimed I had two accounts for the same address when that is impossible. I emailed them back and said my sister also has an account but at a completely different address, they never responded.

If you have been answering the applications/forms honestly and still not getting accepted... there really is nothing anyone can do to help you, you simply aren't part of the demographic they are currently seeking. Just keep answering honestly and applying to as many as you can, you will eventually meet the requirements for at least one company and get accepted. Do not lie when applying, that ruins it for everyone. Do not think of survey/focus group/BB rewards as "free" or "easy" money, continually participating takes mindfulness and effort. Good luck.

Wow long lists. lol Which one sites you use most time? I love getting product tests but don't know which best one.

HAPPYJACKGUM 07-09-2010 01:49 PM

I've have not used many of these. I just started down the list signing up myself. I sign up for everysite I find. Then when they start sending me crap or thing that don't pay very much or give me PT, then I just block the emails and have it sent straight to the spam folder.

KTmA 07-09-2010 01:51 PM

I've never once gotten accepted for anything from Centercode before. I'll be taking a better look at this tonight. TU for the big list, and glancing over it, I see some reputable ones.

HAPPYJACKGUM 07-09-2010 01:54 PM

this list is a little older list and there are a few new sites, so if anyone has site to add, then please do so. Remember these are site more towards product testing and less towards surveys and focus groups.

smidge1 07-09-2010 01:54 PM

i have gotten 1 centercode pt.

No, I haven't been able to get into the wiki :( Something appears to be wrong.I have notified our tech mods, and hopefully they will be able to have it fixed soon! Once they do, we will be able to make the changes.

Much of the sites only prefer residents from the US. The few ones which also cater to worldwide almost always do not send any survey.

I still see it referenced from time to time, so people must still use it. I did notice, however, that afew of the sites on the main page are no longer in existance (for example, MothersKnowBest) so I wonder how frequently things are being updated over there anymore....

What is LeadOpinion?
LeadOpinion is a fast growing online community of patients, their friends, relatives and carers who participate in online medical market research surveys. Panel members can opt to either donate their rewards to charity or to receive vouchers from major online retailers or high street stores.

Another good company for kids is http://www.kidzeyes.com/

As for Your2cents, speaking only from my personal experience, I gave up on them a long time ago. That is not to say they aren't legit, they very well could be. But I didn't like them, and stopped doing their surveys.

No such thing. It really depends on the person. As stated there are plenty of links to sign up and earn a little extra money. It can be trial and error for most. I would sign up with every site like I did and see what you can get. Some you will keep and others you will never go back to. The more you sign up with; the more opportunities you will get.

pinecone research

$3 per survey, paid out via PayPal and sometimes more for product testing. Pinecone is amazing.

I love Opinion Outposts. Get several surveys a day and can cash out at $20 for a check. Socratic Forum is also good--usually $3 a survey, can cash out at $5 for check.

Is Insight Express any good?

Nevermind...

Do I get compensated for taking surveys?
We currently do not offer incentives on every survey. Occasionally, an opportunity will arise where compensation for survey completion is offered. Email invitations will note if compensation if offered for a specific survey.

Cada Cabeza but for spanish people. Get a 20 dollar in 20 minutes just for filling your 10 profiles!
I cashed out 3 times within 5 months so they do actively send several surveys a month. Its not hard to cashout.

I think Iposos owns this. Surveys are pretty fun and short and only need like 5 dollars for american express gift-card or 10 dollars for a check. It may take sometime for 1000pts min because most surveys are 45pts-90pts and are more rare than some of popular ones.

B2B voice for IT's and consumers. Pretty good panel. I just did a $3 survey and $5 survey a week ago. Takes 1-2 weeks to credit your account or when survey closes. $25 min for check or paypal. Not hard to do at all.

Waw, it is so knid of you to collect them together. Thx

Have just started taking surveys. I seem to screen out a lot. If I keep going at this rate it will take forever to get the 1000 points.
I will keep trying though.

How do you get into viewpoint forum? I saw a blog from awhile back saying it's referral only and they shut down the referral program.

I just read their FAQ's, and this is what it says: How do I sign up for Viewpoint Forum?

We are no longer accepting registrations without a referral. You must be referred by an existing member or receive a special invitation from Viewpoint Forum or one of our affiliates.

A heads-up for those who have received The National Household Education Survey through the mail.

 This post is a heads-up for those who have received (or will receive) The National Household Education Survey through the mail.

Do Not Throw Out Before Opening...There is a brand new crisp $5.00 bill included in the survey envelope.

survey info:

The Department of Education wants to understand the condition of education in the United States. This survey is the only way that the Department of Education can learn about schooling and child care arrangements from your perspective.

How was your household chosen?

Your address was randomly selected from among all of the home addresses in the nation. It was selected using scientific sampling methods to represent other households in the U.S. The sample is designed so that interviews with only a few thousand people will accurately describe the educational experiences of almost all Americans. Some households will be selected to receive a second survey that asks more specific questions about the educational experience of children in the house.

Can I complete the survey on the web?

No web option is available for this survey. Please complete the form that was mailed to your address. If you have misplaced your form, call the U.S. Census Bureau toll-free at 1-888-840-8353 to request a replacement survey.

More information can be found at nces.ed.gov/nhes.

I just DNQed by accident and got 20 points (40 cents). That is pretty awesome compared to other survey companies.

Is anyone a member of research.fm? Got an e-mail from them on an account I haven't signed up to get surveys at. It has a rather large incentive to take the survey with them which makes me skeptical. Anyone know if they're legit?

Click on the link on the first page of the thread. There are lots of of them. Some notables are Opinion Outpost, Synovate, SurveySpot, I-Say, E-Poll, Harris Poll, Mindfield, Buzzback, Testspin, ZoomPanel. There are a lot though.

Dingobiscuit 04-02-2012 03:03 AM

I'm drawing a blank. What is the PTC website that is almost exactly like Inbox Dollars? I stopped getting e-mails from both and want to reactivate them. You get Gold status, etc. and cash out at $30.

Perhaps Inbox Dollars, or Fusion Cash?

thedealstoday25 04-02-2012 03:30 PM

Opion-Outpost/Surveyspot and Quick Rewards are the best way to go if your trying to make a extra buck. Problem with alot of these survey sites is they pay very little most of them and then you have to wait weeks to get creditted and paid. To get ur first 25 dollar cashout on Surveyhead ur expecting 2-3 months minium. Valued Opions take a month or up to 6 weeks to get credited.

how do I get in research.fm I have taken the 3rd party studies but never direct through them.

daytime 05-17-2012 06:49 PM

I think you only get in through third party studies at the moment. If you go to research.fm and try to sign up with your e-mail (well, this is what happened to me) - I get this message:

You can only setup an account if you have taken surveys for research.fm and not from a third-party survey company.

To see if you are setup in our system and to begin creating your account, please enter your email address below.

----

I'm not really sure what that means. How can you have taken surveys from research.fm if you can't sign up with them? I have only taken surveys with them through third-party sites.

How many gift card is that and how many surveys did you have to do to earn that much?

I am not aware of any current, legit companies that do this, but your post caught my eye. Here is a heads up about a scam going around for Red Bull advertising on cars. So...this is sort of a PSA about NOT signing up for this one! :)

each survey co is different; depends on how u fit what they r looking for. pick a survey co & hit join, then answer their questions. They each determine what group of peeps( "demographics" ) they want to choose and will then send u instructions. b sure to use a valid email, and check your spam folder
hope that helps

Has anyone heard of or used "Lumi Surveys" App. I was sent 2 text messages today for this app with a user id. I dont remember contacting them so perhaps this was a third party type thing. The reviews are limited on the itunes store and I cant find any other online reviews.

Nice! I won an iPod Touch from them in 2010. They sent it promptly once I filled out the claim form and sent them a photo and quote (I'm still on their Winners page).
