confirmed-cheap secret and tampax at albies! HOT
ok, I tested the waters last night, I bought 8 tampax pearls and 3.99 each=31.98, used 2.00 coupons, brought it down to 13.98 plus tax, I got the 15.00 cat for itunes and the 5.00 cat from buying 3 tampax:omg:
I also just bought 3 tampax at 3.99=11.97-6.00-5.97, got a 5.00 cat so .97 plus tax for 3 tampax pearls:omg: then I zoomed down the deodorant aisle and picked up 3 secrets that were in the ad-2.49x 3=7.47-1.50 for the .50 off manf coupons=5.97-then got a 5.00 cat:woot: with doublers sunday--the secret becomes a slight money maker 7.47-1.50-1.50=4.47=tax then a 5.00 cat...... **note the tampax is not the one in the ad.....but they were on sale and produced both cats, pantene worked but did not produce the cat, I was gonna buy them for the 15.00 cost and the 15.00 itunes card back---but it looks like its only the items listed, secret, tampax, always and maybe one more product I can't remember:woot: |

Hey, everybody, if your WAGS has fruit to sell, I'd encourage you to use these as fillers whenever possible. Let's support this as much as we can - I'd rather pick up fruit I need rather than caramels I don't! I'm finding that apples and bananas are priced at about the same price as the grocery stores - maybe even cheaper. The Mukilteo WAGS had the tuscan watermelon for $1.50 today.

What’s anyone’s thoughts on Nabisco Honey Maid Grahams on the smore promo (instant $2) qualifying as part of the B10G$5?
|
No TVQ

Hey, anyone seen TMF Snapple forms in the stores this late or have spares they could send? Today's the last day to purchase for the rebate, BTW. I need six. Snapple are not accepting index cards this time around. I made my purchase a while back, but let it slip until now. Thanks a bunch!

Confirmed on Frugalliving NW which found info apparently from albies facebook page that doublers will only be found in papers and not given to the store....

Yep, it is on Albies FB. I am not surprised. After the EC show the store got hit harder then ever. I have mixed feelings about it. The shelves won't be cleared so fast so that's good but finding Sundays papers at the dollar store is going to be even harder now. |

Could someone please tell me where I can find the Seattle's Best single can latte to spend these free coupons on? The closest I have found are 4-packs at Target, but I have not been able to find the singles anywhere. Maybe I'm checking right stores but wrong parts of the store?

Got some cheap Gatorade at Albies. They are .50c after mix and match 10. Used $1/3 Gatorade peelies found at Safeway last week so they ended up costing .17c a piece. Also, Kraft mayo is 1.99, recent inserts had .75c coupons, making them $1.24. Sargento cheese slices are $3, .75c coupon on coupons.com makes them $2.25. Not awesome, but okay if you need it. Stopped by TOP and picked up the philly cream cheese for $1 each (up to 4) with the flyer coupon. Noticed the ad for the 8 pack of nestle drumsticks for 2.49 after buying 4, BUT of course, it was an ad mistake!!! |

Thank you all for the helpful replies re: Seattle's Best cans, will rep everyone in a moment. I double-checked the biggest Rite Aid in town and they don't seem to carry those (plenty of Starbucks, but no Seattle's B). I did find last 3 cans at one Safeway, and will keep checking there, as well as at the other locations suggested.
Meandressedup - I had a blast in New Orleans (Thanks for asking), didn't want to come back and am still feeling out of sync here. Dragged myself to RA and Safeway yesterday and did the Nature's Valley/ Fiber One deal at Albies and that was all my shopping this week (other than not managing to get printer paper at Target, since it was all gone), I just had no energy/inspiration for more, I guess I'm still in a post-trip-blues mode. I'll mail your Vitamin Water coupons on Tuesday or Wednesday. |

Haven't had much to contribute lately but have a few notes to share from my Freddy's trip this a.m. • Cottonelle bath tissue is $5.99 this week -- a buy price for me with .50¢ IPQs and a FM reward for $2 off paper goods soon to expire -- so naturally I got the following notification for an upcoming CAT offer (Wikified™): Quote:
• In addition to the 25¢ Crayolas (limit 4) and 100-page composition books (limit 4), 70-sheet spiral notebooks (limit 15) and filler paper (limit ??) are Price Blaster priced at .15¢ and .75¢ each, respectively. Unfortunately the 10% off Home items in-ad Q is not combineable with these deals (though my mum was delighted to discover that the 10% over 55 discount (good today only) does count.) • The Sunday ad Q for 10% off printer ink states: "excludes HP and clearance" but the goldenrod store Qs hanging next to the HP ink does not have this exclusion. I had my mum buy this on her on order making sure she had the checker take the senior discount off before scanning any Qs -- worked like a charm! We got 10% off the cartridge (and all other non-food items) before the 10% off ink and then a $2 HP MQ. My FM points balance is now in quadruple digits for the first time ever. No $10/$50 in today's FoodDay or This Week. I must have missed it last week. :( |

While I sleep off another round of painkillers, would you mind hunting down a couple free P and Gs for me and then pick up a few Crest at Rite Aid for me? I wake up to this phone call: Mom, I didn't understand how many Proctor and Gambles you wanted. Can I stop now? I have 165! |

Quick help question all...
i have $27.97 in Up+s that I have to either use or roll this week. Only get one shot to shop and most likely cant hit multiple stores this weekend. what should I get?? helllllp :) |
Quote:
1. Buy the 1 liter Crest MW, it is 4.99 with 4.50 SCR and $2 q from 6/5 PG, = 1.51 MM 2. The Tide Stain Release is $6 and you get $10 up wyb $30, $3 qs in 6/5 PG, split up your tranX and buy 5, using a survey Q if you got it. Total is $30- 15MQs- $10 up, = $5 for 5 - 18 ct bags. better if you have a surveyQ. 3. The colgate 360 toothbrush is 2.99 with 2 up limit 4. There is a $1 360 MQ in a green&blue pharmacy book that I found at FM last month. makes them free. there is also a .40 q from a recent insert.. 4. Crest tp is free after up with the PG 6/5 mq. Limit 2 5. Proglide razors are 9.97 with 5 up, $4 mq in the 6/5 PG. makes them .97 limit 2. Easy! :yummy: |
i called my FM to ask if they still give $25 for transferred prescriptions and she said no. :( I checked the website and didn't see anything about it :(

I asked for a referal form and they gave me a stack of name card of the store Mgr and on the back there is a stamp said: "Receive a $25GC when a friend refers you to your local SavOn pharmacy. I am a friend of ..................... * Your friend will get a $10 GC as well! " So check your local SavOn pharmacy to see if they have the same promo before you go fill your prescriptions. I am not sure if the person who fills the precription need to be new to SavOn or not. (no fine print to read ) |
Stopped at Safeway today and found the Seattles Best singles are $1 until 7/19 or so!!!! Only found two to use my $1/1 coupons I had found at TOP a couple months back. Free if you have these.
Shake and Bake are 2.09 for a few weeks. 15 oz Gold/Soft magarine is $1.29. Had a catalina coupon for $1/1. Buy 2, get a coupon for .75c off 2. $1/1 blinkie for Mariani fruit in front of display. Tropical Pineapple B1G1, so ended up being 1.79 for 2 bags . . . there were some other B1G1s, but mostly 2/$6. Got some 6 oz Blue Diamond Nuts for 1.99 with Safeway cpn and used recent insert for .60c off 2. Noticed some of the 8 oz Emerald canisters were 2.50. Peelie found sometime for 50c makes them $2. |
Just got back from Florida and wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy 4th! (and seriously... rain?? In July?!) :vomit:

I found a pretty good deal at Freddies, not free but def cheap for Dove Deodorants. They have yellow/orange Manu coupons for $2 off any Dove deo/anti persperant, and the cheapest ones I found were like the Classic Clean, Sensitive Skin and Fresh Scent which retail at $2.79 each. $0.79 each for dove isnt too bad...its not free with make $2 for every two like RA had earlier this year, but not a bad deal either. I believe the orange q's said good through the 16th, but I used the ones I had grabbed...
good luck everyone!! |

Tried the shelf price trick at Cully Albies today and did not get the iTunes GC:
4 Head & Shoulders @ 5.99 (reg 7.99) = 23.96 - 2 BOGO @ 5.99 - $5 Dreyers cat = 6.98 Still a good deal for the big bottles of poo. :) fyi, Cottonelle cat confirmed working at FM and Wags. |

I bought 3 Charmin today (shelfprice $10.49) and did NOT receive the $15 i-Tunes giftcard. This was in Olympia/Lacey and we do have the new registers for a while now.
Has anyone else still luck with this? I was so hoping for that giftcard for my son and nothing. I even waited around a little incase the cat just prints insanly slow. Machine was working cause the couple infront of me got cats printed out. Oh and I did try on the SCO but that should not have anything to do with it should it? |

who shops at safeway anymore? anyone?
Here is another reason not to. Starting next week, (GOOD rumor has it), Safeway will only be doubling ONE like coupon per transaction. Remember to visit your favorite safeway facebook page and give them "credit" for this new awesome rule. |
Quote:
|
Pretty much everything else aside, Safeway is still pretty good for me on getting overages on free coupons for items on sale, very high rate compared to other stores.
Can't believe I just got a Snapple rebate...I had given up on getting a second one. I think it's from the rebate period ending last Feb/Mar. |

Albies doublers are confirmed a go in the Oregonian PDX area this weekend.
|
At the Albies in Lynnwood today we found some cool stuff one clearance; Butterfinger snackerz packs for .25 (actually bought out the case of 22), lots of gum, some Skittles, Dark Brown Sugar for .69 on 1lb packs. Girlfriend found 12pk hair scruncies(sp?) for .69 and bought 3!
|
Don't forget that FM points quarter ends soon...the 23rd I think.
|
So the new Safeway doubler coupon has removed the Internet coupon restriction, so that's a plus. The Facebook reps have said they're going to get a hold of managers to explain "4 different products" is suppose to mean "4 products."
I guess I can see how explaining the restriction would be somewhat difficult in a clear, concise manner on the coupon...basically the whole 1 coupon per item, therefore 1 double per 1 coupon per 1 item up to 4 times. So who wants to be the first one to get a headache when trying to buy 4 boxes of the same cereal with 4 Internet coupons and trying to double them all? My guess is the coupon nazis will double deny you. |

Has anyone seen the cereal deal at albertsons this week?
Buy 4 general mills cereals for $10, and get both free milk (worth $4.50 off at the register) and a 2 dollar coupon! There is a coupon for $1.50 off 2 GM cereals, so if you printed the 2 you're allowed, the deal goes like this: $10 + $3.50 for milk - $4.50 - $3 = $6.00 for 4 boxes of cereal, a gallon of milk, and a $2 coupon. Seems sweet to me, honey nut cheerios for us all! |
i know i haven't been around in forever (i seem to have picked up an extra kid during the days...3 was fine but 4 really cuts into my couponing) but i have a quick question...
the free 4 pack frappucino q? what stores actually take free item printables anymore?? |
Quote:
I'm not sure, but I know I have used a free printable coupon at Albies in the past... |
Has anyone done the Classico deal at QFC yet? Is the cat printing $1 for every 4 or is it $1 for 4 or more?
I'll try it tonight if no one knows and report back. |

My mom started shopping Safeway when I was in junior high, and I've shopped them since I've been on my own. I've seen many iterations of doublers (and Super Doublers and Super Triplers) over the decades. Never have I seen such restrictive, anti-competitive, petty@$$, consumer unfriendly language as I've just seen on SW doublers today. That's pretty much the nail for me. At least it'll be an easy divorce: Trader Joe's and Frieddy's have gotten the bulk of grocery budget the past few months and frankly I'm happier with consistently better prices and predictable checkout experience than I've been getting lately with SW. Safeway
Quote:
Well, I try NOT to shop at Safeway. Every so often I give in (it is so close to my house!) After today I am reminded again, why I hate shopping there. So I brought my reusable cloth bag with me. Tell the cashier I do not need a plastic bag as I brought one as she is starting to ring things up. Put the cloth bag where they place the groceries. She finishes, I pay and then she pushes my groceries aside a bit and does not place my groceries into the cloth bag. Starts on the next person as I am still standing there in the check out aisle, bagging my own groceries. She sees this but makes no effort. Okayyyyyy! And no, customers do not bag their own, as a rule. No big deal to bag my own, but really? Plus I was in the way of the next person trying to pay and get her groceries. Customer service is NOT a strong point at this Safeway! The stories go on and on and on....... But to keep on deal topic. Safeway has Fresh Express salad bags, assorted styles on sale for $1. Can't remember where I got them from but I have internet printed $1 coupons. |
Quote:
I find the 'one per household per week' stuff on the doulber pretty stupid ... unless they're tying doublers to cards. Word? ETA: :lmao: SW is really on a roll: they're latest FB announcement is unfortunately titled "Safeway Fast and Furious Festival'. The comments are already heating up: Quote:

Albertsons Stockman & Dakota Q
FYI
$2 off Stockman & Dakota premium angus beef package, 1 lb or more(this is Albertsons store Q that was found on one of the booklet) expire Today 7/15/11. I believe the booklet came with $2 off 1 or 2lb Arctic Shores shrimp and this too expire Today. And I think it was $2 off for Hormal Party Tray as well. It might be another Q in the book but I am not sure. Since I only kept the Beef and Shrimp Q. Anyway, all have 7/15/11 date. PS. The Q say 1 coupon per transaction. HTH |

I continue to disagree with giving the credit to TLC, however. Publicity for couponing started way before that - TLC just picked up on the growing popularity of couponing stirred up by mommy bloggers who have brought hundreds of thousands of people on board, teaching them to coupon and providing easy match-ups to deals. It was and continues to be a neat niche for them - mommy bloggers earned money, new couponers were and are rightly ecstatic with the savings. However, grocery stores have to make a profit and this whole thing cuts into those profits dramatically; when hundreds of thousands of consumers realize that stockpiling makes more sense than random grocery shopping, the stores have to dramatically tighten coupon policies in order to bring those profits up again. |

the first time I had a milk coupon, the kid took the whole $4.50 off the total, but this time they only gave me the price of the milk off... but still not bad at all. $10 (cereal) + $3 (milk) - $3 coupons - $3 (milk coupon) - $2 (coupon) = $5 final price for 4 boxes of cereal and milk. woot! |
I did the Classico tonight at QFC. The $1 cat is printing for every 4 you buy, multiples per transaction.
So, here's the rundown. Classico Pasta Sauce is $1.49 each wyb 10 participating products. Receive a $1 cat for every 4 jars. There are $1/2 mqs in the 5/15 SS, or the $1/1 peelies are still valid. Buy 20 at $1.49= 29.80 Use 20 $1/1 peelies= $9.80 Pay $9.80 oop and get 5 $1 cats back. .24 each There are tons of things on the Save $5 wyb 10 product list, so just make sure to buy these items in groups of 10. Most notable is the Whisk for .99 after $2 mq, Pringles for .67 each after $1/3 mq. Both coupons were in the 6/26 RP, I believe. |

BTW- where have you been? Seems like forever since you posted in here. |

Does anyone know if WM takes Target Qs?
|
just talked to some peeps at albies, and the stores have to account for every double now. so what you bring, is what you use. they cant give it back to you, or let you use it again! :(

Am I correct that we did not get the $1/1 q for UP2U gum in the 6/5 SS? I'm sorry. My brain does not work. (It's $1 this week at Safeway.)

There's also a printable on the Classico [classico.com] website. I also got Whisker Lickin cat treats- they were .79 with the buy 10 sale and I found some with $1/2 peelies on them, bringing them to .29 each. |
does anyone know of a place or a coupon avail for using at home depot?? I'm in the market for paint. LOTS of paint, need about 7 gallons..all different colors and this will cost me WELL over 200 bucks..

Offer for any Olympia people (not just for this weekend but any with Albies doublers) - if you meet me any time after I get my inserts from Starbucks (so either downtown after 6 pm on Sunday, or at Albies in Lacey any time on Monday - I usually work all day on Tuesdays), I can bring doublers galore. As long as the papers have them, we should be OK here. :)

For the QFC mix and match, I've been enjoying the .75c rice a roni and pasta roni. Using the b3g1 peelie found a couple weeks ago at Safeway, my QFC gives me the whole $2. :look: Dollar for 4 boxes is pretty good .. .

I did the Honey Nut Cheerios deal today. They are 4 for $10, get a $2 OYNO and a free gallon of milk cat.
Well I got 2 $2 cats! One was the one that says "theres no limit to your savings". I think this is the one advertised in the ad. Then the other one was compliments of General Mills. And I also got the free milk cat which is good up to $4.50. I had $1/1 peelies but there are $1/2 printables that I had as well. No doubles here but it still worked out to less than I would have paid for the milk alone. |
I haven't been to Albies. Is there still negative tax?

Oh man, I wish I had Honey Nut q's, I love that stuff!!! So it's not just 1 per household per day?
|
Quote:
It shouldn't be limited per household at all. There is no such rule in the fine print of the doublers and there is no such rule under their coupon/TTV policy either. Since we have to supply ourselves from now on, they shouldn't be able to limit us. Afterall, we 'pay' for them when we have to 'buy' our newspapers, so therefore that wouldn't be right. The only limitation I have heard is 3 transactions back-to-back. Then you need to get out of line and start over. As for General Mills Qs, 6/19 SS had $1/2 many varieties 7/10 SS had $1/2 many varieties 7/17 SS had $1/2 Cheerios any variety and there are some printables .50/1 for honeynut as well. |

albies extra cat?
friend today bought 4 H.N. Cheerios, and 2 snackwells cereal bars ( in one transaction) and she got extra cats. She got the expected 2 $2.00 and free milk cats, the expected $1.00 cat for the snackwells and then got a $2.00 and $3.00 cat, ( we were using $1.00/1 peelies for the snackwells). Later, I bought the 2 snackwells cereal bars and 2 Ortega green chilis, paid $1.92 and got a $1.00 and a $3.00 cat. $3.00 cat from Nabisco says; buy snackwell cereal bars btwn 7/11 - 8/7, buy 1 get $1.00, buy 2 or more get $3.00. Did not do deal with cereal so not sure where that other $2.00 cat came from, and she has already rolled them into other deals so can't give more info than that. She did not notice if the extra $2.oo cat was a store cat or mfg cat. Anyone have any idea on the extra $2.00 cat?

Deal of the day at Freddies...not great but hey with 8 Kidlets we go through school supplies... well like we go through ramen! oh and I am a school supply snob, we Homeschool and so much time can be wasted sharpening a cheap pencil....drives me batty, only crayola washable and ticonderogo/mirado at my house.
Anyways~ sale this week buy a 24 pack colored pencil get a 16 pan water color for free found tear pad spend $5 on crayola get a free easy mac crayons .25 a box limit 4 12 ct colored pencils .99 limit 2 so.. Oh btw, 15yob figured this one out...makes a momma proud! 24 pack colored pencils 2.99 24 pack colored pencils 2.99 water color 16 pan 3.69 water color 16 pan 3.69 price blaster crayon 1.29 price blaster crayon 1.29 price blaster crayon 1.29 price blaster crayon 1.29 12 pack colored pencil 2.19 12 pack colored pencil 2.19 easy mac 1.15 easy mac 1.15 easy mac 1.15 all rang like this sales deducted after total was hit so then -1.04 -1.04 - 1.04 -1.04 -3.69 -2.99 ( took off this for the free water color....so maybe order of ringing matters? maybe no need for water colors if you only want pencils?) -1.20 - 1.20 -1.15 -1.15 -1.15 grand total 9.66 not bad four crayons for the shoeboxes at Christmas and enough colored pencils to last 1/2 a year! but no beeps thinking cause of the way they discounted, at the end, if you ran these you could get four macs, total pre discount is $20 , then scan your card. Or fluff your order with other stuff ;) |

I did bought 2 Crest TP that was marked $3/2.( I only saw one kind at the store 0 37000 32024 1) and bought with $0.75/1 any 4oz or more Q from PG and TVQ and got back $1 cat. And this TP may comes with $10 worth of coupons(that what it say on the box) and 4 Q's are printed inside the box. And I thought one Q might be interesting if there is some "small or trial sized" 3D White Whitestrips Professional effects out there. Since the Q is good for $7 on "any size" forementioned product. And good till 1/31/2013. Or maybe I can find the clearance before the Q expire? Since I had 1 more spot I bought 1 Chips Ahoy Red bagged "Gooey" kind since I had $1/1 TP. And after all 3 items rung up and TVQ and I paid a nickle and got back $1 cat. If I had time, I probably still buying them but oh well. |
Milk cat Q
I was looking the Free Milk cat Q from AL. And thought if any of you used at other store. So far, AFAIK the Fred and Walmart accept other store MQ.
I think I read somewhere that Fred doesn't give overage but I know Walmart does. And the cat end with "96" and 96 is $4.50. So I wonder if the register auto for $4.50 at Walmart. :greedy: Hummm:scratchh: If any of you try this , please let us know. Also I found the Q printed inside the Emeral Breakfast on the go. It is just like insert Q of $1.50/2 but it has ex date of 6/30/12;) But like what I said, they are printed on the inside box and I think it pretty much ruin the box if you cut it out. |

Along with Crayola crayons, I believe the comp books and 70-page spiral notebooks are still on Price Blaster -- in fact the spirals are down to 10¢ apiece now (from 15¢ last week). As the interval before school starts wanes, we should be seeing better deals at OD, OM and Staples. IIRC we got pencil boxes, folders, rulers and maybe other things for 1¢ last year. |
So on the Crest deal... a national cat is running were you buy $6 worth and get back $2. Anyone know if this "double dip" is going on at Albies with the more you buy event?
