T&T Trading Group is selling the Bose 3-2-1 GS Series II DVD surround system for $499 + $5 S&H (Tax for NY) Condition is listed as "Like New" So I'm guessing this is either open box, or refurb. At about half the next lowest price of $899 it's a great deal (Google shopping [google.com].

only thing worse than a new bose system is a like new bose system.
of note with bose, you do not get your money's worth. poor performance and crappy components means bose will be outperformed by an HTIB in the $200+ range

I remember when I was in high school, I saw a Bose infomercial like everyone else and thought to myself, they must be an awesome speaker company because of the prices they were charging. Many years later, I finally had the honor of listening to those tiny little speakers. My first impression was....WTF?

Bose reminds me of "white van speakers" except that they had finally duped the consumers to actually believing that they are a legit speaker company. IMHO, you can buy any decently priced computer speakers and do just as well as Bose.

Great company and a great price. Thumbs up.

Low end from all company's are junk. Best way to decided is to listen for yourself.

Listen to a set of 901s set up properly. Then post an opinion.

The only problem is that their "low end junk" is still way overpriced.

If Bose would spend a fraction what they spend on marketing on R&D maybe they could make a decent product, unfortunately they don't. Gotta give them this, they've got a helluva marketing team.
