Ugh yeah/ also dead.
Note: This item is currently not available. To be notified when it is available, click "Sign up" below. A++ if you got it though, highest radioactive food out there (not in a bad way, we're all slightly radioactive). (Brazil nuts contain small amounts of radium. Although the amount of radium, a radioactive element, is very small, about 1–7 pCi/g (40–260 Bq/kg), and most of it is not retained by the body, this is 1,000 times higher than in other foods.) pm me for more info. |
A great natural source of selenium, and hard to find! Thanks, in for one.

Anyone knows how many % of peanuts are there? If too many peanuts not worth it.

I bought hazzle nuts. I think it is the best tasting nuts. But I have to bake it myself. $13 something for 6 bag which is $3 something for a pond. Very good price.

Never try this thing b4...but "6-pack of 10oz $10" offer me a good chance to try once..

ummm, I would guess 0%, since these are brazil nuts and not peanuts (or mixed nuts)? |
If I eat this many nuts I won't go to the bathroom for a month

Actually, my family is of mixed race, which makes it all the more appalling. |

For those of you saying they're hard to find... Costco (at least in SoCal) carries Kirkland brand "Mixed Nuts" which includes Cashews, Walnuts, Almonds, Macadamia Nuts, and Brazil Nuts...
We get the mix, ourselves, just about every Costco trip .. but, typically, pick out the Brazil Nuts to feed to the local squirrels... as I think they rather taste like dirt half of the time, myself. There are about a couple dozen of them in each container. |
Trader Joe's sells them but not at this good price....Out of stock on Amazon

Thanks Michael Scott!! We were all thinking it. |
Funniee, from wikipedia...
"Also due to their high polyunsaturated fat content, primarily omega-6, shelled Brazil nuts soon become rancid." :look: |
Perfect for Slap Chop action.

From a brazil nut website. I think I will freeze five of the bags right away.
Shelled Brazil nuts should go in an air tight container and can last up to 6 months in the refrigerator. The best way to store Brazil nuts, if you buy large quantities at once, is to put them in sealable bags and freeze them. This will prevent them from going rancid. A girlfriend got significant change in her bone density taking a strontium supplement. The brazil nuts are cheaper! http://www.osteoporosis-vitamins....rosis.htmlhttp://www.osteoporosis-vitamins....rosis.html |

WTF?!? Who decides on the Front Page Deals?!?
A good deal sure...if you like B-nuts :vomit: |
I lived most of my life in NY (but moved to the deep south, a few years ago), and always just knew these as Brazil nuts. After reading this thread, I asked my husband--a southern boy--about what you guys were talking about. He told me. Maybe it was a southern thing :(
