This is the lowest price I've seen on the Kuhler 620. Its a great alternative to the Corsair H50/H60/H70 series. Its all made by the same company (Asetek), this is just their 3rd and latest generation. Lower noise / better water pump / better coldplate than the H50. The 920 is double the price, but nowhere near double the cooling performance. You can always mod the 620 with a Push/Pull setup for even more performance :)

good deal! H60 is a bit better than the Kuhler 620 but not worth the +$15 price tag over this. one big advantage is antec has 3yr warranty and corsair has 2yr but both have great warranty service. (they'll both pay for any damages it causes in case it leaks) rubber hoses are also a plus on the kuhler.

I was about to buy this but figured I'd throw in a bid on ebay first, and won a H60 for $52.51 new in box :cool: :D I intend on modding it with 1/4" tubing and a bigger radiator eventually, so that was the selling point on me for the H60 since the Kuhler uses slightly smaller non-standard tubing I believe. (Asetek says it's smaller but doesn't say the exact size)

Anyway, H50/Kuhler/H60 are all very close in performance, with the Kuhler 920 and H70 slightly ahead but not worth 2x the price tax since they certainly don't offer 2x the performance. better off modding a cheaper one with a bigger rad :cool:

Does that huge noctura HSF still outperform the water setups while being significantly quieter?

Looks like air cooling is still better than these low end water setups.

meh i have the corsair h70 that thing is loud i rather get the noctua one

yup air cooling > these even h70 or the antec 920 xept for when you do 100% stress test even then, the temp diffs arent worth 80 bucks price diff.

idle and regular cpu usage, air cooling keeps it cooler

Where is the pump located at? Don't you need a pump for water cooling?

Since it's a small system you don't need such a huge pump. It's integrated on the block for the CPU. These things are great if you have small space.

I just received one of these.

The temps are good. But my pump is making a ticking/clicking noise. Its only been 2 days but I hope it goes away. Its rather loud, the ticking noise.

I like the quality of the unit other than that though. Long time liquid cooling nut as well. Just wanted something simple this time.

I like the rubber hoses this unit has.
The H50 is super quiet which was my primary driver for buying one of these setups.
I'm tempted to get this unit for my other desktop however I just cant justify $50 more for cooling on a system i barely use (but would like to muffle just a bit)

all of these threads always turn into water vs air. bottom line is these save space and can make your case less cluttered inside for better aesthetics and/or better airflow. yes there are better air coolers, but not everyone wants a gigantic metal monstrosity hanging off their CPU. the major limiting factor of these is the tiny radiator though. you're still only dissipating as much heat as the radiator can handle.

and on another note, I had 4.8GHz stable on my sandy bridge with a H50 with temps around 72c load (push/pull), I'd imagine this kuhler or a H60 would do better, maybe 65-68'ish but that's just a guesstimate.
