Yup, saw it this morning on my sister's kindle. The only reason why I got her the Kindle with special offers is because of these neat deals.

The way things have worked in the past for me is, anything you find using the link from amazon counts for the $10 off, which from the looks of my general browsing is more than just games

By the way, there doesn't appear to be a minimum purchase of $10. For example, if I add Bioshock 2 PS3 to my cart (currently $9.98), I get a promotional discount of -$9.98, so effectively a free game if you have Prime.

I feel like I'm being punished for paying full price for the kindle when I could have saved money on the kindle then saved more money though these offers.

No they won't all be using their codes but most are too lazy to even locate this thread let alone find the energy to PM them away.

I have luckily run into 1 person, but that was rare.

The rest who are on SD realize they have value and will only trade them to people for older special offers that they liked (that's me) (I really want more camping offers, I used mine but there is more I want)

It would appear that the game also needs to be sold by Amazon.com. It didn't work with a marketplace seller for me (HubbaGames or BigGameVendor), even though the orders were fulfilled by Amazon. That seems to mesh with the other promotional video game credits I've received in the past, so not a huge surprise (but it doesn't expressly say it in the e-mail).

Either way, my wife's birthday present (got her the Kindle with Special Offers just last week) is already starting to pay off. ;)

In all the terms and conditions that I have seen only items expressly sold by amazon may be allowed the discount. I have found that anything that is sold by someone else, even if fulfilled by amazon, never works.

Yeah, but this was the first time I've never seen it expressly stated in the e-mail with the code itself (you basically have to click on the terms and conditions link and then find it buried in the list there). Just thought I'd mention it...

you're asking people if go to SD to look up the forum thread and find someone asking for a code and PM them a code? If they don't do this they aren't lazy, they are being normal... if they do this they are being extremely generous with their time

If you have Kindle with Special Offers, just go to the home screen, push 'menu' and then go to 'view special offers.' You will then be able to see all the available special offers. They run new ones every 4-7 days. If you see one you like, key down to it, select the offer and select 'email me this offer.' The offer details will then be emailed to your email addy registered with your kindle. HTH & enjoy!
