Panasonic Cordless with Link to Cell Bluetooth (4 Handsets) - Costco B&M and Online - $79.99

65535 Attachment(s)
The coupon booklet for Costco for 7/14 thru 8/7 contains the Panasonic KX-TG7624SK cordless with 4 handsets.

This phone supports a Link to Cell (Bluetooth) feature, which allows to link upto 2 cellular phones to the same cordless base.

For someone like me who works from home, this makes a big difference as I can use my home phone for answering calls coming to my cell. I can also call from my cordless handset and pick which cellular to use for dial-out.

You can also do a phone book import from your cellular device. I bought the 2 handset model for $99 about 6 weeks ago from Target. Hope this helps a few of you out there.

The caveat is you need a Costco membership to avail this price. It is available B&M and online as well.

Amazon has this for $118 (sold by 3rd party)

I have a question, What happens when you are taking a cell phone call through this hand set, and at the same time if a call comes to your land line number?
..

Just like any phone with call waiting feature, you will see the phone blink (& a low beep). If you have caller id you will also see the name and number of the caller. You can press Flash to answer the other call while placing the first call on hold.

Is this dual voltage 110/220V please?

picasa99 07-06-2011 07:18 AM

It does not have 220. But the biggest problem I found was that the caller id did not work international location like India as they had a different system

No - the phone adaptor only supports 110/120V input. You can always buy an adaptor that suits the country. As long as the output matches, it should work fine.

The phone is only available from July 14th!

I had taken a Panasonic phone to India before and the caller id did work. However, you are right. The phone hardware is often not compatible with the Indian phone system and most of the phones I have taken havent lasted beyond a year.

Nice find, thanks ! I will certainly try it.

As a side note. We have an existing Panasonic set w/o Bluetooth and enjoyed it for a few years. I recently purchased AT&T cordless set w/Bluetooth (model TL92420) from Costco - it's a real pain. Lack of features, unintuitive buttons, MIDI-based melodies from the old century, holders cannot be attached to the wall. Will exchange it for Panasonic without any doubts.

Thank you for the responses @ kingfisher1 and srikp.

What would be the real advantages of linking your cell phone to the handset? Your cell phone minutes would still be used, if you receive a call and pick the phone on ur Cordless handset.

Just trying to figure out - the real use of it. Am I missing something ?

atrocitythug 07-07-2011 09:22 AM

Paid $45AR/AC for a set of 3 and a glass desk @ staples like 6 months back.

Don't think an extra $40 is worth another handset, maybe a little newer model and no free desk lol.

cwing 07-07-2011 09:24 AM

Panasonic in my experience makes the best cordless handsets.

kam1628 07-08-2011 01:44 PM

I had a question. if I don't had a landline. will the phone still work on bluetooth that link to mobile phone?

Yes - you could use the phone without a landline.

Just like that was a deal 6 months ago, this is a deal now. The going price for the phone is over $110 cheapest.

You are right - cell phone minutes are still being used. The phone just works like a bluetooth headset. You have the advantage of picking up the call from any of the 4 handsets and you have the advantage of using a much more louder speaker phone. Just a couple to think of.

For someone like me that works from home and uses the cell phone a lot, I find this a real handy phone.

You definitely have no clue what a true SD is then lol.

So you are suggesting that anyone who missed on the deal 6 months ago should not buy this phone.

Spare us the threadcrapping. He didn't say it was a SD, but it's still a good deal. I happen to be looking for a home phone set, and this is exactly what I need/want (as I was looking for a bluetooth wireless home phone set). Congrats on your previous SD, but some of us could personally give two shits. I'd much rather get a decent deal at $80 than sit around holding my wang for a few months to save a few lousy bucks. Congrats to you, but that deal is over. I was going to buy the same set for >$100, but I'm willing to wait a few days to save a few bucks. Thanks OP!

Then he should of posted it on gooddeals.com

I was voicing my opinion and my past deal.

I wasn't thread crapping but merely letting others see what past deals were and judge for themselves if they should get it or now.

"I was going to buy the same set for >$100, but I'm willing to wait a few days to save a few bucks."

If your willing to wait why would you buy this instead of waiting for a SD?

Overall this is slickdeals.net.

If you want to pay retail have fun feeding the cash cows.

Us others rather get shit cheap to save money in this recession.

Me paying $45 versus $90 after tax and gas which is double the price is not a SD.

Freakn Newbies!

The deal you mentioning had a lot of dependencies. Staples rebate and coupon. All said that was still $55 plus taxes for 2 handset model. This is $25 extra for 2 extra handsets which justifies the addl cost!!!

Can't find it.

It was back in 10/10.

But i attached a ss of my order.

$82.02 - $30 Rebate = $50.

guidosam 07-10-2011 11:16 PM

Looks like you got a good deal at Staples, but the OP's deal at Costco has bluetooth capabilities (links to cell phone). The one you've listed doesn't. The bluetooth capable ones are going to cost a little more.

Excellent point. Now the TG9333T is only 59.89 without any rebates. I am going to buy the Costco version. Thanks.

LOL. And the threadcrapper isn't even comparing a comparable model?! :lmao: There are plenty of deals on the cheaper non-bluetooth models..

What a retard.. and talking about a deal from 10/10? That's practically a whole year ago! If you got a good deal, again, congrats, great. But, some of us value our time a little more than waiting around for 6+months just to save another $20 at most. Again, thanks OP!

What you don't understand is people don't give two shits about your opinion. Getting a "deal" that's >6 months old is barely comparable these days. Also, it wasn't even a comparable model (as someone else pointed out). That's what makes your post look even dumber. The plain old DECT 6.0 phones are on sale all the time, but anyone w/ a clue knows bluetooth carries a price premium.

Perhaps you misunderstood my post (big surprise), but I'm willing to wait a week, not an entire year (which you seem to be suggesting lol). I need/want a phone in the near future.. I'm not going to wait forever until bluetooth becomes a-trac so I can get a great deal on it.

I'm not suggesting throwing money away, but this is a good deal. If you don't see it/it isn't to you, move along. Saving ~30% and waiting just a week (or less) is a good deal to me. If you want to wait forever, by all means go ahead, but this is still a good post, and it'll save me some money. I agree we're in a recession, but this price is certainly not retail. I've also learned time = money. Searching SD every single day to maybe save an additional $20 and getting the phones 6 months from now is a big waste of money in my book. There's a fine line between getting something NOW at a good price, and MAYBE getting something at a great deal later on. For a relatively small purchase like this, the former is the easy choice to make for most people (especially for something you need now).

Btw, forgive me for not being a hardcore SDer. :p
