I'm assuming this is not the restored version?

Did they release an unrestored version on Blu Ray?

This two disc set is the way to go, IMO. I don't think GFIII is worth the extra $

Hence my question.

Actually it was a declarative statement with a question mark at the end. Considering that the cover image posted on Amazon says "The Coppola Restoration", I'll assume it is the restored version. You can assume whatever you'd like.

I was previously told that all the Blu-rays were the restored version.

Even though the third one wasn't great I'd still rather have the complete set.

Yes, it's the restored version. Also, for the UK version, that is the one I bought b/c I wanted the extras. If you only want the first two movies, the only ones owning in many opinions, and don't care about the extras as much, and don't want to wait for shipping from the UK, and don't want to take a chance that the box is damaged (which happens to 50% of my orders where I have to ask for a partial refund or mail back) then this might be the way to go for you.

So you didn't have any problems playing the extras from the UK version? I had ordered it and then canceled because of conflicting stories that the bonus disc was a standard DVD and therefore region specific.

Based on the pictures, all 4 look like BD.

Thanks for the reminder and repped, I hadn't checked out the extra disc yet. I just confirmed that it is a blu-ray disc and plays fine in my region A bluray player.

I'm seriously looking into a region free player or making my region free so this isn't even a consideration anymore.
