iview-710tpc 7" tablet android 2.3 with google market $107.99 shipped

Meritline offers a google 7" tablet with android 2.3 and official android market pre installed

http://www.meritline.com/iview-71...69695.aspx

apply coupon code MLC0902N

then you get 107.99 shipped

this is the cheapest I find with second tier brand but will decent spec and google market support and google apps loaded, usually the ones on Ebay for $99 doesn't come with anything and they are impossible to root, this has most of the stuff doesnt require rooting.

Yes the HP touchpad is capacitive. But you cannot use it for a price comparison -- the tablet cost them $300 just to manufacture, it's not like other companies are suddenly going to be willing to sell tablets for a third of what they cost.

steppedinit 09-02-2011 01:45 PM

No wireless N.

ionizer 09-02-2011 01:51 PM

lols. this isn't a bad tablet and its a nice alternative to the hp virus that's spreading like aids. only difference is aids is easily accessible and doesn't require you to camp at a bestbuy for five hours.

SabrinaC 09-02-2011 07:46 PM

I can't tell if you guys are being serious or not, LOL. I'm considering purchasing one. Or seven.

Thunderpants 09-02-2011 07:51 PM

Damn HP for ruining the tablet market. I can imagine other tablet makers want to break HP's ceo's knees right about now.

I don't get how HP is ruinig the tablet market. At best, they helped the tablet market for the average consumers. Ehh, except for Apple. I still can't justify the amount that people are willing to pay for the iPad 2. Oh right, I'm not hip enough so I downgraded myself to a HP TP. I'm sad but happy at the same time.

pretty much.

Frank784 09-02-2011 08:25 PM

Is this a pretty good deal? I was going to pick a touchpad up for my mother to use around the house or somewhere with wifi. I know that the android market has a ton of support and free applications, so that along with the price is why I would consider this for her.

thanks

I like good products, not the recent blue light specials that the masses flock to....

HP touchpad= Lindsey Lohan

Tablet with Android= Jessica Alba

that is all:lmao::lmao::lmao:

You obviously don't get it. Considering most good tablets were running $400 and over at some point and HP comes along, decides it sucks and drops all it's HP Touchpads to $100. Now consumers are going to start thinking that the normal price of tablets is too high because they could have gotten a good HP tablet for $100. Hence why the other tablet manufacturers want to break HP's ceo's knees right about now.

They didn't ruin the tablet for you or I. They ruined it for other tablet manufacturers that are charging over $400 for their tablets. And in a way they did ruin it for consumers in that no consumer will look at a $100 tablet the same way again. It will always be, "Well why would I pay X amount when I could have gotten an HP Touchpad for $100."

Wjk67 09-02-2011 09:03 PM

Wow, great deal! I will be buying at least 20 and be selling them for $300 on ebay

mfer 09-02-2011 09:12 PM

this is a great deal for what a tablet is, and they are "TOYS"
Non-complicated cheezzy games, calculator, pictures, music player and check your email.
There are different toys just like anything else, every tablet is not a ipad or a Thrive.
There are choices that come with different capabilities.
This is a tablet that does less for less.

ThinkBig 09-02-2011 09:19 PM

buyincoins gave few mts back for 68(i bought two, but had to return based on china product quaity but few others had luck),if the prices below that or at least close then would have to think else not a good deal at all.
and did a thumbs down to set the right hype for a causal visitor.

mountainview 09-02-2011 10:43 PM

at least we got from a retailer in States. tech support/return are easy.

Meritline never answered my emails when I did not receive a cable. I try to avoid to buy cheap stuff from them, just in case. Also their stuff is promoted to FP frequently, even when it is not a good deal, but only cheap stuff sold at its right low price.

I think you'll be unpleasantly surprised, its definitely not better than a Touchpad.

They list: Telechip 8902 800Mhz
I guess the 70mhz still won't make much of a difference as it is a terrible tablet.

kris259 09-02-2011 11:08 PM

upad is a better tablet....same price....

50 bucks more you get the rena3 capacitive or the newly posted evo-ic 8" A820 tablet... both get a lot of respect as bang for your buck tablets... if you cant get a 99/149 TP and want an android tablet... might check out the videos on them in those threads and see the people who have had one and read their reviews... dont buy this one though....

wisper 09-02-2011 11:30 PM

chipad, another garbage!

Bealz 09-03-2011 12:32 AM

Bealz 09-03-2011 12:37 AM

Or if you want something a bit cheaper with the same processor

Yamioni 09-03-2011 06:07 AM

Good deal

In for one. I've been looking for something cheap to just play around with android with, and this fits the bill. Thanks for the find. TU and repped.

No offence, but I think one of the key point is the Official Google Android market is pre loaded here. other so-call China knock off brand I looked at it before this had the android market, hence no apps pretty much. You can root the Coby kryos 7015 (same spec as this)low end model to get install the market yourself, but still a hassle. this is the only one that has done it for consumers so they can start DL apps and enjoy right away. also this is actually a US based company with 800 support # located in CA, :)

dacezman 09-03-2011 12:18 PM

i dont see anyone really wanting to roll on this cheap generic 7 inch tablet deal, while there might still be hope for an HP touchpad! lol

guavaman 09-08-2011 11:39 AM

Now $99.99 at Directron [directron.com]

I'm really getting sick of this futile HP Touchpad quest... though I don't really need a tablet at the mo.

i81u812 09-20-2011 01:50 PM

cheap

Bought so my wife can look at houses etc. I think this should work she isn't savvy.
