Char-Broil 2-Burner Gas Grill Model# 463621811 $19.03 previously $79.00 at home depot YMMV.

Basic 2 burner full size gas grill but excellent price if it is available at your home depot.
No link at home depot. Receipt below.
Link review : http://bbq.about.com/od/charbroil...621811.htm

They also have Weber Genesis S-310 2011 (display) Model Gas Grill on clearance for $199 previously $799. Again YMMV.
Link review: http://bbq.about.com/od/webergasg...-Grill.htm

Check your home depot clearance area for grills. Good luck.

I think it's an amazing, useful deal. I don't know how you can consider it gloating, when the OP posts something for the sake of others. I bought this exact grill for $799, because we have a gas line and needed it for the summer. It's an AWESOME grill, worth $799 and definitely worth a drive for 75% off.

Revin9k 09-28-2011 08:56 PM

Thanks OP! I'm here at home depot Lancaster now just picked one up!!

Buddy99 09-28-2011 09:03 PM

I am completely new, but even I don't understand why you'd bust a guys hump for trying to post info that ended up paying off for a fellow SDer.

I TU'd - good find!

id love one for 199

Simoleon 09-28-2011 11:20 PM

Thanks OP... I'll give it a shot tomorrow. I hear that California Home Depot's tend to clearance out a lot more than places with places with more incliment weather. At least, that's what a manager at our local HD in Washington told me the last time I went.

Agreed. I got in on the 20% off using the Amazon Visa deal earlier this summer, and I was absolutely stoked. For $199, it's an unreal price for a great grill

Would a receipt scan help others in this case? Would other HD's match the price, even if they don't have it on clearance?

date is when the item is first listed at the store. usually item is removed from the store 8-10 months from that date.

no mistake there.

Any discount on any Weber product is rare ... I will be driving around looking for these tonight ... but I'm sure it will be too late ... :sadwalk:

... in fact, I would trade my NLDS Brewers PLAY-OFF tickets (for Sunday's game) for one of these bad boys ... -tru story

.... something is not right though - NOTE the S-310 (NOT E-310) - not sold in Milwaukee area stores - the S-310 is $849 on-line ...

MajorDarkside 09-29-2011 05:02 AM

The unit in the pictures and price tag...isn't that the 2010 model with the knobs on the side shelf instead of the front? 3770001 is the older model I think. ??? Not sure how many of those would still be floating around.

The_Linux_Crew 09-29-2011 05:13 AM

Stores in central Mass are OOS. Also it is the 2010 model.

NO .. the spirit has the side knobs

Last year's model ... or even a 2008 model Genesis ... doesn't matter, you can't even find them used on Craigslist for this price .... if you find 'em, you do like that one guy did and buy them all - then call your friends ... you are set for BBQs all fall!!!

Every picture of a 3770001 is a Genesis and side knobs. I KNOW this is a great deal that was found by the poster with the pictures. I'm just saying I don't know how lucky any one else will get since it's not this year's current model.

I called two locations in Chicago, one had three left but they were unable to verify price. I told them that I had seen it in a forum on the internet for sub twenty dollars, but they would not take my word for it. Has anyone had success in Illinois executing one of these purchases for said price? Thanks!

Wow......really?........Have you read the first rule of Slickdeals?.......

wrxrob 09-29-2011 06:49 AM

DO NOT CALL HOME DEPOT. Once the employee sees how hot the deal is, the employee will buy it for themselves, to sell on craigslist for their own profit.

First rule of slickdeals is to NOT CALL the store.

juice42 09-29-2011 06:55 AM

Thumbs up! i can't believe people still do this!

OT, i love these YMMV deals. for some reason, i get a feeling that i can find a deal like this in the NYC area, them i come back to reality that it would probably never happen~

You are obviously new here so I won't call you a jackass (although I am thinking it). You should not call the store for a deal like this because it will just bring attention to it. May not be the case all the time, but it happens pretty often.

I fully realize it's a pain in the ass to drive to the store to see if they have it only to be turned away empty handed, but when you score a deal like this it is well worth it.

superz20 09-29-2011 07:05 AM

No luck in the Taunton, MA area either. Not surprised, they were pretty much out of grills last time I was there a month ago.

Zeromus-X 09-29-2011 07:52 AM

Going to check out Chesapeake VA tonight unless someone else already has; stuck at work unfortunately.

Last time I tried to get a slick deal on a grill was the Char Broil Commercial Series four burner for like $40 bucks. The manager on duty swore he was not letting me leave the store with a grill that cheap, there's no way he's price matching, etc, etc. Went back an hour later and dealt with someone else and took it home right away.

WRONG! That's the current model in natural gas. People have found some of last year's model in LP for $199 down from $799. I think OP may mistaken that it was the 2011 model since the 2011 model even had a higher list price than $799. Maybe the OP's store did have the floor model 2011 on clearance for that, but who knows.

I did check before I went to store. It had shown 2 but I found 3 at the store just a minute before the store manager put the new reduced price on the box. Not sure how much I can sell them (2) on craigslist to get the rest for free.

I missed the Char-Broil infra at $75 last time by being fooled by store manager (inventory checker said 4 but sale associate said none available).

my local HD had 7 yesterday when i picked up 5. the employees that helped me load the truck jumped on the other 2. NEVER CALL OR LET ANY EMPLOYEE KNOW ABOUT THE DEAL!!!!!

niceshot 09-29-2011 12:10 PM

Now I am wondering if I can get Lowes' 10% coupon to work with the deal.

Revin9k 09-29-2011 12:17 PM

completely forgot about that! ill take my receipt back and get 10% off =) repped!

monkeybiz 09-29-2011 12:19 PM

I was a big weber fan until recently. They are slow adopting InfraRed cooking and I find it much better. There was a Charbroil commercial Infrared for $200 at Lowes last month and less at costco. I got one and I really like it, Paid $210 with the 20% off sale which expired on the 16th.
http://slickdeals.net/forums/show...?t=3300200
Home depot had a cheaper model, not the same stainless tray. So if you are getting a new grill I urge you to look into Infrared.

Char-Broil RED Stainless-Steel 4-Burner Infrared Propane Grill"

Possibly wrong SKU?

That's what I was getting at in my last post. It is NOT the same beast. There is a picture on the box in the first post here of the fancier stainless grate. http://slickdeals.net/forums/show...?t=3300200 Costco and Lowes carries the better Commercial Charbroil.

I even went with a HD PM to Lowes until I saw that Lowes was much better the Home Depot. The key word being Commercial Infrared with Stainless Steel Grates. The cheap version at HD just has a metal concave tray to disperse heat. Amazon has some good user reviews on the Commercial one.

I believe the confusion come from the Stainless Steel in the description. With the Infra RED brand they are talking about stainless steel burners. With the commercial grade you get Stainless Steel grates with a perforated tray underneath. Very well made and perfect for small porches.

Here is the one I bought

If that was the Lancaster store then one of those employees is in for a surprise on the barbeque aisle. The " Hold for ____" tag fell off the box on the way to customer service when I purchased the last box. I am building the Genesis right now.:shake:

hiloyo63 09-29-2011 01:02 PM

Las Vegas Arroyo crossing had 1 on top shelf bought it 199.03 + tax .scanner said 1 more in stock but I looked for 30 minutes and couldn't see it anywhere.

hiloyo63 09-29-2011 01:06 PM

newbie here but saw a post about price mistake...doesn't HD clear items down to xx.03 and then they are d'cntinued ?? Thought i saw this on previous items.mine was 199.03 a very odd amount.the charbroil is also priced xx.03...

scpete 09-29-2011 01:09 PM

First, thanks to the OP and repped. Even though I did not get a 2011 floor model, I got the last two 2010 Genesis S-310s (NIB on a pallet still wrapped in plastic), with the burner knobs on the right side tray as shown here:

http://weber-genesis-s-310-gas-gr...gspot.com/

These had the 969-654 SKU and were listed in the HD system at $199.03. Needless to say, the employee that helped me was very surprised to see these at this price, noting that Weber stuff was rarely discounted at all.

Ended up being $424.73 with tax for the two and the best part was that I got to use up some gift cards that had been hanging around for awhile.

BuyAChiaPet 09-29-2011 04:56 PM

Scored 1 of the Genesis. Great deal, thank you OP. NP using lowes movers coupon. $180 plus Tax. one of the best deals I had in a while. Found 2 more at another HD but they refused to match the price even with receipt showing same SKU and discounted price. You gotta take the good with the bad on this website. Truth is, there are many people on here looking to make money from re-selling. It used to bother me, but look at it this way. If not for this site, you never would have known about these deals in the first place.

Agree. NEVER call. Hubby called two stores asking for in stock benches because the inventory said low on stock and both stores checked and came back and said they could not find them. Then today we go pick up an order for my rocker and I asked the guy in the lawn and garden just in case and he said an employee grabbed the last one today and said he didn't even know they had any left until they checked. Sure after hubby called and told them one was there. I could have killed him. All you do is alert the empoyees to a sale. I can't tell you how many times I check out at a store and an employee will ask me if any are left. Caught a Walmart employee taking razors off the shelf and hiding them in the back until she got off work and she was working, not on break. It happens.

sg228 09-29-2011 07:48 PM

Just got 1 at Woodbridge nj location. they have 2 more.....the employee had to get it from back and he was shocked when it rang for 19 bucks. not sure if they will leave it now......

tighed1 09-29-2011 08:28 PM

The employees helping me get my grills kept saying, "I can't believe we didn't catch this".
They also praised me for finding the deal and getting $799 grills for $199 each.
Truth is I also got 10% off with my military ID card. $390 for 2 after taxes, out the door.

It was the display and it was the last one they had. It maybe a sign they are closing them out or it could just be an isolated incident. It had the $xxx.03 price tag which I'm sure someone else knows what that means.

tipstir 09-30-2011 12:40 PM

Which one is this can't find it shows $799. I have 8 stores nearby..

rubdom 09-30-2011 12:52 PM

I just found 3 of them (Webers). You need to go out to the garden center if you don't see them on the shelf or in the isle. The garden center is where they keep clearance items. There were about 30 grills fully assembled out there. The price was wrong on the tag it read $499 but when it rang up it was only $199. Look for SKU 969654. Also just an FYI the display won't show up on the inventory checker so stores that show 0 may have their display left. Happy Hunting and Repped to OP!!!

desidown 09-30-2011 12:57 PM

I found a couple of these at the Mcdowell road Home Depot in Phoenix, AZ (#455) last night using the inventory checker. So I went this morning and had them lookup the price , it was $ 474. I showed them the 199 price tag image on my phone but they said the clearance prices are different for different markets. So I bought one for 474 + tax. After I returned I looked up the Home Depot in Casa Grande and they had one in stock. So I called them ( Casa Grande is over 35 miles away plus they had only 1 ) and they said it was $199 ! So I returned the one I had purchased to a Home Depot nearby and went straight to Casa Grande and bought the only one for 199 + tax :)
Thanks OP ! Great find !

Little update... called first thing this morning to corporate customer service to ask about store price match policy, and explain what happened, within 2 minutes, I got the $199 price from the store manager who told me just last night "not going to happen" after corporate put him on 3 way con call. I just want to say thank you. I went to my local Home Depot in Milwaukee, WI only to find that there was only one in the whole district. Thanks OP and special thanks to "TheGOG", who PM'ed me to let me know there was a Weber grill not too far from me. Reps to you both. Scored one tonight in Port Richmond, Pa.
Funny, the inventory checker said there were 2, but I only saw 1. The customer service rep who helped me was trying to scour the area to find the last grill for herself. She was wondering why I was asking for the grill all the way on the top shelf, until she punched in the sku number into her hand-held gun and saw the price. She said, "Oh my...that's an $800 grill, but it's coming up $199". She wouldn't let the guy with the forklift leave the area until they could find the last one. Hence the rule....NEVER CALL!!! I built mine yesterday. Took about an hour and a half, with the "help" of my 4 year old. The only thing pre-built are the burners. There is a lot of assembly, but nothing too difficult. If you own a 7/16 socket, use it instead of the cheap wrench they include. There are .pdf instructions online if you need closeups for any of the directions.

Check your home depot clearance area for grills. Good luck.

If you own a 7/16 socket, use it instead of the cheap wrench they include. There are .pdf instructions online if you need closeups for any of the directions.

ahh they are 2010 models (the ones i like)

that is why they have massive discounts

still mad none in chicago :(

I am not looking for the grills but both Lowes and HD have issues with their inventory tracker. I can't tell you how many items I have seen in the store that say out of stock online or just don't mention the item at all online and I am speaking of recent events as well. So don't assume that the grill is not in stock at your store. But I would not call and alert any employee by calling, so you will need to actually go to the store and check yourself. If you are looking for an item that is not on sale, you can call, but not for anything like this kind of deal.

I found another S-310 that doesnt have a side burner, which I got 3 off, for only $174!!!!

Here's a website that describes the differences... http://www.webergenesise310.com/

For those that are interested, the SKU is "824679" and I will post it on the WIKI and pics later when I have time.

To sweeten the deal, I got an extra 10% Military discount!! My family is going to have some awesome Christmas presents this year!!!!

Excuse me but are you saying that it was $174 each or $174 for 3?

Same here. The tracker seems very accurate to me as well. Today, went to a store here in NorCal that said had 1 in stock and after purchasing it for $199, the stock checker now says 0 in stock. Thanks OP. I now have a brand new in box Weber S-310.

Guess you should mention that it was a display and the last one. This is not on sale anywhere that i know off.

I am glad that worked out for you, I know how frustrating it is to see a deal and miss out on it. As people are ordering online, someone is in the store with one in their shopping cart waiting to checkout. At least for crazy good deals like this one. I don't know how the stores can prevent problems with it when you have people shopping in the store and online at the same time but calling ahead is not a good option either.

Been looking for a grill on clearance for hubby for Christmas. His cheap gas grill died last year and we just couldn't afford one. He didn't bbq once this summer. Luckily I worked some extra hours this paycheck to cover someone on vacation. I figured I'd search for a grill this weekend. I never thought it could be this great.

The stock checker showed at the Arnold MO store for sku 824679 two in stock.
Just went there and had the cashier put it in and her register showed 3.
She called an older guy over who found a newer model (knobs on the front different sku) in the box for $700 he's like 'no way that can't be right'. I told him the other sku was last years model and the knob are on the side.

He went somewhere, and was gone quite awhile, I was getting paranoid that the 3 would be conveniently out of stock/not found. Saw him heading outside. After about 10min I went outside and he said he was waiting for the manager. There were 2 outside and 1 inside all put together. The old and the new had the new sku #. He said I was right about the knobs and model

The manager finally came outside everything was reiterated he said he had to check out the story because he wanted to keep his job. Came back and said do it. Unfortunately, if it was in a box I think it would've fit in my station wagon, but they were all assembled. Paid for it they put a will call tag on it and promised me it would be there tomorrow when I got my neighbor with the truck to pick it up.

The manager also told the guy who was helping me that if he didn't buy one after they closed he would kick his butt (manager only likes charcoal he said). They've been outside and have a few scratches but for $188.xx out the door hubby will live.

Thanks for helping me make my husband's Christmas great. Repped OP and Weber sku person

Glad see you were able to get one. This is what slickdeals should be all about. We are in the same boat with financial hardships, and I'm so excited to get a great grill at a great price. Congrats!

Does anyone know how updated the inventory checker is? Is it up to the minute or every 24 hours that it is updated? Thanks!

When I checked before going last night about 8pm central the inventory checker said updated as of 11:55pm ET 9/30 (scroll to the bottom of the checker).
I just looked now and it said updated as of 10/1 11:55pm ET. So it looks like it updates after stores close.

BTW my Arnold MO store now says 1 left.

mamabee_ 10-02-2011 08:44 AM

Thank you so much OP and CinandGin!!!!!
There are 2 e-310s and 1 s-310 left at the port richmond, pa store! The manager and staff were so friendly and helped me hunt them down! In the process they found all the clearance ones were misplaced with the wrong sku attached! Even after locating them they didnt want any for themselves. Instead they put the remaining ones by the front entrance! Go get it now if you are looking!!

Thank you again op and cinandgin!! Will rep when i'm not on mobile!! You guys are awesome!!

mamabee_ 10-02-2011 08:46 AM

Btw he inv locators are accurate as i asked them to compare w what i saw online. Turns out their inv shows one eztra than what appears online. The mgr said sometimes the system does that online. Either way it is accurate!

SCORE...drove to the other side of Houston and got two 824679 models. Checker said 2 online and they had 2. In the store, they said they had 3 but we could only find 2. They were assembled and had been outside in the garden dept. The guy helping me gave me another $50 off each. Not perfect shape but for $125, it is a fantastic deal. HP Touchpad and two grills in a few wks. Thank you SlickDeals!

Well shit, I just picked mine up 15min ago from there, paid for it last night. I should've asked for extra off for all the scratches.
I did all the looking and talking to show them it was last years model on clearance. Spent about 45min there last night while they got it all figured out.
Made it much easier for you!

The E-310. There were 2 left last night. The one inside had one of the utensil hangers broken off. I got the better of the 2 outside ones but they all had scuffs and scratches.
Great deal. Now I need to get a propane tank for it and hubby's Christmas will be done.

Happy grilling fellow Arnoldite

Did this include the natural gas version for the Weber grill? Or was this for LP (propane) only? If someone got a natural gas version on the Weber grill deal, that would be phenomenal. But I don't know if Home Depot carries that.

someone posted that the got a NG model on the other "weber grill thread"

CinandGin 10-03-2011 09:09 AM

This post is mainly for those that live in South Jersey or Philly. Since everyone is stating that the inventory checker is very accurate, I decided to go back and check the Lawnside, NJ store because it says they have 1 Weber S-310 left. I searched around the garden center for a while and came up with nothing. I then went inside and checked the top shelves to see if anything was stashed away. Nothing. As I was leaving, I look at the display section of assembled grills and there it was. There is 1 S-310 which looks fine but the stainless steel needs to be cleaned up. I didn't want an assembled grill so I passed. But if anyone wants to get this grill they are probably going to have to fight with the manager. The grill has the controls on the side shelf (which is the older model) but the grill is tagged with the 2011 SKU and is priced at $849. So if you are interested in getting it, you are going to have some detailed explaining to do. You might have to get corporate involved if you get shot down since the product is mislabeled. Good luck to anyone who tries to get it. It is the very first grill at the front entrance. Let me know how you make out.

raysacr 10-03-2011 09:21 AM

For those of you on that always chastise ppl for calling and alerting employees of prices, and the employee snatch it up for themselves. How is that any different from these ppl that I see buying 3-5 grills, wiping out the store and taking the deal from the rest in the area, just to list on CL for profit. effing pathetic...

CinandGin 10-03-2011 09:56 AM

I guess that last post was aimed at me. I did get 3 grills. One I kept, 1 I sold to my best friend at cost, and the third I ended up giving to my parents. No profit for me. Sorry if you missed out on the deal but if you snooze, you lose.

It wasnt directed towards you. But I'm starting to see a bunch of E-310s popping up on CL, listing for $400-500.

I had the same idea this morning! Went to the Lawnside,NJ store and looked all over for it. (I was there Saturday and didn't see anything). Went to the CS desk and was told they had 2 (the inventory checker here said 1). I had 3 employees looking for them and one of employees finally noticed the one at the front entrance with the side knobs. i don't know how I missed it. He took off the $849 price tag which he said was wrong and told me it was $199.03. Paid for it , loaded it up and brought it home. No fighting the manager or getting corporate involved. Inventory checker now says 0. I guess it is precise!

Thanks OP for posting this deal and thank you CinandGin for not buying it this morning (I was there at around 11AM). This just made my day!!

I also wanted to say Sorry to the gentleman that arrived a few minutes after me looking for the same thing and leaving emptyhanded. I know how that feels! I hope you find one !
