This does look pretty good -- but what exactly is their scratch and dent policy?

I recently bought their i3 laptop for $430 (and there was tax in Ohio) but I might consider upgrading to this...

Elpee 10-27-2011 05:59 AM

Great deal actually. Can I replace 500GB HDD by a 120GB SSD and keep Win 7 Prem?
Thanks.

djweissman 10-27-2011 06:10 AM

These are almost gone already.

TOMDOX 10-27-2011 06:14 AM

Gone!!

djweissman 10-27-2011 06:19 AM

There are a few left for 20 bucks more if you take off the price filter.

D3alHunt3r 10-27-2011 06:29 AM

Can this run WOW?

That one was found by clicking on the first link and taking off the price range filter. There was only one and it was a slick deal!

Thanks got in on the Y470 with Bluray

wazlo21 10-27-2011 08:22 AM

Nice deal. At this rate, I can't wait to see what BF brings. My wife's laptop is dying and we're trying to nurse it along til then in hopes of getting a steal on a machine that has similar specs to this.

dward4 10-27-2011 08:26 AM

Question: This Ideapad is mostly what I'm looking for, save for the small screen resolution:

IdeaPad Y460p (Refurbished)
Outlet Price: $900.01
Sale Price: $765.01
Intel® Core™ i7-2630QM (2.0GHz base; 2.9GHz Max Turbo, 6MB Cache)
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - English
750GB, 5400RPM Serial ATA 2.5" Hard Drive
8GB (2 X 4GB) PC3-10600 DDR3 1333MHz SDRAM SODIMM Memory
14.0” WXGA HD (1366 X 768) LED, W/ Camera
ATI™ Mobility Radeon&tradel HD 6550M
DVD Recordable 8x Max Dual Layer
Industry Standard Touchpad

Does anyone think it would be worth holding off till around black friday for a slightly better laptop with similar specs but a HD resolution (1900x1080)? I'm not stuck on a lenovo laptop, just want a good gaming laptop for around that price. I like the fact that it's not a 17" screen as well, so I definitely don't need a lenovo if I'm going to hold out for a better resolution. This just seems like a good price, and I'm not sure if the price drop will be enough to make it worth the wait. I just have this feeling that if I can get a laptop like this now, if I hold off for three weeks it'll be worth the wait (my laptop is on its deathbed but not completely gone yet).

1900x1080 is now only found on high end systems. Doubt you will get one too cheap. Believe Dell XPS systems have that option, and higher end HP and Lenovo systems, but all seem to be right around $1000 even when on sale...and most if not all will only be found on 15 or 17" models.
