Have you bought through them before?

TripleCCC 12-06-2011 06:38 AM

yes, I've bought a few gift cards before which means I can only get the 2% cash back today but wanted to let everyone who has never bought with them they can get 20%

I like buying for gifts for out of town friends to send in an email but also just to use for my own online shopping :)

BonusDealer 12-06-2011 06:46 AM

Does this mean I can buy 10 separate cards for $200 total bonus,

Sounds like you are limited to one order with a maximum of $20 cashback.

Analogies 12-06-2011 06:53 AM

So you spend $100 and you get $20 back.

madpoet 12-06-2011 06:54 AM

How do you get your cash back?

madpoet 12-06-2011 06:54 AM

Grr double post

digglestein 12-06-2011 06:55 AM

I was all about the amazon gift card, but not after learning how to redeem the cash back reward:

Getting your Cash Back

Your cash back earnings may be redeemed one of 2 ways:

eBillme Coupon:
After you earn a minimum of $10.00 USD, you can turn your earnings into a coupon from your monthly Cash Back statement. To redeem your coupon code simply enter it on the eBillme Terms and Conditions page as you checkout with eBillme at one of our participating merchants.

Check by Mail:
You can choose to earn a minimum of $50.00 USD and then redeem your Cash Back in the form of a check that we will mail to your billing address. Please note any remainder of your balance will remain in your Cash Back account.

clo41 12-06-2011 06:58 AM

I've used Ebillme before in the past. If i'm not mistaken, in order to get the money back, you have to accumulate $50 in cash back before you can receive a check. If you have less than that amount, you can only use the cash back as a discount towards the purchase of future gift cards

http://www.ebillme.com/customer-s...e-rewards/

The eBillme Cash Back program has a redemption minimum of $10. Once you’ve reached $10 or more you can cash out for a coupon in $10 increments or you can cash out with a check once you’ve reached $50. On the 15th of each month, we’ll email you a statement with a summary of how many cash back rewards you have, and how you can cash in.

Maximum allowable cash back earnings are $200 every 12 months (across all eBillme merchants, gift cards, and offers).
When redeeming cash back please note: online coupon code will be active immediately; allow 8-10 weeks delivery for check (check will be send by mail).

You can log in to the eBillme Cash Back portal any time, to check your rewards, and if you meet the redemption amounts, you can request a coupon code, or a check.
To log in, you need your email address and your eBillme account # (begins with EB).

How about placing 5 orders of $100 each, then in 30 or 60 days you request your check?

It says a minimum of $50 for a check. You'd only be able to do one order per account, so each account would have $20 in credits.

I assume you cannot combine account credits. If you can, then your method should work.

Even if it doesn't work, you can use the $20 towards a $50 amazon card, and in the end you will have $100 in Amazon gift cards and have spent $50 + $30 for them. $80 for $100 is good in my opinion.

I think I am going to give it a try, spend $100.00 on an amazon gift card, get the $20.00 credit, then it appears you can make a custom giftcard with a minimum of $25.00, so you can get $125 worth of gift card for $105

microkelvin 12-06-2011 07:34 AM

so we will never reach $50. Useless promotion for us.

LumberJacket 12-06-2011 07:35 AM

I did this a while back. I remember it took some time to get the check but it came. I'd do it again if I could.

I participated in a promotion and then ebillme changed the terms after the fact so that I wouldn't be eligible for the offer (the thread must be somewhere on SD still).

teo829 12-06-2011 07:46 AM

$50 minimum...ehh

Bmr4life 12-06-2011 07:46 AM

Not worth it with the $20 limit. If the limit was $200, I'd do it.

If this works, this seems like the way to go.

Well worth it. You get $125 in gift cards to Amazon.com or other retailer for $105

Basically a net savings of 16% when all is said and done. Not too shabby, and works without a hitch. After looking at emails last purchase was on Jan 26th, and $20 code was sent Feb 16th. Also last time you were able to purchase $20 gc...this time minimum $25. So last time was a bit better...but still a great deal!

Your reply did not rebut my original post. $20 limit is too low for me to care about.

pbmpharmacist 12-06-2011 08:24 AM

The buy $50 of Amazon gift cards and get $10 of Target gift cards was off the hook. This deal, not so much

anubis05 12-06-2011 09:15 AM

The whole 20% cashback with max $20 per order makes this offer not worth all the effort.

wreckz 12-06-2011 09:43 AM

Not sure why everyone is complaining, I'll take the 20 bucks. Thanks OP. I have to use my VitaCost Groupons anyways so I'll just use the ebillme coupons.

jmh1 12-06-2011 09:47 AM

I contacted eBillme. The limit for cash back per order is $20 for today. You get only 2% after the first order.

[me] How many gift cards can a new customer buy with the 20% cash back ?
[David] Thank you for contacting eBillme support.
[David] hello
you can buy any goft card you want - the 20% cash back applies on your 1st order only
[me] The question then is how many cards can he buy in one order ?
[me] How about ten $100 cards ? Or $200 cash back.
[David] the limit for cash back per order is $20 for today
[David] Is there anything else I can help you with?
[me] David, thanks

johny3 12-06-2011 10:39 AM

i get 5% from my cc for amazon purchases. too bad it is not more than that after the 1st purchase.

Agree, open a account then go through all the process to make $20 is not worth the time.

eh there are a lot of 'slick' deals that involve a lot more work for a lot less payoff, not sure why this one got bashed while things on Bing rewards are getting upvoted (i just checked it out, wow the days of easy Bing cashback are long gone).

$20 is significant for just providing your name and address and then submitting a payment through your bank's online site. it took me about 5 minutes (I spent more time reading the thread than actually doing it), and i definitely make less than $240 per hour, so $20 for 5 minutes is a good deal.
