Xbox 360 Gears Of War Bundle + $75 Gift Card For $249 @ Best Buy! Lots of Other Xbox 360 Deals Too!
 

I returned from Best Buy a little while ago. I got them to price match Costco's B&M price of $249 for the 320GB Xbox 360 Gears Of War Bundle. In addition, Best Buy has a promotion for a $75 Gift Card with the purchase of a bundle! I previously bought the 250gb holiday bundle for $199 + GOW for $30 @ BB so i returned it and got the 320GB GOW bundle for $249 + a $75 Gift Card so I am very very satisfied. I will upload my receipt as soon as I scan and remove personal info. If you take the Best Buy receipt in, I see no reason to mention Costco at all :bounce:

Best Buy should have no problem price matching this. I got them to price match with no hassle at all. I told the manager Costco had them for $249 and that i could show her a Costco receipt and a BB receipt where they did this PM for someone else. I pulled out my phone, and she said "that's ok, I believe you" so I didnt even have to show the proof lol. So she scanned everything and as I was getting the money ready she said she has a $75 gift card for me too! I previously bought the 250gb holiday bundle for $199 + GOW for $30 @ BB so i returned it, paid $20 more and got the 320GB GOW bundle + a $75 Gift Card so I am very very satisfied.

Here [costco.com] is the link to the bundle on Costco's website. The webpage says $369.98 but the B&M price is $249. The Costco B&M item number is 688883.

As of 12-27 this is still working

Its worth a shot! They may not pay attention to the gift card that was included with your purchase. Ive read on here where some people returned their 360 and kept the card but that is probably YMMV

well i think a lot of people who wanted systems have already bought them ... also wasn't this $200 with $50gc at best buy last week? assuming gc spent toward a game, this is only $10 better. it's not flaming hot deal like i think some people are waiting for. thank you for posting. i just got a 360, curious if any other deals come around before i open it lol

yea, i scored the 250gb for $199 myself but I figured there are some people out there that missed previous deals. I really dont think we are going to see any better deals than we have already saw but who knows lol

Yep! And they did the PM with no hassle at all. I told the manager Costco had them for $249 and I had a Costco and BB receipt where BB PM Costco for someone else. I told her I can show the receipts on my phone and she said "thats alright I believe you". I thought it was an excellent deal @ $249 but that $75 GC made it even better. I like our best buy, they did say they would price match anything and they have kept their word so far

you are VERY lucky to get your PM. my store would only PM if there's a printed ad, and then they would call to make sure the competitor has it in stock.

Show them my receipt. Tell them BB sold me the bundle for $249 in store for a cheaper price. Your BB sounds like our Walmarts lol...

Sadly, the Manager at my local Best Buy was a total dick and said: "Those receipts are not from local retailers" I told him and insisted that Costco had it for 249.99 and showed him more receipts from people online and he STILL declined the price match. I showed him the Best Buy one and he still said: "That is up to manager discretion." I WAS VERY VERY PISSED.

I tried calling the 800# to try and get a $75 Gift Card for my Gears Bundle purchase, but have to wait until 9 eastern when that department opens.

They won't give me the $75 Gift Card and said "my friend" shouldn't have gotten it either, because of the discount from the price match. I suppose I'll just have to be content with saving $150. You lucked out man!

Geez i hate that type of manager! One manager is just as sweet as she can be and the other one acts like he is king dingaling of BB! I have snapped on him so many times now when he sees me he goes the other way lol.

Oh damn now that sucks, I saw on the website where it clearly says $75 GC with purchase of holiday, GOW or COD bundle, it says nothing about a price at all... I have saw BB doing PM and still giving GC this whole holiday season! I would definitely try again at the store when the shift changes lol. I wouldnt say anything about a PM and just say that you saw online where there was a promotion for a $75 GC with bundle but you didnt receive yours. I really dont see how they can try and get out of giving you the gift card when it clearly states a gift card is included online. They are just giving you a hard time man!

also, thanks for the heads up on the Costco PM as I would have known nothing about this if it wasnt for you! It really helped me out as I bought alot of games including GOW so i was able to return a few I bought and repurchased with gift card putting $$$ back in my pocket, always a good feeling lol :bounce:

That in store item # is for Costco. I used it when I called Costco to see if they had any in stock and it worked, said they had 20 something.

At first he said he didn't know what I was talking about, that the gift card special was only for the holiday bundle. I then said I could show him the website where it said GOW and suddenly he remembered the promotion i was talking about. Then gave me the BS about not applying to a price match. I think I will try with a different manager tomorrow. What do these clowns care if you get a good deal? They just have to try and be king of their $7 an hour world. I'm not knocking people who make minimum wage, just the ones who have a power trip to make up for their lack of income. Like the guy who works the drive thru at McDonalds and doesn't want to give you a an extra nugget sauce, because you're only allowed 2. WTF do you care? Just give me the damn sauce!

because managers don't work the same as the minimum wage employees. Managers are on tight strings and if the store is having problems keeping up with other stores in terms of revenues/profits then they are the first to go.

Price match plus gift card equals double dipping in best buy's eyes. It's very hit or miss.

Ah I see what you are saying and it raises a good point. It really depends on your manager. Even if you price match, the $75 GC is still automatically added at the register. It is up to the cashier to remove it.

Check the first post. I saw where this worked yesterday and they got the GC as well! Show the BB receipt and dont mention Costco or the GC unless you have to. After you decline their BB warranty, they should scan the GC, then you pay. I dont see any reason to mention the GC unless they ask you for the money but didnt scan a GC. Hope this helps

Well... You don't ask them about the GC. You just ask them to match the $249 price and the gift card is automatically added at the register.

BestBuy pays alot better than $7 an hour and the reason they care is because if they don't do everything to the tee ... Then they get their asses chewed on a regular basis. Plus that's kinda known as double dipping ... Your getting the pm and then some

Couldn't get a PM @ bestbuy in Austin. Showed them picture of receipt, cashier took it to the back to show to manager, came back & said that the store on receipt was probably trying to get rid of all their stock and that they couldn't match price. :/
