I've been researching them for a while. I've been trying to decide between one of these, or one of Breville's juicers.

But I've heard nothing but good things about this juicer.

Best part is it has a free 15 year warranty.

MasterPhoenix 01-02-2012 05:18 PM

Wow, that's a STEAL OP. thanks and people need to REP OP for this deal. This juicer is hard to find EVER at this price unless it's used.

Pezfel 01-02-2012 05:30 PM

Got it for $217.49 after CA taxes. Seems the lowest it went on Amazon was 249 a while ago, and a thread back in April got good reviews for $256 - http://slickdeals.net/f/2886065-O...45-or-less

wilde 01-02-2012 05:38 PM

Does anyone know how I can change the title to the correct price?

not this one but i had a masticating juicer before and i gave it away and got breville juicer instead. the problem i had with the masticating juicer was that it's terrible for juicing celery, which is what i juice most. but it was good for carrots, apples and other stuff that is not fibrous... so just think about what you want to juice with it. just my $0.02.

txprelude 01-02-2012 08:35 PM

amazing deal...thumbs way up and repped...thanks!!

Vegan 01-02-2012 08:39 PM

I have this juicer & I absolutely LOVE it.
You can put stuff through it a couple times (without dismantling any of it).

I never juiced celery by itself but have juiced it with other fruits & veggies with no problem.

I juice sprouts, lemons, carrots, beets, kale, parsley & cilantro, um can't think of what else & it's all great. The thing to remember is to put in one piece or leaf of something, then something else, keep rotating til you're done.

I've made nut butters in it too. YUM.

PedroR 01-02-2012 08:59 PM

Thanks
got the 330 as well to do my own side by side comp

firemedic1343 01-02-2012 09:09 PM

I love this juicer. I also have kitchen gadgets like a Vitamix and Kitchenaid 550 Mixer(Costco model).

I have to say, this juicer is excellent. We had a Champion years ago and the Omega is def a step up. You can juice wheat grass and make almond butter. This thing is amazing.

craezie 01-02-2012 09:13 PM

I have this juicer, and I am not the biggest fan. It does a good job with greens, so if that is the main thing you like then I would recommend it. For things like fruit, it is not the most efficient (get a Breville). I was also disappointed by the yield on root veggies like carrots and beets. My mom's Champion is very similar (also masticating) but for some reason she gets twice as much juice out of the same carrot.

Rocco 01-02-2012 09:52 PM

Why take a perfectly good piece of fruit, and ruin it in a juicer?

Have you tried putting that carrot through the Omega first? Or using separate carrots?

cowboyhank 01-02-2012 10:44 PM

Yeah I mean if you drink a lot of fruit juice and you're not going to give it up then go for this, but the reality is fruit juice is hardly better than a soft drink. The fiber is key to making fruit sugar "healthy" and the skins of fruit hold many of the nutrients. The white skin of oranges for instance has what is believed to be a cancer fighting agent.

Exactly my point. As someone else noted here the usefulness of fruit/veggie juices is largely overstated by past decades.

I don't mind spending $200 for a juicer that look that cool, and seems to be a high quality product, but someone please tell me why I really need this. A small family-operated grocery store nearby sells true unprocessed apple juice. I don't think I can beat their costs.

P.S. I also don't have much time. A citrus-only juicer I have quite a cleaning "cycle" taking much time and human labor to clean, so I maybe used it twice. How about this one?

catch22alex 01-03-2012 03:56 AM

DEAD, move to deal talk.

wow, pretty surprised to find this posted,

i have my own, bought couple cheaper juicers before actually researching them, bought this one after much research,
slower rpm's means lower temperatures (doesn't burn the enzymes) and slower rpm's means the enzymes aren't obliterated force-wise either. from what i was able to research.

surprised macy's carries this.

bought my mom one super soon thereafter. bought my friend one from amazon a couple months ago for $219 or 225 on amazon.

this is a steal. seriously

jestech 01-03-2012 06:19 AM

Can't believe I missed this. Was looking at buying this exact model off Amazon soon. Oh well, looks like I'll wait for it to go on sale again.

macy's has this sale every few months. they cancelled my breville order last time, thought about this but just picked up a centrigual on overstock with some extra o.rewards I had. If i destroy it or desire more, i will pick something like this up.

AirJames 01-03-2012 07:31 AM

I have this Omega juicer and don't use it as much as I should. It's a bit of work to juice. As someone mentioned, greens seem to be the easiest(least fibrous). Stuff get's jammed in the screen if you use seedy/fibrous stuff. Now, aside from that downside, I love the taste of the juice and it is one of the few that does wheatgrass. It yields a decent amount for one patch, I think about two of those tiny sampler cups. It does amazing on carrots and I don't even like carrot juice but this makes it so fresh that it's actually easy to drink. Just know that after getting the juice and drinking it, you have to dissassemble and clean. The screen is the hardest part to clean as little seeds will get stuck in the tiny holes and you have to get a needle to poke the really jammed ones out because smacking it with the brush won't work. Everything else is easy to just rinse off. Now, time for me to start using mine again... I paid like $220 on a lucky ebay deal a while back. Haven't used mine to the potential =/ This is definitely worth it. You can always sell it on ebay if you don't like it for at least $200.

Just wanted to let everyone know I just found another discount for this juicer.

To anyone who bought this juicer, once it ships, call Macy's and tell them you'd like to apply the NEWYEAR promo code for an additional 15% off. This worked for me with no problems, and my new total for the juicer was $175!

wilde 01-10-2012 12:36 AM

Oh, and here is exactly how I got the extra 15% off:

I called Macy's customer service at 1-800-289-6229 (They're open 9am-Midnight Eastern time).

I had tried to apply the NEWYEAR promo code when I ordered it, but it didn't work. So I called them, and they actually told me to call back when it ships, and have them apply the discount and credit my account.

So I called today, and all I said was that I was told to call back, and that I'd like to apply the NEWYEAR promo code for 15% off, and they adjusted the price with no questions asked. It was actually really easy, they didn't give me any trouble at all.

New final price was $175 (with tax $192).

Awesome find! I just called and got them to do the same thing, they said it was 10% off not 15 though for home items, she said I would get a 20ish dollar credit back on my card.

Just FYI when you call it is a little hard to realize how to speak to someone, get to the tracking section where they tell you its on its way and at the very end it says press 0 to talk to someone about the order.

I wish i saw this earlier:(

330 wastes a lot / makes a mess / time consuming to clean

Sounds like a juicer won't meet your needs, period. :)

For those that are in the market for a juicer, who have researched them, I can vouch that this one is terrific. Low, low speed. Little waste. Wish it was still $200. :(
