In that case, YOWZA! I am now glad I got a 3tb external usb3.0 then for $110, and hopefully by the time I need another, 1tb ssds will exist and be affordable.

Well not completely true, really only Western Digital was affected, the other HD manufacturers are just raising the prices based on WD plant going down.
Seagate actually shipped less drives than they normally do but profits are up.

Blah I need a 2 TB drive though, my Seagate and Hitatchi both just click of deathed on me.
