We've had bad luck with Uniden phones. We need a new set now because our current phones (Uniden) suck. It may just be the batteries, but for the price of batteries vs new phones, you just buy new phones. A friend has had similar issues with Uniden.

Our issue now is that it's getting more and more common for the phone to "reboot" every time the phone rings which means you have to go find another phone to pick up because the reboot takes like 30 seconds. The battery monitor seems worthless too as it'll go from 2 bars to dead in like 5 minutes sometimes.

Note that we do NOT have this model, so it may be better, I'd just watch out.

I call it staples easy rebate and is legendary in ease of returning money. Staple may die as lousy store but SER will be written with golden words in history.

I used mine to kill ants out on sidewalk. It was fun they would be all lined up then i'd get near them with the phone then they'd scramble and u they start rollin aroun and then just die. All of them.

It's a matter of opinion, but I disagree - putting things in many different places doesn't generally make them easier to find. Every thread has a wiki, this could have been added to the wiki in the weekly thread. By your logic, I could start 100 separate threads for every conceivable combo of xyz + free software + $25 coupon - does that make it easier for someone who wants to know what's a good deal at staples next week? I guess if someone really wants to get reps, they start a new thread, but that's the only plus for this being its own thread. ok, one more time, slowly, just for you: there are an infinite number of combinations of things you can add to a $50 software that's free after rebate when using a $25 off $75 coupon, there is already a thread for next week's staples deals, so, your logic takes us to where there would be an infinite number of threads each specifying a mind numbingly obvious combination of things that work out free or cheap when buying the $50 software & using the $25 off q. That makes a giant unmanageable mess, and serves absolutely no purpose whatsoever other than to give the op's of all those nonsense thread a rep grabbing opportunity. actually, most of my examples were for other items on sale with rebates and instant savings, like the aio printer, chair, turbo tax, etc. I get it that people have deal alerts for stuff, so an independent thread is useful for triggering that. My only point is, when individual threads start popping up for every possible staples deal each week, it makes it impossible for the average staples shopper that wants to know 'what's good this week at staples' to find all these myriad combos, and invites people to start threas like '25 packs of gum free at staples this week', which is silly. The phone from op is on page 2 of the ad. If you can't bother looking at the ad, which pretty much has some phone deal like this every single week, and figure out a $30 phone + $50 far software + $25 off $75 q makes the phone $25 cheaper, idk if anything posted on sd can help you. I think the best solution is for worthwhile combos (like this phone deal) to have their own thread, idiotic deals like my '25 packs of gum free at staples' be deleted or merged into the main weekly thread, and links to the good individual threads also be put in the wiki of the main weekly thread. I put a link to op's post (this thread) in the weekly staples thread wiki. I don't think it's any less useful to point out to people that they could also swap the phone out of op's example combo deal for anything else they want at staples in the $25 - $30 (or more) range and get that thing for $25 less. Office Depot has had it on sale several times last year. I did a price match--used a 25 off 75 and Staples was offering a $20 rebate-
Final cost: 79.99 less 25.00 off 75.00 ==59.53 (including tax) w/a $20 rebate coming back so actual cost after receiving rebate will be 39.53

It was a TG7643 the 3 on the end is the number of phone's in the set :).

I purchased mine the end of Nov so I'm sure it will be on sale soon again!!!

I ordered software last year to get to Premier in Nov/Dec and checked w/Staples and they said I could order under my Staples # and put rebates in other names/addresses. Rebates at this time aren't linked to the person ordering or shipping address. However I did have some of it shipped to other addresses but not all of it and it didn't seem to make any difference. I did this w/2 different software promotions and all of the rebates have been received for the first promation and waiting for the Trend Micro ones now. They have been delayed because of the Christmas return policy but all of them have been marked Validation complete so just waiting for them to process check or debit card. Make sure that you have different addresses for the rebates.

Make sure that your purchases are done correctly too. It would be rather difficult to seperate a receipt into rebates for 2 different names, addresses etc. Don't purchase more then 5 on one receipt.

On downloaded software, I just made up addresses in California for SHIP TO address.
Didin't make any difference as they weren't shipping anything. Make sure that you ONLY have downloaded software on the order! No fillers that they will have to ship.

Make sure your rebates for different addresses have a different email. Print out submitted rebates so you can keep track of what went where.

If you're buying a phone and the software (download version) on the same order (in order to use the $25 off $75), how is it possible to save tax? It's not, right? You can't really change the shipping address for just one of the two items on the order.


i think the "invalid" rebate thing will be fixed on its own within a coulpe of days. However, I didn't want to wait, so I chatted with a rebate reb, and he took care of it quickly.

After long discussion I asked them to remove the $30 coupon so they can release my order. I now have two links in my email to download softwares. Is this correct? Or should I be receiving software CDs in mail?

If you purchased software to be downloaded then that's all you will receive.

If you purchased CD software--different Item # then you will receive a shipment.
Your confirmation email should have download links for all the software you purchased if it's download software.

You might have been able to cancel your order and then place new order and put another item on it and it might have gone through. You would have had to pay sales tax.

U will still come out FREE after Easy Rebate so not a big deal.

Links to fill out Rebate is in your email too. Make sure you fill it out correctly and stay within the Qty limits.

You should be able to use them for sure. If at all you happen to place two orders in same month with two such coupons then the first 5 digits of the coupon cannot be same. In that case, you might have to do the second checkout as a guest account.

You can buy them on eBay. They used to sell coupons delivered to your email. Now I see only paper coupons.

Well I mean...besides buying them from ejunkie....when does Staples send these coupons out to customers? Is it for premium members? Newspaper or mail offers? How do we get these coupons "free"?

I can't believe it. You let fly with dripping, sarcastic condescension and you don't even know what you're talking about. You do not get banned for using ejunkie purchased coupons. Staples obviously condones the coupon cottage industry, else they would reform their policies. You get banned by abusing coupons, regardless of their provenance. (For example, buying multiples of the same product on multiple orders.) Staples called HIM to tell him the coupon was inapplicable. So he had to talk to them about what to do. Please make sure you brain is in gear before engaging keyboard. Please see fig. 3B for a diagram.
