I purchased this play from BB. Exchanged it twice before it would work on all advertised media. They each played commercial DVDs, the issue was recognizing DVD-r, USB Flash drives and CDs with MP3 files. imo -purchase only through B&M to make exchanging more convenient.

I've got two of them. Both work great with DVD-rs, etc.

Costco members should shell out the extra $10 for the BDP-BX58 and get the Costco backup.
