With some cash back programs, that would effectively make the entire store 50% off if you count the cash back and Kohl's cash.

TofuVic 02-03-2012 01:26 PM

Thanks for posting the Kohls.com 30% off code. I'm hoping to get a 30% off coupon in the mail, as well.

Me too...it seems as though I always get 20%. :vomit:

johnnyma45 02-03-2012 02:02 PM

FYI, when you use Kohl's Cash during the 30% overlap period, the KC takes effect before the 30% does - so it doesn't quite save you as much. Something to consider when picking through those Arrow shirts...

drac 02-03-2012 02:26 PM

Does it work if you use purchase say...$120 worth of stuff, pay with $100 in GC, and only $20 on the Kohls Card? Or does it only take the 30% off the $20? I'm assuming it does work but just wanna be sure

No, As long as $100 is not kohls cash, % OFF will be applied on full purchase independant of payment procedure from my understanding..

As long as you pay something with your Kohls charge (even $1), the discount will be applied to your entire purchase.

I hate how kohls tries to claim everything in their store is already on sale. It's starting to feel like Marshall's.

I haven't tried that way online but I was denied once at store when I asked cashier to let me use gift card and rest on the Kohl's card. I was told to receive percent discount I have to pay full on Kohl's card.

It also happen to me, but next time they took it. So chances are 50-50.

Looking into buying a Dyson DC41, will the 30% off works with the Dyson and get cash back?

I agree, in-store its 50-50 depending on the cashier, but works online that way.

from what i've read its YMMV - depending on the associate
that is helping you.

kohls will price match and a max 15% discount on top of that.

I too am looking into a dyson dc33 - so i'm hoping I get lucky

If we use store credit, % off won't work. I tried once but not accepting both in same order.

scm74 02-04-2012 08:10 AM

With respect to in store, the Hillsborough, NJ store policy is that you have to put at least 50% of your purchase on the Kohl's card to use the Kohl's card discount. For example, if your total after discount is $100, you have to put at least $50 on the Kohl's card. It's not hard coded in the machines though, it's just something they enforce verbally as far as I can tell. I've had plenty of very easy cashiers not want to do the math just let me us up whatever merchandise credit I had and then put the rest on the card.

scm74 02-04-2012 08:14 AM

Also forgot to ask -- Is there any site that leaks Kohl's ads like they have for CVS/Rite Aid, etc.? My sister-in-law and I are buying my mother-in-law a Kitchen Aid mixer for Christmas/birthday gift. We were going to pull the trigger this weekend, but 30% off would be even sweeter if we knew if the Kitchen Aid would still be on sale then... There's probably no leak site, but figured it couldn't hurt to ask!

The only KitchenAid advertised in the flyer I have is the KitchenAid Pro 600 stand mixer (6QT) which will will be $429.99 before rebate. So if you buy it online at sale 429.99, subtract $129 for 30%, itll be $300.99 before tax/shipping surcharge. You'll get $60 in KC and then another $40 back from MIR. This sale is effective 2/15-2/26.

Also to note, there will be early bird specials on Wednesday 2/15.

It varies in-store, depending on how they see fit. My store applies the discount as long as some amount goes on the card.

Online, it should work with, even if the entire amount is placed on a store credit as long as the Kohl's Charge is the selected form of payment in the credit card section.

I don't think you'll have a problem, I bought a rug doctor carpet cleaner using a 30% coupon and got the kohls cash too. It shouldn't be a problem unless the coupon excludes dyson products.

this is getting confusing, so let me clarify some things.

the 30% discount is valid on everything (excluding gift cards/charity items). you get $10 kohls cash for every $50 spent.

you may not get the 30% discount on top of a price match. this is for sure via kohls.com and in-store it depends on the cashier.

NeedSomeFreebie 02-07-2012 08:29 AM

I don't know if they are actually trying to price match anybody(I didn't). I was referring to just using the coupon and earning Kohls cash.

Do you know if there's a carpet cleaner on sale during this next KC period?

Also, any recommendations would be appreciated. I usually rent the Dirt Doctor from Wal-Mart. I can't imagine owning one of those, because it's so hard for me to haul upstairs. So, how do the smaller models compare to this? An alternative would be to continue renting and to purchase a Spot Bot (or something similar).

Yeah, I know it's sold there. That's why I said I couldn't imagine owning one - those things are giant/heavy. I'd probably rent them more often if they weren't so difficult to take upstairs.

FWIW-
I purchased the Dyson 25 this weekend, price-matched to Fry's for $279. Minus the 15% off Kohls coupon, and got KC.
I also purchased another $20 item.

My total was $276 including tax, and I received $50 in KC.

Hey guys,

Looking to buy some bar stools from Kohls but im a newb in terms of the Kohls charge thing.

So the 15th seems like a great day to buy the bar stools. I havent applied for the kohls card yet but would I be able to get the 30% AND the first time signup discount on top of it? I believe its 15% or 20%.

My folks gave me a card with store credit on it as well. It would more than cover the cost of the bar stools. Can any Kohls experts chime in on what would be the cheapest way to buy these bar stools?

Thanks in advance!

FYI: Kohl's Cash will still scan up to two days after the expiration date without issue. Also, this is YMMV, but expired KC may be accepted depending on your store manager's policies.

How often does Kohl's have a 30% coupon period running concurrently with their cash card promo reward period? Thinking about making a large purchase and it might be worthwhile to wait if it's not too long

Historically for the last couple of months it runs concurrently for the first five days of the 30%.

agree, even with $10KC/$50 purchase.

So I have to rebuy almost everything after $10KC/$50 ended but still with 30% off, except one item which ran out of size. It seems that the best time to buy will be the last two days of 30% period when $10KC/$50 has ended, although you run the risk that not all sizes will be available.
