Generally lacrosse but that's debatable.

No charger in my store pack. Just the batteries. Naperville IL.

They had the packages without the charger as well, I liked the idea of having multiple chargers that I can keep in different rooms.

yenner 02-24-2012 01:32 PM

19.99 in my costco last week.

Adebesi 02-24-2012 01:44 PM

I've been really happy with this LaCrosse

http://www.amazon.com/Crosse-Tech...839&sr=8-1

bullgates 02-24-2012 01:46 PM

We have 2 MAHA's and we love them. Glad I cleared out my circuitcity when they closed them out for $4 a 10 pack on AA and AAA's.

eVil 02-24-2012 01:59 PM

So, how good of a clearance price is this? There's no indication of what the regular price was. If it was $19.99, I hardly think it's worth getting that excited about 10% off.

cwing 02-24-2012 02:13 PM

Lacrosse is highly a highly recommended battery charger. I will need to check out my Costco and get a couple packs. Long live Sanyo Eneloops!

superflyonwall 02-24-2012 02:15 PM

Regular price was 19.97 or 19.99...the 12 AAA seems more popular since you get 2 more batts than AA size...

I bought the AAA at 19.97 or so a while back and haven't seen Eneloops at my Costco lately.

Also, a "deal" price posted on slickdeals tends to be about $2/battery for good slow-discharge batteries.

1.4975/AAA is probably the lowest it has ever been so it's more than 10% off compared to what most people pay in general, especially for folks without a Costco membership.

My one big gripe about the LaCrosse is that if the battery is totally drained it will give an error reading instead of charging it. I still keep a dumb charger around just to give a dead battery enough juice so the LaCrosse will recognize it.

If someone knows a better workaround let me know.

How often does that happen? And what kind of device is it? I've never had a device completely drain the batteries.

brimorga 02-24-2012 02:21 PM

Went to the Coleman Santa Clara Costco last weekend and they had NO Eneloops anymore. I hope Costco isn't eliminating these. They were there for months, and now that I need more AAA, they are gone.

I thought that as well until I had to get my wife one. :)

ninensei 02-24-2012 02:46 PM

I was in the Plano (off 75) Costco earlier this week and looked specifically for these. None to be found.

bjamm 02-24-2012 02:57 PM

Got 2 packs today at Rockwall, TX costco. 17.97 for 10AA or there is a separate one with 12 AAA batteries for same price. These are the NEW 1500 Cycle batteries. Excellent as Amazon is usually 9-12 for 4pk.

Not often. Would guess maybe 1 out of every 20-30 recharges. It's happened with the Duracell brand rechargeable batteries. Usually in Wii controllers.

Agreed, have owned the C9000 for a couple years, and it is great. Very simple to use. I wouldn't go near the Lacrosse with all the reports of them melting.

bondiablo 02-24-2012 08:05 PM

The LaCrosse and Maha chargers others have mentioned are great but if you're looking for something a little cheaper and more portable these are also excellent chargers. The chargers included with eneloop batteries are junk.

Thanks, I thought that might be the case. I know they don't really get a lot cheaper than this, so if you need them now, then why not. Just maybe doesn't merit the typical SD mentality of buy now think later.. ;)

pein547 02-24-2012 09:23 PM

awsome deal, in 4 1 , thank you very much

ozmotion 02-24-2012 09:33 PM

I think lacrosse chargers are good for reconditioning and all that.. but why cant someone make some jumbo charging unit that does like 20 at a time??

Here are a couple that do 10 and 12 batteries at a time. Don't know how good any of these are though.

As long as you have one battery with voltage, it is no problem to trick the LaCrosse into charging.

1. Put a working battery in the charger and the 'dead' one in the next charging slot over.
2. Take a paperclip and 'jump' the connection between the positive (+) tips of the two batteries (while they are on the charger).
3. Hold the paperclip there until the charger starts charging the battery (maybe 5 seconds).
4. Remove the paperclip.

At this point, I usually switch to discharge/recharge mode.

do you have costco item number?

still waiting for that to creep below $30

bzyrice 02-27-2012 07:47 PM

There were 2 sets of batteries at my local costco. some were 19.99 some were 17.97. Not sure what the difference was between the 2. They only had AA left at the 17.97.. The product number on the packaging was different, but everything else seemed to be the same.. also picked up some AAA at the 19.99 price because I needed them ..

gonna shop for a good charger next!

Thanks for posting!

sffire 02-28-2012 06:11 AM

No eneloop batteries in San Francisco

595296 for the AA battery.

There are about 24 packs left in the Montebello, CA Costco.

Cookie21 03-05-2012 08:01 PM

got a couple AAs :) / no AAAs :(

RockyMtnMama 03-05-2012 08:19 PM

These batteries are excellent for flash photography! I'm a wedding photographer and wish I could jump on this deal. My husband and I fight over the 4 sets of eneloop batteries that we own, even though we have bags of other brands of batteries. They hold a charge, last a long time, and are just flat out reliable.

I have an Energizer charger that holds 16 batteries. I use it when I'm in a hurry to charge a ton, and for my cheap batteries, but the Lacrosse is my charger of choice. Since I only have two of them, I either need to spend all week switching out batteries, or use the Energizer for my backup batteries and the good charger for my Eneloops.
