Hello this is just letting those people that make use of ShopDiscover's Cashback program that tomorrow 3/17/2012 (St Patricks Day) Discover runs a promo for additional 2% Cashback on all ShopDiscover purchases with no caps. 3/17/2012 ONLY

A thread regarding applying that to Apple Store's 5% + Bonus 2% = 7% Cashback:

Feel free to list other stores if you like.

Other Stores for example:

Footlocker 10% Cashback +2 % = 12%
Nike 10% Cashback +2 % = 12%
Tigerdirect 5% + 2% = 7%
VisionDirect 15%+2% = 17%
Target 5% + 2% = 7%

I talk to CSR and you have to sign up for the 1 day 2% Cashback bonus by phone:

You just need to call 1-800-DISCOVER (1-800-347-2683) to register your card.

I'm sure there are creative individuals that figure out how to apply the extra 2% to any of the listed ShopDiscover Co. Hopefully I placed this in the right forum.

Cool, thanks for the heads up.. I made a deposit on a cruise for 5 people this summer and my remaining balance is $2500. I'm already getting 5% cash back, so hopefully it will stack with this 2%. I'll try to post the remaining payment tomorrow.

HP Home 5% Cashback Bonus, does that mean i will get 7% back tomorrow only by calling in ?

I just called the Phoenix, AZ center, and was told that it is only 2% on items that are not otherwise getting a bonus cashback. So, shopdiscover purchases will not be getting this, and neither will be purchases in the 5% bonus categories. :(

On previous Discover promotions, the 2% was on top of the 5% for categories or ShopDiscover, and people on FW are being told that for this promotion. I'm guessing the person you talked to was wrong.

I have called about several Discover Card promotions listed on this website and I have yet to qualify for any of them. I opened the card about a year ago. I spend a pretty decent amount each month on the card as well.

Anyone have any clue why I never qualify? It seems like most people applying are not having any trouble getting them. Could it be the fact that I don't carry a balance? Or are people spending several thousand on these cards a month?

Does anyone know how to confirm this on online account page for the enrollment after it's done? I used the live chat, and I was told for the enrollment, but there is no proof/confirmation

I think it is because you do use it. they are going for the people who don't charge every month on the card.

That does make sense. It actually crossed my mind after I made the post.

I'd be interested if that really is the reason. I would probably limit some of my use.

Got $1500 Gas Station Gift Cards. 5% + 2% plus 25% bonus for Staples Gift Cards since Shop at Staples for Rebate Deals Regularly. Net cash back for me is 9% with $135 Staples Gift Cards! -:)

Shopdiscover page I see for Staples says:

Offer not valid on gift certificate purchases

But that works for gift cards.. thought they mean same thing.

is this just for purchases on 3/17?

5% is online only.
