How do we know which card was synced to the offer?

I was about to ask the same question. I linked a card last year, but I forgot which one did I use...

If you preview the app, it shows something on the right that says something about offers on my card. Perhaps it shows up there? I gotta make a few more fb accounts first :) Damn the twitter ones were much faster!

I think you can only add 1 offer to your card either facebook offer or twitter offer.

I could easily add to to my facebook but when i went to twitter and tried to add the offer it said u are already enrolled.

Then I tried with another amex card i have.. first i tweeted in this offer and received confirmation. Then i went to facebook to add the offer it said that u have already staples offer in your card so couldn;t add it....

Anyways will know for sure after making purchases whether double dip would be there for this offer..

Hmm. I syncd with Facebook and that worked fine. Then I syncd with Twitter using another Amex card and a different email address from the one I sync with Facebook. Both appeared to have worked.

Ya, that will work. But you cannot sync same amex card for both offers. Getting $20 credit by $50 purchase, $10 - facebook, $10- twitter.

Amex sync sytem is suck. There is no way u can update ur card once u sync.

How about calling Amex? Does that work? No clue.

You can buy a Visa gift card from Staples.com. Then you can use that anywhere, not just Staples.

Amex also has "Get $5 Back When You Spend $5 Or More" @ RedBox. I don't use redbox but for those who do, this might be a good deal.

That's not true. They can remove a card for you and then you can re-Sync it with a different account. They did it for me in the past when I contacted customer service online. The process took something like 24 or 48 hours. It might go faster if you give them a call (I would call the number on the back of your credit card since there are dozens of numbers for AMEX).

How often do you get back 4% CB through UR without checking using a Chase card? I've used Gift Cards and other cards before, sometimes it hits sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't, Chase won't help since they don't have an account # to track it down to :(

I bought $25 Shell gas gift card and $25 subway gift card.
Also, when I used the shell gas gift card, down the block from the Staples, I save an extra 10 cents per gallon of gas.
Now that's a slick Deal!!! :worship:

There is a fee of $4.95 for $50 visa gift card. $54.95-$10 = $44.95. ~ Only $5 savings.
Besides the visa gift card, they have other no fee gift cards, just look around...(Shell gas, Subway...)

With all these FAR software to buy from Staples, I will just buy the Staples GC and spend them instore immediately. I sync'ed 3 Amex cards so buying $150 worth of software will be easy since I just got my 20% staples app software coupon.

The failure rate is 5% for me. Yes, as you say Chase won't give you points if they don't see it on their card. But the higher cashback is worth the tiny risk for me.

Not for the same Amex card number. But if you have 2 different Amex numbers or 2 different Amex accounts, or more. It works just fine.

No you cant do that, its automated and will remove the credit unless you can convince the retailer to put the refund on a different card or source of payment

You can also sync your Amex card with Foursquare and get $2 back when you spend $2 or more at Redbox.

Linked my card and got confirmation of that, but no confirmation of $10 after making staples purchase yesterday.

The facebook way is mess up, didn't get confirmation after ordering. Sync other card with twitter and did get confirmation email.

I setup a new Twitter account today, tweeted #AmexStaples, placed Staples order for gift cards but got no confirming email. Did get the sync email. I noticed that Amex sent a reply for #AmexStaples enrollment after I had placed the Staples order. May have something to do with not getting an email confirmation for the Staples order. Will wait to see if I get the credit in the next 2-3 days and then contact Amex if I do not.

Can we do both Facebook and Twitter Staples promos? Is it a matter of completing one promo before activating the other?

Used to be able to triple dip all three. Looks like they removed double dips from FB and Twitter. I bet it is the same for foursquare. It seems only one credit per card regardless of what method you use. I haven't tested foursquare (if it exists) but it seems they fixed it on the backend on Amex. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I synced the staples offer about 3 days ago and i went to a staple yesterday and purchased a $50 shell gift card. I then instantly got a mail from American Express Facebook confirming my $10 saving :)

I tried several twitter account, and only the first one get the Staples credit. different card synced with each account, all had >$50 purchase. I guess they now limit one per member...

Ouch - wish I had read this before I just made 7 $50 transactions for GC purchases online. I haven't gotten an email confirming purchase from any of them yet....

Hmm, the Staples offer no longer shows up in my "on my card" list in the Facebook app, and I don't see the offer anywhere. I haven't used it. I'm pretty sure the WF offer stayed on my list until I used it.

Just wanted to let you and the thread know that I did 7 purchases of $50 Staples GC's on 7 different CC's (2 users) this afternoon around 4p.m. I received 6/7 you sync'd/you saved emails about 20 minutes ago. This was all via twitter registrations when the deal was available.

So I guess, if you sync'd, the deal should be active - and it is NOT 1 per person, at least it wasn't for me.

I just got an Amex, it hasn't even arrived yet. I'm having trouble keeping up with all these promos.

If you want to make doubly sure, do the equivalent Twitter offer by tweeting #AmexStaples. The confirmation message you get back on your @Connect page should be that "you've already enrolled in the #AmexStaples offer" if you already registered for the same offer thru Facebook.

Confirmed for me - I signed up for the Facebook offer, but it no longer appeared under my "Offers on Card." I just tweeted, and received the "You've already enrolled" message. If nothing else, I figure that gives me a good reason to call up amex if I don't get the statement credit.

I ordered a staples gift card on 3/30 and its still processing. usually my staples orders come in 2 days but this one says it won't even arrive until 4/19. I did receive my amex email saying i can expect a statement credit in 3-5 days but staples hasn't even charged me yet. Not sure why it takes so long for them to ship a gift card!

I ordered 2 gift cards on 3/29 and got them both via USPS yesterday. They leave themselves a long lead time I guess.

I just checked and the card synced via FB has the $10 credit showing with a post date of 4/1. The charge from Staples did not post until 3/30 for this gift card order. The Twitter linked Amex card has the $10 credit as well with 4/1. Charge posted on 3/30. Those are the gift cards I got yesterday. Should get the FB ones today I suppose.

After you tweeted - you shud get a confirmation in Twitter if u check the @connect.

I bought on Apr 3rd and after buying I opened a twitter acct and synced my Amex and twitted. I did not get any confirmation email as many claim - but I saw the $10 credit in my acct today effective Apr 5.

So you might want to wait for a day or two and see your acct - for me it was posted late but the effective date was soon after I bought.

No need.. Just make the purchase with the same AMEX card that you sync'd in twitter acct. That should do it.

If you have multiple items in the order to get over $50, sometimes staples splits them out in 2 or 3 separate packages. And the credit card is charged as 2 or 3 different splits. Though the combined total is $50, the individual charges are less than $50 each. Will I still get the $10 back in this case?

Or is it better to just order one item that is $50 or more worth?
