How much more $ a year do you spend on electricity for a 50-60" Plasma vs. LED? Anyone?

At 5 hours a day, about $10. Plasmas have gotten much more energy efficient. My 65" Panny is $32/yr at 5 hours a day according to the sticker.

I have two 51" Samsung plasma TV's and they only use 103 and 105 watts. The new plasmas are as energy efficient or better than most LED TV's out now. Shoot, I have a 1 year old 32" LCD that uses more electricity than both of the new Sammys.

Seriously? Wow. My 55" LED DLP is about 180w IIRC, and I read that a 60" LED LCD is about 230w.

This one is rated at 177w "energy saving mode". Seems pretty good to me.

$1299 at my stores, but there's a 60" Viera without 3D for $1000. Seems like a deal...

Same thing...you use the Best Buy website and check clearance items at your local store. This one was at the Almaden Valley store. TC-P60S30

Bought a 60S30 from BB about 3 weeks ago and it is one beautiful set.Got mine for $799 store display but was complete and had only 300 or so hours when I checked. Really loving this tv. Recommend if you can find one.
