The description/customer reviews says that it works for both. There is a piece to remove (what makes it work for the Razr) for the Maxx to fit.

Maxx HD Dock, Not Max HD Station

this is not to be confused with the "HD Station" Which has the 3 USB ports for Keyboard mouse etc....

The Vehicle Mount is very cheap as well. I ordered both as I just bought this phone and my wife will be getting it soon.

I'm confused.. is this for the upcoming Droid Razr Maxx HD? Or is it simply a dock that makes the Droid Razr/Maxx output in HD?

You should read the Amazon page, or the thread you just posted in.
