$229 Korean TVpad M311 On Sale now! Watch LIVE channels with no Monthly Fees!

(visit http://korean.tvpadzone.com/order.html for simple step by step instructions on how to purchase the TVpad on their official website, which is currently in Korean)

Earlier this year there was a deal on the chinese TVpad and it received excellent feedback and many issues that were speculated mostly never occurred (e.g. popular TVB/ATV channels going down, lack of customer support/firmware updates).

TVpad had since announced a Korean version of the TVpad and it's now officially on sale!

For those who don't know, the Korean TVpad, in short, gives you access to many local Korean channels live without any subscriptions or fees.

The official retail price per unit is $259. With the $30 off coupon code 17388010 you can receive a $30 discount for the price of $229 per unit!

Their official site is in Korean, and many in the past have had problems reading the Chinese TVpad website. For more information in English, you can check out this site [tvpadzone.com]:
http://korean.tvpadzone.com/index.html

This is their official website:
http://www.tvpad.info/

I am personally a user of the M121 Chinese TVpad and has been very pleased with the product so far (been a user for 9 months). Many were suspecting (myself included) that certain channels may potentially go down but after months of speculating all but one of their many apps are still working very well. The consistency and quality of the channels and the large number of selection of on-demand videos are definitely a pleasant surprise. Of course these are just my opinions.

Edit: There seems to be confusion about the version of TVpad discussed in this thread. The product discussed is the M311 Korean TVpad, so I removed the information regarding the Chinese TVpad (M120/121). Feel free to PM me for questions regarding those.

Some users are having difficulty making the purchase since the site is in Korean. Until TVpad comes out with an English version of the pages, you can visit: http://korean.tvpadzone.com/order.html for simple step by step instructions on how to buy the TVpad on their official website.

They are currently not taking any phone orders, but you can call (0082) 070-76885727 for customer service and product inquiry.

My Korean wife loves this, have to remember that shows are real time in Korea so early in the AM US times you get a blank screen on some channels. I wish there was more info on the unit, I'd luv to hook up a DVR.

i'm assuming you just hook up the unit to your TV (via HDMI) and it can wireless connectly to your router? how does this compare to Roku?

kevlar3d 05-28-2012 04:17 PM

Which Korea? Hopefully the good one, otherwise we might as well call this the propaganda pad.

I hope you were joking, because it's pretty obvious which Korea this TVpad is referring to.

I believe he is referring to the Chinese TVpads. Korean TVpads are not on Ebay yet since it was just released a very short time ago.

My 2 cents on Ebay.. while paypal is of course perfectly safe, noone has ever reported a payment problem with the TVpad website. On the other hand there will always be a tiny risk with product quality from Ebay merchants.

Yes I knew that I just wanted to see if he ever responded and I didn't figure he would.

I'm not sure if you are referring to using the TVpad on your tablet. You can do that by using Slingbox. The following guide may be of help:

If these are just android based, couldn't someone extract the APK from one which could be used on other android devices? No need to pay $230 then...

North Korea... It just loops "On Golden Pond" over and over... waste of money if you ask me.

People live in and fight to die for their world, very understandable.

ursus 05-28-2012 08:27 PM

As with the other thread here, a question for US users... did anyone try using it in US? Say on TWC?

onpoint 05-28-2012 11:10 PM

Does this stream live channel programming from the major networks? Not worried about dramas and such being "on demand", care more about seeing actual LIVE streams from Korean channels.. news, etc. Thanks.

Chingu808 05-29-2012 12:51 PM

I can d/l all the current drama episodes in 720P airing from MBC, SBS, KBS, & some cable channels. Better yet a lot of them are being fansub with english subtitles. So no need to get this item.

Thank you for the information! I was hoping it wouldn't require registration to make the purchase.

TVpad has confirmed that they will create an English version of the website before the end of the month.

Archer?

nickman777 05-29-2012 01:08 PM

TVpad is obviously a Chinese company. Why did they make a Korean version and selling it? Isn't this illegal.

attgig 05-29-2012 01:15 PM

so... if I'm undesrtanding correctly, it only streams live? can't on-demand shows?

thanks.

soupermaam 05-29-2012 05:41 PM

just got one for my dad in advance for father's day! he has been wanting to watch korean drama on the tv for a while.

imthehurleyboy 05-29-2012 09:53 PM

I was using MyTV service until I heard it was illegal. Is TVPad any different? If it's illegal, how do I know the whole service won't go down in a few months?

papabear220 06-01-2012 09:33 AM

Using TVpad is not illegal. TVpad is merely a medium that allows access to 3rd party Apps, similar to how our smartphones and tablets work. These particular Apps designed for TVpad by these 3rd party developers give you access to TV channels. Therefore TVpad is pretty much just another App-based device.

Anyone know if it is possible to install these Korean tvpad apps on my Chinese tvpad m121?

I don't think so.

chunli 06-09-2012 08:10 AM

Can one figure out a way to install these magical apps onto a laptop?

Jaydawg 06-09-2012 08:36 AM

Anyone know how well this works? I have a pretty fast cable connection around 7 mbps. Thinking of giving this a go if its faster than downloading and streaming to a laptop or tablet is not always an option. I would like to use a nice big TV where possible.

kenxu 06-22-2012 08:23 AM

Here is another promote code 12946615 for $30 off.

Dinan161 06-25-2012 09:00 PM

Does anyone own one of these? I'm on the fence because I'm worried the service will shut down at any point or my ISP will bad the IP due to copyright issues... Thoughts?

joon82 06-25-2012 09:09 PM

Hows image quality on these?

jimal75 07-28-2012 09:32 PM

its decent with hdmi. more clear than non-hdtv.

steven99 08-25-2012 06:09 PM

Does any store sell them in the San Gabriel Valley? Thanks.

Hi,

I wonder if anyone else gotten it. I got on locally, and I found that the remote control manual missing. or it doesn't include it? It is "supposed" to be a universal remote too. However, no manual on how to program or use the remote...

Does anyone have the same problem?

Thanks

aohus 08-26-2012 07:07 PM

video of it in action. looks like HD quality to me. if anyone can confirm it's outputting at 720p+ that'd be great.
