Where do I get the $/$$ off or %-off CVS coupons in many scenarios?

If you sign up your card on cvs.com, they may be emailed to you directly by CVS.
You can buy them on eBay
They are sometimes shared here (although "card-specific" shared coupons will beep "Not for Card" and are therefore YMMV)
Sometimes generous SDers share 13-digit (unique) coupons acquired from some of these sources (usually on a first-come, first-serve basis for regular posters)
They are sometimes mailed directly to you by CVS
Every once in awhile, they can be found in the newspaper (print/online)

Life Savers 6.25-7oz or sugar free 2.75oz, buy 1 get 2nd for $.01

I found a tear pad MQ yesterday at Kroger for $1/1 Life Savers 2.75-7.0 oz. peg bag or 13 oz. laydown bag, exp. 9/15. The shelf price for these is $2.37 at my store. Buy two, use two $1/1 MQs and get two bags for $0.38 after coupons. Not a bad deal. :)

Your profile is public. Next time exercise a little patience. They were creating the thread and 3 minutes later you're complaining and thumbing down because they hadn't posted the ad. It takes a lot of work to shoot and upload the ads.

Besides the fact, why would you thumbs down people who take the time to start and post these threads every week?? Like this week they were just going to start an empty thread, just for the heck of it?

Like Bailey said, these threads take a lot of work. Most of us have some semblance of a life, and acquiring, scanning, typing it all up and posting it obviously takes some time. So, I for one appreciate all the hard work.

OK. I did not know they do this every week. My bad. Patience it will be next time

Anyone know if the One-touch will be $9.99 again? The ad says save $10.

If it is, I'm planning on doing the bounty paper towel deal.

1 One touch - 9.99
1 12pk Bounty - 9.99

Total - 19.98
-use 4/20
- $10/1 one touch
- $1/1 bounty
= 4.99

Do it two more times = 14.97, get back 10 ECB

So, 4.97 for 36 rolls of Bounty, roughly $0.14/roll (before tax).

If it isn't 9.99, then I do only have 1 RC for the ultra touch and have to readjust my scenario.

mommy2princess 06-02-2012 08:29 PM

I think it will ring up as $9.99 again because regular price at my store is $19.99.

So, 4.97 for 36 rolls of Bounty, roughly $0.14/roll (before tax).

If it isn't 9.99, then I do only have 1 RC for the ultra touch and have to readjust my scenario.

oxymoronx 06-02-2012 09:29 PM

Thanks! Repped.

Crap, realized the q's I have are for bounty basics. I do have 2 non-inserts bounty q's (from packages of Charmin I think..that are $1/1 any bounty 6ct+). Still... 5.97/36 rolls is a good deal!

1 One touch - 9.99
1 12pk Bounty - 9.99

Total - 19.98
-use 4/20

I think one touch coupon expired on 5/29. Are there new ones out??

Have we ever thouroghly tested the 98% rule (or is cvs trying to teach us something)?

Nivea (any) $5 ECB wyb $10 (excludes clearance) Limit 1
body wash 16.9oz or body scrub 12oz $4.88
for Men facial care (excludes trial sizes and gift sets) $6.88
lotion 13.5oz or creme 6.8oz (excludes Good-Bye Cellulite and firming CoQ10) $6.88

2 bodywash's is $9.76. Do we know that it ONLY prints at 98%, or can 97.6% be close enough? Hmmmm...

On a previous PF deal ($7 ECB wyb $10), I was buying the Lash Boosting mascara, which was $9.99 at most stores. Went to one where it was only $9.79 and didn't even think about it before I bought it. Turns out $9.79 is NOT enough to trigger a $10 deal, so yeah, I think 98% is as low as you can go.

I do not think it will print. I can remember the deal but I was just a fraction of a % away from 98% and the ECB didnt print. It caught me off guard to b/c I had figured my transaction out with the prices for another store and the store I went to had slightly lower prices.

Has anyone figured out the lowest oop senario for this Nivea deal? I was thinking the same thing that the prices are configured so we have to go over 10 to get the 5ecb. TIA

well, lowest oop depends on what CRTs you have but how about:

4.88 Nivea Men's body wash
6.88 Nivea shave balm
subtotal 11.76
less 1 MQ off BW & 2.25 IP MQ off shave balm
subtotal 8.51
earn 5 ECB

3.51 net plus tax less prorata green bag tag value

Unfortunately, I don't think any of the men's stuff is beauty club eligible.

I did most of the matchups for this week in the WIKI but I am not good with links so if someone else wants to do the IPs ---;)

Anyway there are some nice IPs for Nivea Men's stuff. I suggest printing NOW -- looks like they were just added (maybe because of Father's day ?)

Nivea for Men After Shave Balms, 3.3 oz, $2.25/1 Print [couponnetwork.com]
Nivea for Men Energy After Shave Splash 3.3 oz, $2.25/1 or $2.50/1 (FB) Print [couponnetwork.com]
Nivea for Men Face Care Moisturizer, 0.3-2.5 oz, $2.25/1 Print [couponnetwork.com]

Maybelline early turn-on question

Could someone with guru knowledge tell me if this will work?

Maybelline is offering buy $10 get $3 ECB week of 6/3 and 6/10 limit one each week. It is definitely limit one 6/3 as I show limit met on my current receipt. My stores turn on early Sat evening and to utilize the current 5/20 I would like to include the new 6/10 Maybelline into my scenario. Will the new week's ECB print? No items are on sale either week so price will not enter into the equation. TIA and will rep for knowledgable answer--no guesses please as I can guess it should work, but would love to avoid having a manual print.

staxin 06-09-2012 05:59 AM

for the Nivea deal, how about just getting 2 BW and a tin?

cw_b 06-09-2012 06:04 AM

On the theory side, when new sale is loaded, unless there is a conflict (this week's price is better), the new ECB offers should also be loaded.
Practically, if you remember the offer of buy 5 Honest Tea get 1ECB (maybe last year), it was offered several weeks in a row and on Saturdays purchases counted towards next week.
Though sometimes this kind of sale is implemented as a monthly deal with a combined limit. Whatever the case, I think that there will be no problems.

Assuming here...
from the ad: "Oral-B 3D White Action, Vitality or ProHealth power toothbrush 1ct or refills 3pk (excludes clearance) (no price) $10 ECB Limit 2"

So possibly a doubledip depending on store(though is that against the rules? I'd never attempt it so I have no idea!), or the 24.99 is a better sales price for a good item?

I wish we had a killer coupon, cause I love this TB myself.

Well golly thanks for the info. Won't let me rep ya again on such short notice.

A few things I noticed tonight:
Maybelline deal did work just fine, but I grabbed an eye shadow that rang up 2.39 but did not indicate clearance at the scanner. I quickly changed it out for a full price item to avoid not making the $10, but will try tomorrow and see if it counts toward the deal.

Wet n wild nail polish was ringing up B1g50% but the register was accepting coupons on the regular price. In other words, I bought 6 polish at .99 = 5.94 but then it showed (3) .50 off sales price but accepted (6) $1 qs although it did prompt the cashier to adjust the last q to .94 for a small MM. Have no idea if this will repeat.

Bought the Bic Soleil razor that was 7.79 last week after new ad was turned on. It rang up 8.49 since it is on sale this week b1g50%. In my head 7.79 is better deal than 8.49 although not if buying two, but I only had one. First time I have encountered this. No ECB printed but no problem getting a manual print.

Just wanted to report some new weirdness that I have noticed. Kinda made me feel like I was wagging and not cvsing.

cw_b 06-09-2012 08:16 PM

The logic of the cheaper item used to determine which sale is in priority is by sets. I can still remember one case of Revlon deal: the sale of that week was BOGO50%, and the sale of next week was $6.99 get $6ECB. I had to pick up items >= 10.49 (6.99*1.5) in order to make it work. I learned that rule in a hard way because the first time I picked up something less than that, so the price was not correct and no ECB printed.

The Maybelline eye shadows that are $2.39 definitely do not apply to the Maybelline ECB deal. I made the mistake of not scanning every single color I bought last night, then had to go back today to finish the deal (for last week).

None of this is "new" weirdness, it's all been part of CVS's normal weirdness for a long time now (at least the 4 years I've been shopping there). :) BOGO/BOGO50%/B2G1/etc. items will always accept coupons on the regular price. And as has been stated, if something is on sale for BOGO50% one week, it is considered a better price if (regular price)*1.5/2 is less than the sale price (so since $8.49*1.5/2 < $7.79, the $8.49 price wins out, even if you only buy one).

Need to thanks all you guys for teaching me new things even though I have been CVSing for several years. Guess I just have never encountered these situations before. Or, which is the most probable thing, it has all been mentioned before but when reading 10-12 threads every week to be the best SDer I can be, minor details get lost in the ever-changing grocery/drugstore game.

Now back to the deals and love this forum!

I bought 2 Nivea body washes and 1 Nivea tin and did NOT get the ECB. At the bottom of my receipt it says: "Nivea Spend 10 Get 5 EB Amount Toward this Reward $9.76 Amount Needed to Earn Reward $0.24"

So -- the Tins aren't counting. However, they did a manual print for me because the ad does say "any Nivea" and only features the three items on sale - it doesn't say "on these three items".

Can you use the $4 off $20 if your total is just $19.98?

Sounds like you are new to CVS. Welcome aboard!
I'd recommend you go to the wiki and check out the CVS FAQ link near the top. The answer to your question is there, and it explains many other mysteries of CVS that you didn't even know you didn't know.

Good luck and happy shopping!

SmartNotCheap 06-10-2012 10:27 AM

Let me start by saying my store accepts the expired $5/$20 CVS q that was in the online papers last week. I used one of those in the following transaction. If your store happens to take them too, you could do this:

2 Nivea Men's Face Care products @ $6.88 ea
1 Schick Hydro 5 Razor @ $8.99

Total = $22.75
Less:
$5.00 - IP $5/20
$4.50 - IP on Nivea 2 qs for $2.25/1
$4.00 - 6/10 insert $4/1 Hydro 5

Free Olay?

Hi all! I'd like to buy the Olay ProX Cleansing System & get the other item free (as advertised on pg 9) - but can anyone help? It says "up to $19.99 value" in the box, but with the Olay ProX Exfoliating Cleanser pictured next to it - it's $20 in all my stores. Do you guys know how this will ring up with that 1 cent differential? It's pictured, so I figure it should be an eligible item...but I'm confused with the "up to" clause. Thanks!

So -- the Tins aren't counting. However, they did a manual print for me because the ad does say "any Nivea" and only features the three items on sale - it doesn't say "on these three items".

What is the cost of Nivea tin?

It did beep, but because it was a $10 CRT. Required managers key to go through. $5/$20 did not beep.

Some stores allow usuage of a generic $/$$ with a specific $/$$ as long as the maximum threshold is met. In this case, generic $5/$20 was used with $10/$30 Gillette shave purchase on a purchase that was $30 (which is the maximum purchase threshold here to be met for $10/$30). Ask your store if they allow it.

I am new here and have a question regarding ECB. I used ECB to buy a $10 item price but now I want to return it, I still have the receipt. What will CVS give me? Store credit? ECB? or nothing? Thanks.

normally they give it back to you on a money card, sort of like GC but I don't think you can cash it out under $10 (which you can do with GCs in CA, not sure if everywhere)

Used to be automatic but some shift mgrs have given me grief, so go when SM is on duty

you can use the b3g1 hallmark CRT, but only need 3 for the deal so it wouldn't reduce your cost, but would help fill a x/xx
I have had a few occasions where nice clerk gave me the most expensive card free, so if yoiu bought 3 x .99 cards and one fo 3.49, and the last one was free it would reduce your Hallmark cost-however highly highly YMMV

Store credit. Keep in mind, though, if you got an ECB for buying the $10 item, the store has the right to expect it back.

This deal (the razor) although seems legit to me was a HUGE problen at my cvs , due to the bonus packs . They said the q PG came up exceeds limit. then started telling me I couldn't use it on the bonus packs that she thought where $20.00 they rang up 9.99 just wouldn't listen that was purchasing the 4 as required., and the limit on the Q was up to $13.99

I think I understand now that the message exceed limit meant she needed approval. The manager wouldn't approve it.

Just a heads up !

Any coupon over $10 will exceed any cashiers limit. Only managers can key in over $10, or are supposed to (several of my cashiers know the manager code, lol).

Last month we all had problems with the Schick $10.50 (bogo coupons), this month its going to be the $10+ gillette items.

Could be YMMV, but I would definately see the bonus pack as a refill size, therefore the coupon should be accepted. It is a little bit of a problem though, when they beep.

Also sounds like you may have had a nazi cashier, and they were just going to look for anything to shoot you down. Sorry you had problems.

Can i buy 3 gillette bonus packs for $9.99 , and use $10/$30 (CRT) , BOGO buy 4 cts razor free.
The trx will look like :
3 x 9.98 gillette bonus packs = 29.97
- $10/$30
- $9.99 (BOGO - razor free with 4cts )
- $2.00 (CVS CRT for $2/1 gillette fusion )
----------------
$7.99

Pay $7.99 + tax, get $4 ECB back
Net cost $4 for 3 razor, 12 cts

Transaction #1
Charmin 16pk Double Roll 9.99
Charmin 16pk Double Roll 9.99
2 x .25 Charmin MQs
$5/$20 coupon
= 14.48

Transaction #2
Charmin 16pk Double Roll 9.99
Accu Check Nano 9.99
1 x .25 Charmin MQs
$5/$20 coupon
= 14.73

Total
Pay $29.21, Receive $19.99 back in ECB.
=$9.22 or about 19 cents/double roll or 10 cents/regular roll.
Make it juicier, MIR for $9.99 on the Accu Chek, making this a 77 cent MM.

I already sent in my Accu Check MIR but I think it said the rebate limit was "one per meter"? If so, wouldn't that mean unlimited MIRs for each meter purchased? I have never seen a MIR worded like this.

I thought it was regional because some stores only sell Hallmark & some only sell American Greetings. If you store sells Hallmark I would think this deal should work. Everytime its in the ad it works for me even if signs aren't posted.

I was really excited to get a CRT for $1.50 off bounty or charmin purchase of $5 or more this morning (exp 6/25) since it really sweetens this deal if we get this CRT every day this week. I already gave mine away but the package looked just like the little bonus sets with a razor, trial size shave gel, etc. They were hanging on a peg right next to the Gillette razors and had a regular shelf tag that said $19.99. So they must be a regular item. The package says "shave for 4 months."

The one at my store is locked up and labelled as razor not refills.
I used those as b1g1 gillette deal (6/3 pg) as the free razor.

Is the bounty paper towel for $10 ECB after you spend $30 a "great" or "ok" deal

I guess it depends on what you have to work with. I had 2 one-touch qs, as shown below, so I put that together with the $5/$20 from last week ip, did 3 transaction and wound up with only about $4 in 36 rolls. I think that's pretty great!

You have room for two $1/1 MQs. :)

Check your stores, saw two CVS locations today that had the new Revlon tearpads out (exp 9/30/12).

Gotta have them to use them, so I tend to only include insert qs in my scenarios, but if I could find them, yep, even bigger moneymaker

Have you tried this scenario yet? I'm wondering if the Revlon $3 coupon is coded as a $X/XX coupon. If it is, we will have problems using it with the $4/12 cosmetics CRT. TIA!

Can we use $3 revlon CRT on a purchase < $3. The coupon doesn't state that we have to buy minimum $3 revlon. It just says "any revlon purchase". I m wondering if i can use this CRT on revlon clearance stuff which is less than $3

If it is less than $3 it will beep they will look and see it says up to $3 and adjust the coupon down to the price of the item. But read the fine print, if it says no clearance than you are not suppose to use it on clearance.

-$3/1 MQ

actually it depends on CRT, only some of them will beep if they're more than the value of the item. Most will sail right thru

And it triggers the ECB?

qian 06-11-2012 06:45 PM

just realize I posted it in the wrong weekly thread. copied it over here. :D

received $3 off any Almay cosmetics CRT today. One cvs I went to had lots of cosmetics on clearance at 50-75% off . Bought liquid eyeliner pen , UPC 09978-82801 at $1.99. used $3 crt (beepless) and 50c off any Almay TP (found a long time ago), so $1.51 overage.

This is my tran.
Nano meter: $9.99
2 cases of Nestle 24 pack water: 2* $3.39
Almay eyeliner pen: $1.99
2 Stayfree Maxi 16 pads at 75% off: 2* 99c each
1 Stayfree Ultra thin 28 ct. at 75% off: $1.69

total $22.43

minus:
$4/20
$2/2 Nestle water peelie
3 $1 any stayfree mq (no beep)
$3 almay crt + 50c Mq

cost: $9.93+tax
paid with $10 EB
got back $9.99 EB for nano.

HTH

Not sure if I can turn in the $5 rebate for 2 stayfree products since the total cost would be under $5. does anyone know? might give it a try anyway .

But it does triggers ECBs on the bonus pack, so i wud assume it wud do so even on the styler, but do it at yor own risk

I can confirm the Proglide Styler rings up $9.99 and you get $4 in ECB. I always wanted to try this out, but it was too expensive. For $1 after ECB and $5/$20 (with free/cheap fillers), that's the perfect price for me.

I don't really know but the cashier thought I would need $50 but she tried it and it worked. Maybe bc it is $10 specifically on Gillette. :dontknow:

I don't know all the details, but someone posted on P&G's facebook page how unfair it was that she was told that P&G would honor this rebate and the other one (save more gas, time, money -- something like that) from any store, but now they were denying them. Again, I don't have any details, just saw that on their wall.

I have 2 cards in my household. The $10 on $30 Gillette has printed on both cards each day this week. I guess that means it's a generic...

I tried to do the "handle with 4 refills get a free razor deal" but my store said the handle & 4 cart is a razor, not cartridges. So I bought:

4 ct. Profusion cartridge @ $16.49 (I think that was the cents amt.)
1 3-in-1 Profusion trimmer @ $9.99 (many thanks to the poster who told us about that deal!)
1 handle w/ 4 refills for $9.99

My total was $36.47
Coupons = $5/$20 (ip - expired 6/9)
$10/$30 Gillette (I asked first they said "Okay if no beeps. There were none.)
$13.50 Buy cartridges get free razor coupon
$2.00 on Cartridges crt

Used a $5 EB + oop tax, got back $4 EB. Hubby should be all set!

ETA: I did mean the Gillette Fusion "ProGlide Styler" not "3-in-1 Profusion Trimmer." Sorry for any confusion!

If I wanted to use 2 coupons for 4 off of 20 and the gilette 10/30 crt would my total have to be 70 before coupons or 40?

I would totally jump on that scenario but the BOGO Q says excludes styler...

I used the styler to get to $30. She counted the razor handle and 4 cartridges as the free razor on the coupon.

Nothing I bought was $13.50. The cashier scanned the coupon and wrote in $13.50. That must be the max amount... I only had one q left so I can't be sure. I believe that handle and 4 cartridges is probably originally much more than the $9.99 sale price. Maybe that's why??

Someone reported about the trimmers ringing up at $9.99 yesterday. They certainly are! I bought 4 today (3 in a diff transaction with another $10/$30 and another $5/20) for gifts for the guys in the family. They are regularly $20.

ETA: I'm sorry. I just KEEP calling the Styler a Trimmer. I don't mean to add to the confusion!

How can she count the razor w/ refills as the free razor, that would require actually getting cartridges?
