Similar to mysearchbonus, you earn points to redeem for gift cards and other prizes. The "swag bucks" are awarded randomly though, but if you do a lot of searching(like me) it's not too bad of a deal. And the results come from google and ask.com.

No Referrals Please
 

Remember that referrals are not allowed on SlickDeals.net.

That includes asking for a referral, linking to a referral, requiring a referral for a trade/swap/, or anything else. However, I believe it is ok to contact someone and request a referral from and existing user. While there may not be specific benefit to the person requesting the referral, eventually the karma will balance out, and I know I have made special efforts to notify my referrals of swag codes to keep them interested in SB's.

This thread is to the SwagCodes. Remember no OT. And by OT we mean anything other than the code, and when the code expires. No thank you's, no posts saying you repped, not questions, etc. The reason we ask this is because people receive text messages on their phones when anything is posted in that thread. So it's annoying when you look down and you are all excited thinking there is a Swag code and you find it is just someone saying a code that has been expired, several hours after it was established in the thread as being expired.

Some people get more annoyed by it than others. I don't get the texts, so it doesn't bother me that much, but I think it is a good system and we should adhere to it.

Swag bucks and how to get them:

1. Searching. Try and search as you would use google or any other search engine. Some accounts have been suspended because they searched "unnaturally". While you may have an argument as to the subjective nature of an unnatural search, keep in mind that they set the rules and we are obliged to follow them. Usually in this situation they reinstate the account.

Winning SB's is somewhat unpredictable. People seem to have a good amount of success at 1a.m. eastern time. What most people find is that you can win once or twice per IP address. Your IP address comes from your ISP and you can't change it. In order to win multiple times in a day, some people do legitimate searches in the morning at home, then while getting coffee in the morning, then at work, then over wifi at the gym, etc. Keep in mind that Sb's has also suspended accounts seemingly for winning too many times.

Search terms DO NOT MATTER. People like posting what they searched for and that is fine, and it gives people ideas what to search for. For instance, Jeff posts that he won for "Random Search Word". Jennifer then does a search for "Random Search Word" and wins as well. It doesn't mean that RSW triggers a win, rather it was just time for both people to win. This has been confirmed through contact with SB's. Please consider that searching for RSW is probably better than searching for "sldfoiuwer" which isn't a word and could possibly trigger a suspension for unnatural searching.

2. Swag Codes: Swag codes are relased at the discretion of TSG (The Swag Guy). They can be found at different locations, i.e., the blog, twitter, face book, as well as within the store or with partner sites. Generally they are worth 1 SB, but I have seen them worth as much as 10 SB's on special occasions. Some codes are time restricted (expires in 1 hour), and some are redemption restricted (the first 500 people).

How much are swag bucks worth. It depends on what they are redeemed for. Most people redeem $5 Amazon gift cards for 45 450 SB's. So it breaks down to about 1.1 cents per SB.

Please consider that SB accounts are limited to 1 per household which essentially means one per IP address. That also includes certain types of work/school networks. In a situation where there has been a referral and the two accounts use the same IP address, the 2nd account is eliminated.

Tip: It's best to spread your searches throughout the day. Search in the morning, afternoon, and night. It's pretty rare to win Swag Bucks more than once within several hours. It does happen though. It's not to the point where it is considered random.

Keep in mind that there are other SB site/stores and the SB's won can only be used at that site. So if you earn SB's from a NY Giant's site, you can only redeem from that site. Keep in mind that prizes, while identical, e.g., $5 Amazon GC, may have a different redemption value across the sites, 45 at one site, and 60 at another. So keep that in mind before you start to earn.

How to enter codes:
Make sure you're signed in.
Click on "My Account" on the top right of the page.
On left side column it says "Enter your Swag Code" and a box below it.
Enter the code in the box and click "Gimme!"
After the code is entered your points should appear. It's that easy!

NOTE: Swag Codes are case sensitive. Also, make sure you don't have any extra spaces in the code.

the daily goals has been every day starting from June 18th. There's only one day left for this. that's why I did it, for the bonuses.

in the daily goal box, on the i, the last line says this: "Calendar will reset July 1, 2012 with new daily goal opportunities." I'm burnt out from the daily goals now, i don't know if i can keep going after July 1st.
