I'm having to RMA mine because it won't FTP video - you can only do it with Blue Iris which requires a computer to be on all the time. No go for me. Great images though, particularly at night.

Love these cameras, have 4 deployed, soon to be 6. With regards to motion detection and alerts, they work fine wirelessly. For watching live video, the image comes up much faster if the camera is on a wired connection. Fortunately I have an old-timey house with a true attic and crawl space, and I can run ethernet everywhere.

Can you FTP it to your own computer and try? Any log to check? I use Filezilla Server free. I just let it email to me. Easier that way.

The only way you can upload movies is to use a 3rd party application, like Blue Iris, which runs all the time on your computer.

It doesn't matter if you upload locally or via the Internet. Either way, you will need to use 3rd party software.
