Sweet.
Wraps up a birthday gift early  |
Really good price for a nice sized hardcover.
Win! Thanks for the heads up! Hope they don't botch the translation, localization, and editing :)
Must have. In for one.
In for a million! I'm glad they're finally translating this.
i wonder if there will be an ebook version of this for sale
Thanks. Picked this up.
Pre-ordered yesterday when it was $25 but at least qualified for free shipping.
This could make a good gift.
Does this come sealed? The reason I ask is I could preorder now and then gift or sell later if needed. No way it'll sell for less than $21 in the future if sealed. |
Awesome, I'm a huge Zelda fan. Picked one up, probably would've paid the $35 for one.
Man, they couldn't release this in December? Guess I'll have to buy it myself ;)
Thanks OP, rep'd

"Pre-order Price Guarantee! Order now and if the Amazon.com price decreases between your order time and the end of the day of the release date, you'll receive the lowest price. Here's how (restrictions apply)" So, you likely got it for $21 free shipping. I am going to have to order a $4 filler item with this with free shipping. |

Repped. My brother bought me the Japanese one from Japan. Cool to have both.
cool find
Dammit, why must you make me spend more money?
Thanks OP! In 4 1. Too bad Amazon's charging sales tax in more and more states now:

You made me an offer I can't refuse. Thanks! :woot:
In for one for now.
Yep. In for one.
At this price, it's just too cool to pass up. |
awesome. thanks!
Thanks for the heads up. I saw the announcement yesterday, but Amazon didn't have it up. Or at least I couldn't find it. Even now when I search it doesn't pop up, so I appreciate the link.
For those who don't know, this was published in Japan late last year (I think) and contains all sorts of stuff, including the complete, official Zelda timeline. For years Nintendo has said that they knew how every game fit together and with this book they finally proved it. Quote:

I usually dont post deals here so I am not to sure how it works, how do you get this to the FP. Maybe a Zelda book not considered FP material?
@ ceril :
usually it takes a sacrifice of a small child / animal to please the FP gods. but seriously, upvotes usually propel it to the top. so people thumbs up this deal if you want it to sell out fast! |

in just 1 day, Hyrule Historia is the #1 best selling book on all of Amazon |
FP it! In 4 1!!!
"It's dangerous to go alone...take this:" A Rep!!! |
It's passed Fifty Shades of Grey to take the #1 spot on Amazon's bestseller list
By far one of the best game franchises ever...Mario and Sonic have nothing on Link and Zelda. +1

I see that the publication date is January 29, 2013. Does that mean that we'll it sometime after that date?
and...geeks.com just posted that this book has ousted 50 Shades of Old Age from the top sales spot on Amazon :)
My wallet hates you this week slickdeals.... Thanks and repped.
Pre-ordered 2! One for myself and one to use as a giveaway. =)
I heard about this coming out in english on Kotaku last night, and at this price I can't resist! Repped!
I have never pre-ordered anything. Do I have to enter the shipping address now even if it's going to ship next year? I'm not sure I will be in the same address at the time, or in you're Amazon experience, is there an easy way to change the shipping address after the purchase is made?
You can change the shipping address and payment method almost up to the day they ship. Plus, when you pre-order, they guarantee that if the price goes down after you place that pre-order, you'll pay the lower price, too.
Ordered this just cause I love Zelda

No apology necessary--it's always better to ask questions :) |
what's a good item for filler?
I'm torn as to whether to buy this or not, simply out of spite because of the implications the timeline they haphazardly came up with has on A Link to the Past...
It was just a poor decision on their part to say that Links Awakening and A Link to the Past take place in a timeline where Link "failed" in Ocarina of Time. It's like why doesn't every "game" have a timeline where the hero was defeated, such as in Skyward Sword. You'll understand what I mean when you read it. They should have left that ambiguous. So if Link failed in Ocarina of Time which leads to the Link to the Past and other games, why doesn't he supposedly fail again? Why only then? Oh that's right, because it's the only way they could explain the story. Don't get me wrong, I love the Zelda games, and I think Link to the Past is one of the few games I ever got 100% of every single thing on. Whatever, enough ranting, time to go put in a pre-order :D |
I added amazon european link to 1st post £22.09 bit high IMO

I hope that that is not the real cover for the book. I'd rather it look more like the Japanese version with shiny gold-plated text and no pictures on the cover. :P
Thanks OP. really neat buy. i would love to read this, because i was obsessed with Ocarina of Time

I will probably cancel a few days before release if we find out thats the real cover. |
Zomg, amazing.

Gonna necro this thread, sorry!
Got mine today and it was in awful condition. Box was fine, so it clearly wasn't damaged during shipping. All 4 corners on the top and 3 of them on the back were badly dented. The bottom side of the front also had a big dent in the middle. Seeing as how I kind of bought this as a collectible, I'm returning to Amazon and requesting a new one, in better condition. Anyone else who got their pre-order have issues with the condition of the book? |
Tempting. Was a huge Zelda fan since NES days. But barely any played after Ocarina of Time. Seems like a cool game collectors item for only $20.
they're $20.58 now. tempting...
