Don't get confused with the MIR wording. You can order ONE of each item and receive $90 in rebate. FYI, I am already approved for the earlier MIRs of these products with 4myrebate.com.

When you check-out these 3 items, you will have a grand total of $87.07 ($29.99+$29.99+$19.99+$7.10) but you will receive $90 back in MIRs. In effect, it is a ~ $3 MM.

Thanks TDMVP73.. I was really impressed with the quality of these products while making money on the process.. It is highly possible that TD might correct the price on the backpack to $29.99 by sometime early tomorrow morning. Hence, I composed this post as soon as I saw the deal was online so that fellow SDers would have it as a MM deal. But I re-iterate once again: real credit should go to you for giving heads-up on this deal few days back.

Haha, it's fine. It's not all about who posts what first, it's about alerting the community to a good deal. :)

Thanks for giving me credit, that was a stand-up thing to do!

And I definitely agree with you, TD will most likely increase the backpack price to $29.99 tomorrow, but it'll probably be sold out by then anyways.

The reason it's $19.99 is because it was featured on one of their weekly e-mails. I guess they forgot to adjust the price back for the start of the new rebate.

bonapartist 09-08-2012 09:58 PM

The rebate website says "no offer found matching that offer code," what's up?

Great deal if it works...

spam 09-08-2012 09:58 PM

Any chance TD get sneaky and says shipping not part of rebate?

Those rebates valid starts tomorrow tho. It's still 10pm PDT right now. Will they still accept it? And also, can they deny the rebate if one already claim rebates from August deal?

How does shipping play a part here.. Regardless of how much you for these products, you will receive $30 for each product. So, in effect, you make $3 after accounting for shipping :)

TD made a similar pricing error with these backpacks earlier, but corrected them the next morning. I bought the backpack then for $19.99 but I am already approved for the $30 MIR.

The orders are as per EST. The earlier MIRs on these products had different offer numbers and since this rebate has a different offer number, you should be fine if you order them again.

I ordered at 11:33 PM CST and it was fine.

All of the rebates showed on the product pages at 12:01 AM EST.

NOTE: The rebates have not yet updated on the site where you submit them (4myrebate.com). They will probably be live and ready to submit by mid-day tomorrow.

PossumLodge 09-08-2012 10:33 PM

Not threadcrapping. Just making folks aware of what they'll likely encounter. One thing consistent about TD: they've been stealing customers' money for a decade. 4myrebate has a BBB F rating.

mky 09-08-2012 10:34 PM

The rebate form hasn't yet been loaded (onto www.4myrebate.com) -- so we can't see the layout of the rebate that shows the "maximum number of claims" permitted under the rebate offer. I expect the form to say 3 claims are permitted when the form is loaded (1 claim for each of the 3 bags). But is it beyond the realm of possibility that the form might say 1 claim instead of 3 (so that we could submit any 1 of 3 bags but not all 3)? I have experience doing Tiger rebates but mostly with single product rebate offers -- rather than a menu of products under the same offer number.

The last TigerDirect deal I posted involved a multi-item Targus rebate.

You can look at it, and input bogus information, just to see what I mean.
REBATE LINK [4myrebate.com]

You were able to select which items you purchased and the total rebate was adjusted accordingly. This one will be no different. The total payout (if you ordered all 3 bags), will be $90.

It is a maximum of 1 claim per item on the offer.

ddhunter 09-08-2012 10:39 PM

And because of the stupid people mentioned in the previous post, any and every rebate center will always have an F rating.

I have done many rebates with this rebate center. They process your submission quickly usually within a couple weeks of mailing and send you an e-mail, they also scan everything they receive including the envelope and make it all available to you. I never had any issues.

CircuitCity had the same deal last-time but unlike TD, circuit city qualifies for 7% CB from b1gcrumbs

Both CC and TD seem to have the same cashback tiers. Do you know something special about how CC credits differently than TD? Put another way, did I order from the wrong vendor to my hoped-for 7%? Or did you just not notice that they are both listed as the same?

leavi24 09-08-2012 10:49 PM

In for a backpack. Btw any idea how much does the express rebate option cost? Is it deducted from the rebate check?

Yes, you can. It's a different Rebate Offer #, so it's not an issue.

I did the one's last time as well. In fact, I sent in all 3 (+ the 1 Inland Rebate) on August 25th, and all 4 rebates were just approved and will probably be sent out next week.

I chose regular rebate processing.

pelo 09-08-2012 10:51 PM

The rebate clearly states "Limit One (1) rebate per qualifying rebate offer, per person, billing address, company, household and receipt/invoice/packing slip during the eligibility period, except were prohibited by law."

I do not think you can apply for all products, as all of them have the same rebate offer, and you can apply to only ONE rebate offer.

CC is TD. TD bought the name in CC's bankruptcy fire sale in an attempt to fool consumers. There is zero difference.

It is 10% of your rebate amount.. I have done $1k of rebates with 4myrebate.com with no hassle whatsoever using the Basic service.

Infact, 4myrebate.com processes the MIR applications very quickly (probably 2 weeks or so). it's just that the AMEX reward card takes some time for processing and shipment.

Yes, it is 1 rebate per item on the qualifying offer.

Each item has a maximum of 1 on the offer.

Usually you go for the vendor where you are NOT charged tax, now if you aren't charged tax from either TD or CC, you go with whichever offers most CB

for me I go with CC since I don't have to pay tax, and I get 5% from discover

If you are using another cashback site that offers the same CB for both sites, it shouldn't really matter

the cashback tiers aren't the same everywhere, search for "Tigerdirect" or "Circuitcity" here:

All the 3 items are FREE after $30 MIR for each of them. I would cancel the order and order all the 3 items in a single order as multiple orders will cost you additional money for shipping. You can place the new order now with all of the 3 items. BTW, you would have to call TD tomorrow to cancel the existing order.

REBATE LINK [4myrebate.com]

You were able to select which items you purchased and the total rebate was adjusted accordingly. This one will be no different. The total payout (if you ordered all 3 bags), will be $90.

It is a maximum of 1 claim per item on the offer.

If you haven't seen a 1 claim limit on these types of Tiger forms, I'll go with it. Do you do separate rebate mailings for each product or do you combine them?

discover has same % as well for TD and CC, but some other sites have a couple % difference so...

certain CB sites are better than others also, I have for example personally had some bad luck with m'r''rebates, so I tend to use it less, e*bates works really well for me on the other hand, but I pretty much only use it for newegg

Thanks ...ordered two as i wanted to make it completely free (adding 3 was making total to 97 something as i live in texas).

for this offer you will have to select 3 products when filing the rebate online, you then submit the UPC barcodes from each case on one form and attach one invoice with all 3 products on it

so just 1 claim, containing three products

You combine them all in one envelope.

Just make sure to submit the required materials for ALL 3 items.

1 copy of the invoice, all eligible UPCs, and the signed and dated rebate form.

you should check out the other sites and see where you don't have to pay tax:

www.circuitcity.com
www.compusa.com
www.tigerdirect.com
www.globalcomputer.com

unless you have to pay tax att all sites :P

Thanks. I was just trying to learn if someone knew something clever that I didn't. For example, perhaps CC treats these in the 7% category while TD treats them as something lower. (Cashback tiers are always vague and annoying.)
But if I understand correctly, no one has any inside info or experience from the past that suggests they something credit differently. So I'm crossing my fingers for 7% from TD. :)

Is anyone having problems on 4myrebate.com? I am searching for TD-6633, but I receive an error stating "No offer found matching that code."

Any help is appreciated!

Order the items now and wait for 4myrebate.com (the MIR processor) to upload the rebate file by sometime Sunday afternoon or so.

4myrebate.com (the MIR processor) usually uploads the rebate file on the later part of the day the offer starts (9/9). So wait till sometime Sunday afternoon and you should be good to go.

Discover CB is 5%, a couple of other CB sites like FW and MR give 4% which is not much less. Discover has the site maintenance on the night between Saturday and Sunday, these will go OOS by the time it's back up so waiting wouldn't be a good idea.

some companies do, like Office Depot, so I know what you're talking about

but from TD, CC etc. no, I haven't seen anything like that, and I doubt there is a large difference, if any, in how the companies process the cashback seeing it as the sites and companies are 100% identical

It's funny how a multi-billion dollar company can't even program their site such that you may access certain features when they are updating others

maybe they should have a separate cashback site altogether

No, you are fine as long as the items are still in stock.

The rebate offer, TD-6633 has not yet been posted on the 4myrebate site. It will go live sometime later today and you will be able to register for your rebate.

Rep'd...

Yes, if you go to the main homepage and sit there for a few minutes, you will usually see a pop-up for a $10 off $100 purchase coupon for signing up for their emails. I did it on two new Outlook addresses and received my coupons within 2 and a half days.

The coupons have an expiration date of 09/30/12, so they might come in handy on another FAR deal. There's still a Targus Bag MIR good through Sept. 30th on several different bags and a few wireless mice. None are currently in stock at TigerDirect.com, but I'll post if I see they come back in.

As for the router, here is the LINK [tigerdirect.com].

Since I had to have a $100 purchase, I used it as a filler.

$19.99 Backpack + $29.99 Bag + $29.99 Bag + $29.99 Router = $109.96 - $10 Coupon = $99.96 + $7.49 Shipping = $107.45

Total MIR: $30 + $30 + $30 + $20 = $110

Final Cost: $2.55 Money Maker, not including postage or additional cashback on $99.96. :)

I usually run into the same problem. I just call their cash back department and when they see that I indeed made a purchase through tigerdirect (on the statement) they just award me the cash back.

I just blame it on their site or my browser :). They have 0 problems with that.

Really? You must have good luck at getting nice CSRs. In the past, I have run into issues getting Discover cashback and they were very friendly and corrected it without a problem. Lately, they have been what I like to call "promotion nazis."

First, they check to see if you actually attempted a click-thru during the specified time. Second, I've had them request that I send them an invoice or an order confirmation email so they could verify whether or not I had used any other offers which may have invalidated cashback.

I did that and was told that because I received Free Shipping (w/ ShopYourWay Rewards Max), the cashback was forfeited. Eventually I got someone who set things right, but I think they are tightening the ship on manual cashback adjustments.

4myrebate is like a contracted company which handles rebates for various manufacturers. They are legit and are mostly reliable. As with any rebate make sure you follow directions to have desired result.

To answer second question tigerdirect does not handle the rebate and so you will have to go to 4myrebate site and register your rebate with them first (using offer code: TD-6633). Then you print out your forms and mail appropriate material to them (4myrebate). Please follow all directions as stated!!!

If you check the first post you will find the actual .pdf for rebate form with has all the details. Or just Check out the links below:

http://static.highspeedbackbone.n...8US%29.pdf

https://www.4myrebate.com/Claim/O...cd=TD-6633

Good luck...if you are still not sure ask away and I'm sure someone will help.

It is what is sounds like. You will be charged a small fee (usually 10%) which is directly deducted from your rebate amount to expedite your processing time (5-7 business days after your rebate is approved). Or you can wait the regular amount (8-10 weeks ) to get paid in full rebate amount.

steven88 09-09-2012 03:08 AM

I went ahead and placed my order for all 3...total came out to be $87.07 shipped to Cali....hopefully the $90 rebate goes through!

ParticleJG 09-09-2012 03:20 AM

I am curious how the $90 rebate will work. The terms specifically state - One per person, address, etc etc. So this is 3 rebates per person? And has fighting with a rebate company ever worked assuming this gets screwy?

What does everyone do that does these rebates? Wait it out the 8-10 weeks or just have them charge a fee to get it quicker?

The safe bet is to lose a few bucks but get your rebate much more quickly and easily. :D That's what I'd do.

Yeah, it is a rip off to charge 10% for the rebate center to do what it is paid to do and going to do anyway. Still I went ahead and paid the $3. I opted for the backpack as I've been wanting one for travel. After shipping the cost was $24 so I figured why not pay the $3. It will still be a free backpack +$3.. Had I ordered one of the $29.99 bags I would have waited the 8-10 weeks.

I have done these 4myrebate AMX gift card rebates....all you have to do is call the 1800 number on the back...and request them to change your gift card to a check....I've done it before and works just fine...it even says on the rebate (fine print) that you may request for a check after receiving your card, and calling the 1800 number

They also have a FAR Belkin iPad case:

steven88 09-09-2012 04:50 AM

sorry if this has been discussed already....but if you order all 3 bags, how exactly can you get $90 in rebates, when it says limit 1?

underblueskies 09-09-2012 04:52 AM

I tried to add the backpack to my cart, but then TD said there weren't any items in my cart. Now the backpack page says "Only Available In Store." =( Anyone else having this issue or know if the backpacks will come back before the rebate is over? That's really the only one I wanted.

Typically a few weeks. I mailed in these last time they were on Rebate on 08/25/12, the status changed to received on 09/04/12. Then, on 09/07/12, it changed to approved.

Once approved, it gets sent to AMEX where they issue the card and mail it. The status will change to processing and you'll see a Proxy # as well.

I always chose standard processing. I can't justify paying the rebate center 10%, especially when TigerDirect's rebates have a pretty quick turn around time to begin with.

Btw, does anyone know if the $10 off $100 email signup is still going on?

Also, if ordered more than 1, do we mail in one single envelope?

Yes, it is still going on.

Clear your cookies and open up TigerDirect.com. Move your cursor around the page, but don't click anything. Just sit there and eventually a pop up will show up. Once you sign up, it can take 2 to 4 days to get the coupon. Last time I did it, it took 2 and a half days.

And yes, you can mail them all in one the envelope. Just follow the directions and include the signed and dated rebate form, a copy of the invoice, and UPCs from each product.

Now the backpack says its only available "in store"...(dosen't even show the price on line)

Yeah, when it does that, it means they have ran out of stock on the website.

Sometimes they will get more in... but I doubt it in this case, since the rebate is only valid through the 16th.

jimbeau 09-09-2012 05:26 AM

Why is everyone ordering from TD instead of CC?I know they are basically one in the same. CC also has this Total Defense Anti-Virus 6-month subscription with ARS software download free as a gift with any order. http://www.circuitcity.com/applic...=CA10-9000 Not that I would even use it.

There is a limit of ONE rebate per item. You can NOT order two or three of any of the given items.

fymfaholes 09-09-2012 06:31 AM

Not sure where you are getting the math from, but the only one that is not "available only in store" is $30. Shipping is 4.05 So, there is no profit on the item. It costs $4 after rebate.

The bag is likely well worth $4., but where on earth are some of you saying you make a profit buying it?

The profit was made when ordering all three bags including the $20 backpack that had a $30 rebate attached. After shipping costs it was a money maker if you got ALL THREE.

Though Tigerdirect.com product page says "limit 1 rebate per item", the rebate link [4myrebate.com] says

Offer Maximum: 3 claim(s) per household

Does that mean that one could order 3 of the same item and claim rebate for all the three?

baonguyen312 09-09-2012 06:56 AM

I purchased all 3 items. To qualify for $90 rebate, someone please correct me if anything wrong:

- Print 1 Rebate Application
- Print 1 Copy of Invoice
- Cut 3 Original UPC from 3 items
- Send all of those in the same envelope to rebate company.

You are all good! When you file for any MIR, it is always a good practice to have a photocopy of the mail-in documents for your records. But, 4myrebate.com does a terrific job of doing this themselves (including the envelope) for all of their rebates.

robinski_ 09-09-2012 07:06 AM

I did so many rebates every months without any problems. But this one made me confused about it. I checked the rebate page on 4myrebate. It shows like this:

Offer Code: TD-6633
Country: United States of America
Manufacturer: Eastwear
Amount: $30.00
Offer Maximum: 3 claim(s) per household

Resellers: TigerDirect.com Website
CircuitCity.com
CompUSA Retail Stores
GlobalComputer.com
CompUSA.com Website
TigerDirect.com Retail Outlets

Clearly, it said "Amount: $30.00" . So i'm worried how can we receive $90 rebate if the rebate company just limits $30 for an amount?

It is $30 for each item. Since the rebate link is active now, try adding ALL the items in your list and you will realize that you will receive $90 back in rebates. TD rebate wordings are generally confusing, but if you do it once you will realize what the fine prints mean.

that's right, I am just printing the pre-populated rebate form as I type, and in this process, the system actually tells me that, AFTER I ADDED ALL 3 ITEMS, my maximum has reached, meaning, yes, we are allowed to buy these three different items under one rebate offer.

Login to your TD account. Click on "Order History, Invoice Copies, and Return Authorizations." You can track the status of your order therein. Once your order ships, you should be able to see the weblink under "View Invoice" as active. You can print this or take a photocopy of the packing slip.

Don't send the order confirmation e-mail as 4myrebate.com does not consider it a valid proof of purchase.

People should research/understand the system before attempting these rebates. If not, you'll find it to be a pricey learning curve.

Hey guys and gals....don't worry about the $90 dollar rebate you will get all (3 x $30). If you were to accurately read the rebate offer page (https://www.4myrebate.com/Claim/O...cd=TD-6633) it clearly states under offer maximum: "3 claim(s) per household."

So if you take that into consideration you can certainly buy all three items and also apply for $30 on each for rebate for a total of $90.

In addition if you are not satisfied there are ppl. who have successfully done so in the past deal just in august and they were allowed to apply for different rebates for individual products on the same rebate offer code.

I believe most (including me) have already bought this item once with this offer. Try calling/chatting TD and see if they can add it to your existing order. If they don't, hold on this deal for the future as I believe there might be few more FREE after MIR offers from TD sometime soon..

I've never done 4myrebate, so it would be great if someone can answer my question.

After ordering, can we do the web part of the rebate (completing the online form and printing it) and then send the printed form (with UPC and receipt) as soon as we get it, or we will need the UPC code for completing the online form as well.

THanks

You can proceed to complete the online part of the MIR anytime after you place the order and wait till you receive the products. Sign and date the printout that shows $90 payout. Once you receive the items, cut all the 3 original UPC labels along with a copy of the invoice (you can print the invoice from your TD account once the order ships). Don't forget, send all the mail-in documents in a single envelope.

Click on this weblink:

Fill in the relevant details after adding ALL the 3 items in a single rebate application. So your payout should show up as $90 before you print-it out. I have done this few times earlier (specifically with 4myrebate.com) without any glitch.

Hi

I see that some have ordered a cheque instead of a gift card for previous offers from 4myrebate. Is this something that can be done routinely or only in special situations. Is there a way to change this option when we sign up for the online part? Thanks.

You have to wait till you receive the AMEX reward card. Once you receive it, call the 1800 number on the back of this card and request for a check. The reward card will then be void and you will receive the check within a couple of weeks typically.

I just got done filling out the 4myrebate for claiming all 3 of my bags....and from the looks of it, the rebate should process fine with everything in one....but I wanted to confirm with you guys first :)

You are just fine shipping everything inside one envelope. Cut out the 3 original UPC labels, sign and date the rebate form (should show $90 payout) and send them along with a copy of the invoice.

Yeah, mine should be here later today. UPS had it scheduled for the 13th but shows it on the truck out for delivery.

Lucky you. Mine is in town already, but I called UPS and they said they are transferring it so that the USPS can deliver it tomorrow. I thought it was going UPS all the way. :(

Cool, thanks. And yes my 4myrebate form says $90....since I bought all three....each person's 4myrebate form might be different though ($30, $60)

Something seems weird. If all the 3 products have the same tracking #, that implies they should have been in the same package. If you received just one of the 3, I believe you should call TigerDirect to sort this out.

From TD web page: Multiple Items
If you ordered multiple items, we may deliver them in separate shipments to ensure the fastest service. However, you won't be charged additional shipping fees for this faster service.

It is fine if TD ships them in different shipments. But if all of the 3 products have the same tracking #, something doesn't sound right.

Got the backpack! ~$5 MM.

Got the same one couple of weeks back. Got an email saying that rebate approved. This is a decent backpack.
