I can tell you that Gabriel is the manufacture used on several popular brand new GM cars and trucks and I think they also supply some Ford and Toyota. Been in business over 100 years and are one of the only companies that chrome the rod in the center of the strut which makes them last longer and not break. Take a look at:

Gabriel moved the factory to Mexico and China. If you are OK with paying made in USA for foreign parts they are probably OK. I prefer Monroes because they are made in USA and they tend to give me a softer ride (I live someplace where the roads suck). Some KYB's are also made in USA, but always check first.
