Any ideas on Tablets

Was looking at getting a tablet, which ones would you guys recommend. I am looking for a 10" to do ebook reading, websurfing, and watch movies on. I am not a fan of Apple...never have been. I would like either a USB port or microUSB and a headphone jack. I only need wireless, not planning on putting it to a plan. When I took a survey to see which one was best for my uses the top picks for me were the Asus Eee Pad Transformer, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Acer Iconia A510. Of them which would you guys recommend and I am also curious as to why or you can recommend something else.

I would avoid samsung because they take over 6 months to update the OS and in1-2 years you will get no updates from this massive company.

Also use hotspot shield app for public wifi.

I know you are not a fan of Apple, but I recommend the iPad. I hated the concept of the iPad seeing as I have an iPhone.. I figure why do I need one of those as its just a giant iPhone without the phone function?

Turns out I use it more than I thought I would. I had a 7" android tablet before this that I bought for $50, and it worked just as I expected judging how much I paid. The iPad runs smoothly and does what you need it to do.

I love watching movies, or playing around with apps right before going to bed. The size and feel is nice on it.

Unfortunately I do not have much experience with other tablets other than the $50 android device I bought, but I figured I'd give my two cents on the iPad. Definitely give it a test drive at the Apple store and see what you think before making the decision.

You might want to demo the tablets with 4.1 Jelly Bean since the new Andriod tablets have finally matched the smooth iPad after 2 years. I have the $399 iPad 2 and $250 Nexus 7(4.1 JB), both are smooth.
