Being a new member with no history is not going to incentify me to sell you mine. Sorry.

Haha, seriously...

I personally got some of my co-workers in on the 50,000 or 100,000 UR deal and bought what I needed off them, atleast those who would sell. A couple still sell them to me as they just like the credit :D

I know there are sites that buy your UR points off you but it's strange to me that there isn't a site that sells them. Even if it were 1.5c/pt it's still a good deal in many circumstances!

No buying or selling allowed here, sorry. I am sure you can find other sites for that. :)

Thanks for the reminder. Sorry about that.

Although the ratio is horrible you can purchase points from Chase. 1,000 points is $25. Obviously this is a bad deal unless you were very close to a large reward and were a few points away.

Hope this helps.

How is it possible to transfer these? I'm not looking to buy or sell but give to a family member.

You do it in the UR site itself under the Combine option. You just put in their name, ccard #, and their last name I think.

Just know that Chase is cracking down on this. Lots of people have been getting their accounts closed for doing transfers to people outside of what their T&Cs allow. I think it's safe to do it to family members in the same house but not with a different address.

Who knows, you could be fine. I have always been but I stopped doing it once I heard about all the people whose accounts were cancelled for doing this.

krazeenyc 12-19-2012 01:17 PM

why would they crack down on transfer points to family or friends?

Because it violates their T&Cs. They probably realized that savvy people, like myself, redeem them for airline/hotel points which likely cost them more to redeem than say a check or gift card.

I stayed in a suite in Bali for 10 nights for a whopping 80,000 UR points or $800 worth. Chances are they paid more than $800 so they don't like people transferring their points to people like me :(

I found out that they do crack down like yu said -- can you teach us how to be saavy as well? thx.

Do tell about the Bali conversion. I'm a points junkie myself and have had some pretty sweet deals, but I don't see how this one is possible on any of the airlines/hotels that I collect points on.

Bali Hyatt Suite redemption. Only 8,000 pts a night as it's a category 1 hotel. The rooms are ok to be frank but the grounds and the hotel itself is great.

I don't have any tricks really. I now sadly have to earn all my points through spend or CCard signups :(

Pizzahut 12-24-2012 07:36 PM

whats the sale value of these points btw?

I have a buyer that I sell Amex and UR Points to.

I just sold 20K UR Points for $240. Hope that answers your question.

8mpg 02-10-2013 10:34 PM

You can probably do better than that. Amex is 1.3c/point. UR is probably good for 1.5c/point

My buyer deposits cash into my bank account or sends me Paypal (gift to avoid fees) before I even send the points so 0 chance of getting screwed.
