Go with the Z580, much better build quality and keyboard.

I don't have hands on experience with the inspiron but I'm working on a Z580 as we speak :)

In the beginning I had some serious driver problems which were hard to solve (I don't know how things are atm but the driver download site from lenovo was pretty crappy, they were working on it they said).

However when I finally managed to get all working (was a problem with audio & display drivers) I'm happy with it and haven't had any problems any more.

I should note however the build-in mic is really! crappy, skyping with that just doesn't work without shouting and I'm 100% sure it is not my settings and its tapped. Works fine with a headset of course.
